Harbor Town Pub

We stopped in here during our visit to San Diego. We were here over the Thanksgiving weekend. The place wasn't that busy. We got seated very quickly. We ordered the Steakhouse burgers which was very delicious and full of flavor. We also had several draft beers and a margarita. The drinks were very refreshing. We enjoyed our visit and the staff were very nice and friendly, however the music was obnoxiously loud which shorted our visit.

The food, drinks & service were excellent! Felt like home away from home (Native Texans here) while we visited our daughter in the Navy. Have to find a reason to return! Jalapeño Bacon Burger is to die for! Visited several times while in SD for 4 days. You cannot go wrong. We had a blast. We have missed this place after returning home! I’ve been a loyal customer since accidentally walking into this place during their friends & family opening in the fall of 2011. While it has changed a bit since those first few phenomenal years, it still is my go-to place in San Diego for food, drinks, and the occasional karaoke song. I do wish they’d return to the pre-pandemic, full-service model - instead of ordering from a window - since it was the interaction with the staff that really made Harbor Town special in the beginning. Regardless, it’s my go-to spot for food and drinks in Point Loma and we’re blessed to have such a spot in Point Loma!

Excellent food and service! I had the BBQ pork nachos and they were some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. The generous portion of pork was cooked perfectly and scattered over the nachos. Plenty of cheese and toppings with it. Also ordered two kids meals that were decent and the Asian chicken salad that was absolutely delicious. The seating is first come first serve but we were able to grab a table for four quickly on a Saturday evening. Staff behind the bar and food window made efforts to introduce themselves and note our names as well. The place was full and there were several other families with young kids there. It looked like a bar from the outside but I was pleasantly impressed with how family friendly it was inside. My husband and I would have loved to hang out here longer and will come back next time we are in San Diego.

Best bar around Point Loma. Just moved here from Texas, and have been looking for a cozy country bar like the ones back home and I finally found it, not exactly country music, etc, but the atmosphere is close enough! So warm & welcoming, great service, and i love the indoor/outdoor vibe. I went alone and felt so comfortable and had a great time watching the games! I also like kids and dogs are welcome! Thanks for giving me the little piece of the back home feeling I’ve been searching for:)

Must order your food at the bar and they bring it out to you the food was decent as far as fish and chips go had a lot of arcade games in the back

Awesome vibes here at this local watering hole. This small town Pub has an abundance of entertainment from Bingo to darts & pinball machines to video games. The pub-style food is also very good and their late night hours make it an ideal spot to meet & greet. I stopped in on a Thursday night and it was Bingo night! They also have a great draft beer selection and custom cocktails served up by a super friendly staff that wants to know you by name. My kind of place when in the mood for a rather loud environment that balances a varsity of music with ongoing Bingo announcements. Having the late night munchies, I zoned in on their Pub Burger! Cooked to a juicy medium with a side wedge salad instead of fries. Delicious! Washing it all down with a frosty local Lager, made my night complete. My friend and co-worker, had a fresh grilled Ahi plate that he wolfed down with great pleasure. Definitely in my bookmarks now for Brew Pubs. A Five Star Fabulous night, where the laid back vibe of having fun and a delicious meal, frosty beer & friendly service, made all the Stars align making everything alright! The service here is questionable. The bartender was rude to me in front of a full bar. I was then passed on to another bartender by the first associate. When I asked for the manager, I was told that the person who had just passed me off was the manager. I said nothing and walked away. Later, the "manager" came over to the table and apologized for being rude, acknowledging that they were in the wrong. I'm not sure why a manager would ever act this way at an establishment that is presumably not owned by this manager. By the way, we were a party of three that spent over $200 on food and drinks (I got up to go to the bar for a second drink during the incident). My third drink was across the street at a fish place. You probably shouldn't turn down good business..... good luck Chad such a good joke that your manager didn't want to take my order ? I don't need drinks bought for me. I need good service. Not sure what you're trying to argue. It was bad service and this is the post about it. Yes, Go padres.... I hope you win some more achievements ....any.

