"American-Style Café with Artisan Croissants Entering this cafe is like stepping through a time warp to America. Highlights are the flavored coffees (donut latte! muffin cappuccino!) and the croissants. They're made by hand behind a glass window all day long. In a land of mediocre puff pastry, they could be some of the best in town."

We went here for breakfast four or five times. Great bacon and eggs at very reasonable prices. The coffee could be better but the staff are very friendly. It is crowded most of the time but that's because it's good.

Very attentive! We had a rather large group and they assisted us well even with a language barrier (it does help if you have someone who knows a bit of spanish). Great treats and coffee is good! A nice terraza to sit at and inside has good vibes. I wonder if they light the little fireplace in the winter? I haven't seen it yet and I've lived here almost 3 years.

Perfect for breakfast and I mean almost any kind. Sweet which of course is the most popular here, but they make really nice sandwiches too. Tasty coffee, fresh orange juice and relatively good atmosphere.

Good place to have breakfast in San Sebastián. It is a nice little cafe/bakery with tables. But as said before: it is nice and good, but don't expect something super wow.

As most places in San Sebastian, serves excellent coffee, quickly. Croissants freshly baked everyday. Also does a nice bacon & scrambled eggs.

It is simply a solid place. There is even a sofa if you prefer. A great place to study. I know quite a few students who go their to study.

Yelp
Items Selected: Pelayo Rosquillas Pastel Valesco Fruit Ring Cream Bun Persian Celebrating a temporary break in the rain by visiting Mount Igueldo and the San Sebastian Aquarium it was with weather again turning stormy that shelter was sought at Hogar Dulce Hogar and with the small dining room packed as the heavens once again burst forth the experience was mostly a good one, a half dozen pastries selected to enjoy at a table with free WiFi with only the dried out fruit ring found to lack. Loosely translated as "Home Sweet Home," the interior cozy with service capable of understanding English though somewhat limited in their ability to explain the goods, it was just prior to 18h00 that I arrived to the bustling cafe and although only a fraction of items were listed in terms of names or prices it was largely a matter of experience that guided my order, a few items plated for now with the rest photographed and rebagged for later. Obviously no longer warm given the time of arrival, most of the items likely sitting on shelves since the bakery opened midday, it was first in bites of an item labeled as "Pelayo" that my palate was entrusted, the almond-crusted cake something like a Pastel Crema fortified with frangipane while the more traditional Pastel Valesco was itself topped in nuts, the interior just short of 'set' and eggy with restrained sweetness. Already mentioning the fruit ring, a laminated 'donut' that may have been good when fresh but clearly here suffering from time left uncovered behind glass, a far better flavor was found in the cinnamon-sugar dusted Rosquillas, the texture not unlike that of a churro with a light crunch to the outside giving way to a wispy open crumb. Relatively straight forward with the cream bun, the dough itself light while insides were more "custard" than the those found elsewhere in Spain, it was finally with a crispy Persian that the tasting concluded and with a similar vanilla texture sandwiched between flaky layers of puff pastry the results were by far the best version of the item found throughout my Basque visit - potentially the best pastry sampled in all of San Sebastian.

Yelp
We went to this cafe after walking the beach this afternoon. It has a great environment! It has a cozy fire place and couches. There is outside seating and many tables to select from. There are toys available for children so the adults can enjoy cafe. They also have croissants and pastries. I wish I had tried the tea because it looked excellent! It has cute mugs with tea bags. We sat here for hours talking. It is definitely a welcoming environment. They accept cards and cash.

Yelp
Came here for a quick breakfast, just had toast w/ tomato, croissant and coffees. Really nice service, although I did watch the waitress cough all over her hands and then proceed to touch dishes, utensils, etc without washing...eek. Everything in the pastry case and coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I'd go back.

Yelp
LOVE! Got the chocolate and banana pancakes- among the best ive ever had! Hummus was good, goat cheese salad was superb! Service was good. Place is so fresh, so homey, so reasonably priced. If i lived in San Sebastian i would have breakfast and lunch here everyday! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Yelp
Breakfast was still available around 11:30 AM and there were several plates to choose from, most including a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and a choice of standard coffees (cafe, cafe con leche or cortado). For 30 Euros, three of us each had a breakfast combo, split a chocolate eclair with vanilla crema (custard) added a second round of cafe con leches, and we took away a dozen or so beautiful and delicious pastries to enjoy later at our flat. Great, speedy service with smiles, free wifi and comfy chairs. Lots of locals chatting and a warm atmosphere to enjoy! Nearly perfect for a quick bite or to linger and sip coffee and nosh for an hour+

Yelp
This was an excellent find in the Gros neighborhood of San Sebastian near Zurriola beach. It has an excellent breakfast menu which is unusual in Spain. The staff is very friendly but the service is a little slow. There's free Wi-Fi and stuff for kids to do. There are also several very clean bathrooms. I recommend the chocolate banana pancakes. They also have some very nice salads for lunch. And remarkably there also open late for dessert and serve beer and wine. A great find one block from the beach for this Northern Californian.

Yelp
Wonderful find for breakfast. Great cafe con leche and croissants with jam. Husband had scrambled eggs and bacon. Free wifi and nice atmosphere
