"Haas Beisl, Margareten by Catherine Hazotte. First established in 1935, family Karall opened the ‘Haas Beisl’. The restaurant is charmingly Viennese, quite tiny and almost hidden between the Filmcasino and a book store on Margaretenstraße. ‘Haas Beisl’ serves mouth-watering traditional dishes. The staff is friendly and knows best, which wine to offer you for which meal. There is also an option for vegetarians and vegans. Make sure to leave some room for a dessert – every option on the menu is a treat. You can smoke inside of the restaurant as well as outside on the tables in the front ‘Schanigarten’."

Enjoyed this restaurant so much! No menus in english and you won't need it since the service is helpful and professional. I so much prefeer visits like these over the city-centered recommendations. Had roast beef with onions (zwiebelrostbraten) and a sort of half-n-half-beer which was to my fullest delight. As a tourist in town, go here!

Decided to come here for lunch on my first day in Vienna after reading the reviews that this place does not have an English Menu :P Ordered the Tafelspitz and it was delicious!!! Probably will come back again to try their schnitzel as well.

Had the vibes of a pub, but more restaurant focused. Found the food to be quite tasty for a reasonable price. We happened in, just after opening and were the first there. Would recommend reserving a table, like most restaurants in the area, as seats fill quick or are already held. Staff was very helpful. Would return for another meal!

Really good food. But, really rude waiters, two "older" guys who constantly didn't want to speak in English with us, gave us menus in german without any explanation, harassed my friend because she didn't put her jacket in the exact hook he wanted. Then just as I swallowed my last bite he immediately took my plate and cutlery although I wanted to try my friends food. We will never come back because all over Vienna are restaurants with the same menu but with kinder staff. And the toilets are really disgusting.

We ate there before and had a great meal. We saw that they offered Goose and immediately made reservations for another meal. What a disappointment. The friendly waitress was not there and the goose was so overcooked that my wife couldn't even cut into it. If it weren't for the red cabbage and the Knödel we would have had a terrible meal. Telling the waiter about it was a waste of time. Btw. all we got was the leg and thigh.

Amazing food and service!! I have eaten tafelsptiz all over Vienna. Plachutta was my go too but this was much better!!! The apple and horseradish was grated fresh! The cream and chive sauce was soooo good too! My friends had the venison schnitzel and gave me a taste and it soo was perfect!!!! I highly suggest this little gem!