Super fun and loud bar. We stopped in on a Thursday night and had drinks and food. They had bingo at 8:30 and didn't realize how fun that would be. The guy announcing the game was great and got the whole bar involved. They have a great beer and bourbon selection and play good music. Food is better than your average pub and prices are reasonable. We went back for happy hour and pinball the next day. They have parking, but it's a small lot. And when I say loud, the place is LOUD, so you have to want that vibe. It's not great for a sit and talk to your friends night.

The liveliest spot in town for Thursday night bingo! With delicious bar food, a loud and cheerful crowd, and a family-friendly vibe, so it's fun for everyone. I've literally seen people of all ages here at hingo having a hoot. They also have plenty of arcade games, lots of seating, and amazing staff.

Staying in SD and found this place after a quick Yelp search...of course. It was open to the street and had a good bit of volume coming from the inside, peeps starting off the holiday weekend right. Food service is all ordered from the end of the bar. It was quick and the dude working the counter had his system wired. It was fast and easy.drinks and appetizers came out quick. Buffalo cauliflower was lit. My kicking mule was great. We had the jalapeño bacon burger and SD cheesesteak. Both were delicious and well executed. Free shot on Friday night to thank the patrons. It was fireball or something but I thought it was a great touch. Well done Harbor Town Pub crew! You killed it!

Great food, awesome ambience, and even better for families with small kids or hanging out with a bunch of buddies to play arcade games Love Harbour Town... highly recommend to head here even if you have to go out of your way as it's clear a neighborhood joint.

Local bar, it was Bingo at 8:30 On Thursday and the place was packed. Great food and cold beer. Had a smash burger with fries and their cheesesteak sandwich. Both were delicious, (the cheesesteak was a killer the next day, lol). Local drafts and nice locals having fun. Would come back again.

Awesome ambiance. Solid prices. If padres win, $2 domestic beers. The food surprised me. Didn't expect the quality to be so high and the portions to be hefty. The staff is great and very entertaining. They provide quick and straight to the point service. Would return for sports, drinks, or to grab a quick bite.

Come here a couple times a month with the kids in the early afternoons first time trying the brunch menu out today looks amazing as their regular food always is. Order at the window and the kind staff waits on you, the bar, draft and cocktail selection is top notch!

This is not just your regular run of the mill bar, it is truly a neighborhood staple. It was so refreshing to walk in and enjoy more of a restaurant feel. This place is great for families- they offer high chairs if needed! And truly just a nice place to pop in for lunch/dinner. The staff is extremely friendly; truly gives a Cheers vibes, because everybody will know and remember your name lol. When you walk in there's an area in the back near the game room where you can order. They give you a number and you grab whichever spot calls to you! They have so many screens on with different games and one dedicated to the music reel playing. Great music selection, it was hard not to belt out every single song. My food came out very fast and fresh, it was such a nice touch. Drinks were made with so much love, I could hear the bartender shaking my drink from across the bar . If you're looking for a good, but sneaky, little cocktail The Point Loma Pancha is a must when you come! Seriously *chefs kiss* Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for lunch, dinner, drinks or some fun!

Had dinner with our son and food was so tasty! Lots of guilty pleasures on the menu! Good for the soul not for the heart!! Burgers are juicy and huge! Service is fantastic! The restaurant is super casual and homey; great for watching the Padres!

This is the friendliest, most genuine place I've ever been to in my life. Jen, a recent transplant from LV is a treasure. Their kitchen is open late night and the menu though limited is solid. Run don't walk.

Just love this place :-) such a cool vibe and always a happy friendly staff. Plus they just updated their side room with new pinball and arcade games. Amazing sliders too.

What a nice pub in Pt Loma! It's divey with games, music friendly staff. We had tacos and they were delicious. I'll come back for more. Drinks were good with with good selections

They had Bingo on Friday! This place is a local hidden gem. The staff are some of the friendliest people I've met in the area, and the food is top notch for being a bar! The ambiance is definitely giving dive bar, but who cares? The music is great, and the booths are perfect for groups. I brought my parents around 10:30pm, and they had a blast I had one of the burgers and really enjoyed it! Overall, don't expect a 5 star environment, but do expect a 5 star crew with food that'll make you smile.

