It is one of the best beef cutlets I have ever had. Even though the restaurant opens at 11, the line starts forming as early as 10. The restaurant is very small and compact, typical of restaurants in Japan, but it still feels warm and cozy. The food is absolutely amazing, the meat is very juicy, and the coating on the meat is very thin. The meat is grilled on a hot stone, so it cooks very quickly. Unfortunately, the food must now be ordered as a set menu, which means not everyone can eat the side dishes provided.

With their excellent Google reviews, there is generally a long line. We went at 5pm to beat the rush and only waited 5 mins. The restaurant only seats about 9 people and people generally spend 20-30 minutes here. The queue goes down the stairs so if you see people waiting at ground level I would say that’s at least an hour wait.
The beef itself is exceptionally soft and tender. I wasn’t sure why they made a deal about offering one free rice refill, but upon eating it made sense. Everything presented goes very well with rice. They only have one thing you can order here and that specialisation shines through.
The restaurant can get very smokey with everyone doing their own final grilling on the mini hot plate. So if you are sensitive to cooking smoke, may want to keep that in mind.

Food was amazing AND service was great!
The meat was juicy, tender, and flavorful. Depending on the item you choose, you also get a set menu. Staff were always available to help, for example, explaining what certain side dishes and sauces were, and how to eat it.
They even tried their best to communicate with us in English.
Lastly, this restaurant even provided a bin to store personal belongings underneath the table and aprons to prevent any splatters.
Overall, this place was great!

It was a one hour wait to get inside but the waiter warned that the wait was about 1 hour and he was spot on. Once inside the decor is simple but inviting and comfortable. The staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. The food was great and in the end the one hour wait was worth it. My only criticism would be the extremely limited beverage options. If you drink beer you might be ok with the limited choice but that didn’t suit me and in the end i went for a Pepsi. I think sake would probably go well with the food and would think that might be a good option.

When we arrived, the restaurant was packed. We waited for 20 minutes to get a table. I ordered the large portion which was two pieces of the beef cutlet and a beer. The food was served quickly and the service crew explained how to go about cooking the meat and what to do with the side dishes. You cook the beef to the preferred doneness you like and the dip in the sauces. The cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender inside. It was the perfect combination. The taste was amazing too and goes perfectly with the beer.
Service was inconsistent. One of the lady gave very good service wherelse the younger long hair lady was quite rude.

Amazing food and atmosphere. We came here on the last day of our trip and got to the restaurant at 11:30AM on a Sunday. There was 5 people ahead in line and with waited for only about 25 minutes. Do note that the restaurant has a nine seat capacity so do expect some wait during peak times. The staff were super friendly and took the time to explain the cooking method, ingredients introduction as they learned it was our first time dining here. The staff’s English level is quite good so very appropriate for non-Japanese speakers (like our group). Highly recommend this restaurant - the beef cutlet was so tender and flavourful. Great unique dining experience!

Almost gave this place a miss due to the wait at dinner time (around 720pm). Got seated around 815pm. Pretty hungry by then but the food did not disappoint. Grill to whatever doneness and the meat still tastes moist and tender. Like what most reviews mentioned, it's worth the wait if you have the patience🤣

Found this place online and I enjoyed the food and experience here. You can cook to your experience and if you happen to prefer the meat well-done / crisp with char, the meat stays soft and juicy (how is this possible??). My wife prefers no red left on the meat and yet all bites were soft and juicy. I got the largest size and my wife got the smallest, I love the sauce they come with and the sides as well. There was a staff member who speaks English as well to explain how to eat there. Small restaurant space and be ready to wait if at peak.
