I never knew there could be a place like this in Chicago! Laid back environment and professional people. Good food. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. You'll like it here more if you like Wisconsin 'cause the ingredients they add are mainly from Wisconsin and organic too! Nice ambience - you may get the feel of 70's and 80's a bit. Convenient store adjacent to the restaurant has lots of oriental stuff.

The food is great and you get a lot for your money. A great option for vegetarians and vegans while still catering to the meat eaters of the world. Plenty of outdoor space for nicer days and great music selection. Coffee shop vibe with restaurant options offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Could be a little cleaner though.

Waitress are super chill here, service and food are excellent, it's also a cute place and even better; all the products they use are 100% organic! I'm totally visiting again:)

Vintage breakfast restaurant and grocery store. Awesome menu, with tons of Vegan & GF options. Great taste, good portions, all at an affordable price. Worth the visit!

Absolutely love this place!!! Awesome vibes and really great food for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and everything in between! Everyone can enjoy the cafe-the food and the atmosphere.

This place was almost full for breakfast on the weekend, and I can ONLY imagine that it is because it is overhyped (vegan) and trendy! Wood was on the verge of being terrible and cooking time was extremely long. I ordered pancakes (they only have wheat and buckwheat) - wheat and my wife ordered buckwheat. It took 40! minutes to cook! and then they bring me 2 blackened, thin and hard "pancakes". They charged me 75 cents for a spoon of sour cream to make them at least a little moist. It might be healthy, but it tasted like a cardboard. In the end even my dog, who loves pancakes, did not want immediately to eat it! The prices are extremely high also. I understand that this is trendy and is in run-down neighborhood, so there are no other places to eat, but try to avoid it if you can. I am sure it is not healthy to eat tasteless food!

The only redeeming quality of my meal was the cocktail. Service was terrible; I wasn’t greeted while standing confused in the middle of the room (because there is no signage that this is a seat-yourself place) even though the same waitress passed by me twice, and I waited over 20 minutes to be noticed and given a menu once I sat down. When the menu finally arrived it was completely different than what’s published online. I ordered the fish and chips, which specifically states on the menu that it comes with tartar sauce. Not only did it not come with any sauce, when I asked if they had tartar sauce I was told no. The food was totally forgettable and wasn’t at all worth the cost. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here and will not be returning. Don’t be fooled by the cute atmosphere.

Overall: Great vegetarian option for a casual meal, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The good: Great tasting vegetarian food. They also have vegan and meat options as well, and all of it it seemed delicious (tried buffalo chili). Lots of interesting combinations and choices on the menu, it's not just typical stir fry's and veggie burgers. It's no Chicago Diner, but the chefs definitely are creative. The patio and atmosphere are great, perfect for a nice night out. To top it all off, the shop attached to it seems very convenient and has some good items. The not-so-good: Service was slow and sometimes unattentive. We never got plates for our nachos (we wanted to ask, but they never came back before more food came). With that said, the food did seem to take a little long given that we were one of the few there. The shop items are really expensive. I get that they're organic, but woah. Atmosphere: 9.5/10 Service: 7.5/10 Food: 8.5/10