Been here over half a dozen times. Every time good food, good beer, and amazing staff (Ben most recently, but you all always on point.). Money well spent, always, and consistently good vibes with good memories. No need for a lengthy critique, come in your looking for a good pub and good people; you'll find it here.

Absolutely wonderful. Such a treat to find truly good comfort food in a cozy casual environment. We had the sliders and fish and chips. Everyone was friendly and service was exceptional. My new favorite place.

Great vibe! Lots of locals. Sliders are a hit (you will not regret) and they have a self serve popcorn machine and wheel of "shots" you can spin. Service is great and consistent every-time we visit. Mostly counter and bar service but everyone is attentive.

My boss recently moved our office to Rosecrans St and I was really excited to know that we would be so close to Harbor Town Pub. The first time I had come here was on a date with my then boyfriend, now husband, so it holds a little special place to me! Now that it's closer to me, I've got to order lunch a couple times and I am hooked. I order online, wait 15 minutes and walk right over super easy. Plus the service is always so fast and friendly, I love it. So far I've only ordered the Crispy Red Hot Chicken Sandwich and it is so delicious, it's fried chicken, Franks Red Hot sauce, blue cheese and bacon. I crave this sandwich so frequently, but I have to control myself! The chicken is always so tender and flavorful and the blue cheese is perfect cheese to go with it and I forgot the best part it also has crispy onions, ugh so good. The sandwich does come with fries and they're always crispy but you are able to add to it, I've had it with garlic and it's perfectly stinky. My husband wants to come back where we can have dinner together so I'll have to try something different then. But please check them out, food is delicious and service is so friendly, definitely my new go to.

I stopped in for dinner not too long ago and it was a great experience! Very cool vibe. My sister and boyfriend both really liked their burgers. I opted for something different-a burrito. Not bad, but let's be real, if you want a really good burrito-you're gonna go to a taco shop. Really tasty salsa though! Anyway, I'll definitely be back, but I'll probably order a burger next time :)

The food at Harbor Town is really good. I got the Bahn Mi Chicken Burrito and my wife got the Poke Nachos, and both were absolutely delicious. Staff was super awesome, made you feel like a regular even if you're there for the first time. The pub is family friendly with popcorn for the kiddos (or adults like me who love popcorn). Great mood inside, not super loud or obnoxious. Definitely look forward to going back!

Decent amount of free parking in back. Went for lunch so there was a lot of tables available. The place is very clean and the set up for getting your food is quick. The service is also great!

The service here was amazing and the prices were decent (for the beers anyway) the games were a bit pricy but we had a blast challenging each other to games between rounds. We didn't eat food but kind of wished we had because everything that came out looked awesome. The staff was especially welcoming and accommodating and we can't wait to return!

Harbor Town Pub is the best!!! If you are picking up anyone from the airport, stop by Harbor Town every time!! No doubt!! Picked up my son last night and grabbed great eats on the way home! Picked my daughter tonight and my son said " Let's go back to Harbor"!

We totally lucked out when our search for a place to watch the Steelers play the Chargers led us to Harbor Town Pub, The service was out of this world - the team all works together and they are all super friendly and cool. Special shout out to Bri, Ben and Morgan, who made our experience so special. I should also point out that we were rooting for the Steelers in Chargers country and the fans were enthusiastic, but not agro. The food. Wow. We had the Portuguese sausage burrito and the farmer's scramble - both out of this world and unlike the usual bar fare. Extra bonus points for Heinz ketchup and local hot sauce on the table (have I mentioned that I'm a homer for the Burgh?). Drinks are great, decor is fun, sound system is perfect, half time music, bumps, but again, the service here is next level and truly sets it apart, HTP for MVP!

We stopped in on a Friday night and also during the day. The place is popping at night! Music, games, good food and friendly service is what you'll find here! Get the ginger soy wings!! They were the best wings I've tasted in a LONG time. Unique and not the run of the mill taste. The burgers and sliders were good, the family also really liked the bbq pork nachos. Honestly everything was amazing both times we stopped in and would definitely pop in again.

Double fried fries were a hit. All the sandwiches are big portions for a reasonable price. Loaded fries were not super loaded but other than that, excellent food! Service was nice.

Fabulous tasting food with a creative variety, laid back atmosphere of classic rock music videos playing on the tvs, and artwork on the walls. Servers/cashier were friendly and accommodating to review the ingredients list to see what I could eat as gluten free- but taking off a star because they didn't have many gluten free options, nor indications of "GF" on the menu, so I had to determine I could have the seared ahi tuna over rice and slaw WITHOUT the soy glaze sauce (which made it somewhat lacking in flavor- though the horseradish sauce drizzle added a nice touch.) The roasted Brussels were crispy, scalding, and beautiful, and for 6$ I was incredibly pleased. Would return for quick service, fun atmosphere, and a fulfilling meal!

I came here on Father's Day with a group of friends. You order from the counter first and then go sit down. The portions were very good sized. And the food was also good. I got the French toast and some kind of steak scramble thing with tortillas. We did have to ask for more tortillas as they only give you two and you definitely need more if you want to make little tacos. The place is pet friendly which is nice. There's also a little arcade game area. They have parking and there was street parking as well and we had no problem finding parking on the street. It's a small establishment but super cute. For a drink I had the Bloody Mary and it was not very good and for $10 I felt that should have been better. If I go back I definitely will not order a drink.

Well so glad I walked 23 mins from Point Loma Annex to come here. I was going to Uber to waterfront. And changed my mind. Then I find out same owners. But man. My sandwich was so good!!!! Flavorful. Yummy. I didn't catch everyone's names but Alex, Carley, Erica were great. Highly recommend. My friend got a burrito and loved it. I got the Argentinian yum. The burgers looked great. Will come back (if in area)

Wish we had a Harbor Town Pub in Orange County, CA. This place is truly a down to earth type of ambience where everyone is friendly & personable. We were first greeted by Alex who spoke to us like a friend catching up with an old bud. Food was tasty & delish. 10/10 stars

The food and drinks are spectacular, but what really made us enjoy our experience was Ben the bartender. He was so friendly and welcoming, we're definitely coming back! Made the experience a 10/10

How have I not reviewed Harbor Town Pub before? This PL spot is beloved by all. Literally every server introduces themselves to each customer. Ambiance is sports bar meets family pub with a touch of colored lights, popcorn, a great juke box and a water buffalo. Don't ask questions just go and have a blast. There is a parking lot out back that somehow seems to have spots even when the pub is busy. There's late night food too! Guys. It's such a satisfying experience every dang time. The drinks are cold and poured quickly, and the food is great. The fish sandwich is epic. One might consider it the Michelin version of a filet-o-fish from that Scottish place with the Golden Arches. The Brussels are ooooooh so good! Portions are big. Fries are crispy and hot. Hot Chicken, Banh Mi and the Cali Burrito all hit home too. You can't go wrong. I have no good food pics because I always smash it all into my mouf immediately.

It's been almost 7 years since I first reviewed Harbor Town and it is still just as good now as it was then! It's one of those places that I can count on for good food, good drinks, and awesome service every single time I go in. But my main reason for visiting is the Waterfront Sliders *drool* It's the same great sliders without having to battle the Waterfront crowds - win-win! It's still very much a neighborhood bar and that's a good thing. Not the kind you feel like an outsider in, but the kind that you feel like a friend in. If you haven't been to Harbor Town before, I highly recommend it. And if you haven't been because you don't go to Point Loma often, head there an hour or two before you catch your flight and check it out. It's worth it!

Great food at a great price, great service with polite and fast servers, and welcoming to all with two legs and four. Added an extra space for the arcade, which is great for the kids and adults.

Cool vibes. Tried to do laundry near by and they were closed. Decided to come hear for a drink with the lady and happy that I now have to do laundry tomorrow morning! Matemaker Mongo Peach Smash was a bit sweeter that my usually liking but the atmosphere is dope made our experience a fun Monday vibe!

Solid location in the greater Point Loma area. Came here after a business function locally and looked for a bite to eat and a place to grab a drink. Very friendly neighborhood vibes with decent selection of tasty food. Fries were really good. Cheese steak was good although the portion was a bit smaller. Service solid. Beer selection was good, as expected for San Diego having so many breweries. Ended up walking here from my hotel, but there's also a parking lot nearby that has a reasonable number of spots if you're looking to drive/park.

Jen is the most entertaining bartender I've ever met! We need more of her in this world She's a breath of fresh air

Great drinks, super friendly staff. They make sure to get your name and give theirs, even remembered mine when I came back! Food was very good, a notch above basic pub grub. Lots of TV 's with games on. I'm from out of town but this will be my go to while I'm here!

Vibe was amazing. If you like good loud music this is the place. Everyone was friendly. Food was really good. 3 in our family and we each got a different item and we all enjoyed our items. Son had a a Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, husband had the Hub Burger and I had the Red Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious. All come with seasoned fries. them. Kid friendly even thou its a Pub. Definitely recommended.

We came here for my husband's birthday brunch. This is a great neighborhood pub where even newcomers feel like they've been coming here for years. I suggest you either familiarize yourselves with the menu and know what you want prior to coming in because you stand in line to place your order and find a table afterwards. They also have a walk up bar as well. Nina took our order and effortlessly made us feel welcomed. The awesome part of our order was since we were first timers our libations were on them! Now on to the grub. The food was overall amazing. I was able to grab pixes of everything except for my son in law's burrito which we will start with. -OG w/linguica: My son in law, a native San Diegan who is part Mexican and has had practically every burrito in all of San Diego has said this has got to be the best breakfast burrito he's ever had as well as the salsa. He didn't expect much from it but he was blown away! -The Denny: Let me just tell you that Dennys has nothing on their version of the Denny. My son had to have some of that salsa on his hash brown too and he was in heaven! -Bicuits and gravy: It is very hard to find good biscuits and gravy that is paired beautifully well. Either the biscuits are dry or hard on the outside or the gravy is bland. Not in this case! The biscuits were nice and moist with a nice soft outside and the gravy had a great flavor to it. A perfect combination. -Steak and eggs:Yes I'm gonna say it. Best steak and eggs ever! Everything on it was perfect. I don't know who came up with this combination but it was pure genius! -Peanut Butter Açaí Bowl: You'd want to come travel this far for this açaí bowl. Flavor, value, and the size of everything you get in it! Our libations!!! I had the frozen margarita and it was a double. For 10.50 I was buzzin pretty good! And my hubs had the Point Loma pancha and it is up there as one of his top faves! *****and I have got to say their hash browns are HANDS DOWN THE BEST PREPARED HASHBROWNS IN SAN DIEGO! Well cooked, not soggy, not burned, just PERFECTION! Try it with their salsa!! Also they have an 80s style arcade and for us baby boomers it will bring you back to your child hood. It will def be one of our regular hang outs when we're in the area again. The prices were great as well! Thank you NINA and the gang for the awesome customer service, never leaving our water jugs empty, delicious food and libations!!

This ahi club sandwich is bussin!! Amazing!! Aero whiskey sour was great and the service is good. Overall everything was great! :)

Honestly? Outstanding vibes! Came here as the last stop during a night out and had no idea what to expect. Looks can be deceiving as the exterior didn't look like much yet the inside was modern cozy. Definitely felt like a locals spot, especially for Thursday night trivia. Loved how casual and cozy this place felt. One thing that stood out was the friendliness of the staff. The person operating the register and the bartenders were genuinely nice. The drinks were good and I look forward to returning in the future to try more of their menu.

Great spot for a Sunday brunch. They have an excellent Bloody Mary. Not too heavy on the garnish but excellent on the taste. I ordered the linguica scramble. It is so filling. I could only eat about half. Warning if you are looking for gluten free: ask for no tortillas on top. The hash browns are perfectly cooked. The sunny side toast is also delicious. And the fruit cup on the side is great. Strawberries, bananas and pineapple. Yum! I would have liked a side of the fruit with my scramble too. No wait if you get there right at 9. But not too much longer.
