I love this place so much. Amazing food, the deli sandwiches/wraps and sides are so delicious. Customer service is wonderful too. Very friendly, food is always ready quickly, and consistently good quality food. They have everything you could want for a perfect beach day and walking distance from the beach. I come here twice a week minimum and it’s fantastic every time. I love this place.

Amazing Rubin Sandwich. Really fresh and thin sliced meat with a lot of flavor. Also staff were very kind and ever came outside to have me try some fresh made pickles with the sandwich. Definitely recommend! I am coming back and trying their other sandwiches and wraps

Went to buy a sandwich last week, the sandwich had cold cut meat that was beyond disgusting i couldn’t finish it. Im pretty sure it was rotten and then when i got in the car i had to vomit. I guess I should have known since the place looked dirty and disheveled but I ignored my better judgment. The staff was also very rude and don’t recommend this place to anyone. Martha’s across the street is delicious and so much better on every level.

Super cute and convenient place! Lots to offer, great range of products. Kind and helpful staff. Very convenient for people walking on the beach or in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

A wonderful little cornershop with a great selection. The sandwich I had was amazing! This place had small town vibes, the owner behind the counter knew customers coming in, she has the most friendly vibe. I wish I lived closer I would visit everyday.

While I’m not from here, not even California, I frequent the Green Store when I visit because it is hands down the most quintessential place to go! I love coming in to incredibly friendly people, amazing choices, and always leaving with a reason to come back. The kindness of everyone who works here is contagious!

Used to take my kids there for years but I feel the vibe has changed, maybe different ownership. Not as friendly as it used to be and overpriced.

We spotted this little gem in Hermosa one evening while out to dinner nearby and decided it was a must-try... My husband went back a couple of days later and ordered sandwiches for lunch. He built his own and ordered me the Turkey Havarti with no red peppers and added avocado. It was expensive, but clearly quality (Boars Head) and so delicious! I ate the whole thing and was very satisfied. He loved his also. Service was speedy... We will absolutely return when back in the area!

Love this place! It's in a prime location right next to the beach. The folks who work there are super friendly. They have delicious sandwiches and sides to go with them. We haven't tried them all yet, but we've been a few times and haven't had one we didn't like yet! My wife and I also stopped by for cups of coffee before a morning dog walk by the beach recently. They have pretty good coffee! I take mine black and I enjoyed the flavor. I prefer their coffee over most of the other spots near the pier that have coffee. Definitely would recommend stopping by in the morning and/or near lunch time!

The veg wrap was 6!! As was the friendly service. Clean, quick & easy at a fair price

Really nice workers. Dont know if we got it on a bad day, but this was the most pathetic Italian sandwich I've ever seen in my life. Might have been 2 slices of meat. I will say it was quite tasty, but $16 for this is preposterous.

This sandwich shop/mini bodega is turning out fresh sandwiches and great customer service! I was greeted with a warm smile and "hello" the second I walked in and had no wait time to order. I opted for the "build your own" sandwich option and loved the concept to fully customize your sando. I chose oven roasted turkey w swiss on a baguette w avocado and all the fixings I wanted. The proportions were great and perfectly balanced, the baguette was delicious, and everything was so fresh! Total wait time to build the sandwich was probably 3 - 4 minutes, not bad at all! There are plenty of drink options and snacks here too, and the parking could not have been easier. Can't wait to come back and try more from this incredible spot!

The prices here are out of control. They benefit from the location and there not being any good alternatives nearby for groceries. There are some nearby better places for coffee or coffeeshop-like items The quality of what you receive does not justify these prices. I will not buy anything here ever again. I have been disappointed too many times. Service has also been sketchy. One time there was no one to help me check out. They also just aren't welcoming.

The best sandwich I've ever had! The service was great, and the sammy was ready within minutes. Great little shop with a nice outdoor seating. I tried the reuben which was good, but the ROAST BEEF SANDWHICH was amazing!

My wife and I have been to The Green Store on multiple occasions after a bike ride. Love getting their wraps (tried quite a few) to go or to eat there (nice view of the ocean too). The vegetarian wrap is a big fav of my wife. Staff is friendly, and they have a lot of nice items to get besides just the deli items. Local neighbors are lucky to have this place in walking distance!

This store is a hermosa gem. The deli sandwich's and wraps always are nothing less than amazing. The Jackson is one of my favorites and the bread is perfection. The owner works so hard and makes all feel welcome.

Great Take out place .. including Good Breakfast menu plus many Rollups ,sandwiches, side dishes. Homemade Hummus is Excellent! Small area for outside eating. Very clean inside and out. Would Highly Recommend!

Love this place! Great food in a really nice location and street parking in front. They have good sandwiches and lots of drinks to choose from. Great ambiance also and you can watch the sunset!

I'm surprised by some of the reviews for this store/deli spot - my experience was really positive! I met my husband for a quick lunch and we shared a tuna melt and a BLT with chicken salad wrap. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I had showed up a little late so my husband went to order me an iced latte and the owner told us not to worry about paying until we were done enjoying our food. I always find it refreshing and surprising when an owner feels comfortable and trusting enough of us to take our time on payment. The sun was out, there's a nice little spot outside to enjoy your meal and you're literally steps from the beach. It's kind of idyllic and I would be more than happy to go back! One star taken off because it was rather expensive (we ordered 2 sandwiches and a container of chicken salad for our son and it was ~$41, but we're living in the world of inflation so I think it's more a reflection of the cost of everything these days, not high prices for no reason).

what a comforting place ! the food is matched by the warmth of Lana & her awesome team ! we are not locals and had never been to the beach before, thought we'd stop in for a bite and found this cute sandwich shop with the best goodies, including dark chocolate KitKat oh my God! all kinds of cute things all over the store you could spend time just checking out all the cute stuff and the sandwiches are divine, the care that Lana puts into this place is exceptional, and it shows in every part of this comforting space! Thank you so much, Lana and thank you to the green team!

Not my first time nor will be my last. It's an older house look to it from the outside but the inside is a bunch of happy employees and yummy food and drinks. You can grab and go anything and chill beachside. I ordered ahead of time and our food was waiting for us, grabbed some bottled waters and hit the beach. Always a pleasant experience and I highly suggest anyone looking for a bite and even a to go cocktail this is your spot in Hermosa beach. Not to mention it's a block barely from the sand!

Wow this woman is rude. Seemed super put off that we had the audacity to put in an order for sandwiches as a walk in and didn't order them online. First of all we just happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to get sandwiches for our Mother's Day picnic. We're talking 5 sandwiches and we weren't even in a rush. She sighed and said it was going to be awhile. I asked if she had an estimate....no problem...will just help us gauge how far to walk. Apparently that really irritated her. Regardless probably won't ever come here again since it's clear our business isn't wanted as we made things difficult for her?!

A deli with GLUTEN FREE BREAD! I can never get sandwiches because of the bread and it's rare to find GF friendly places. I got the ham sandwich with feta cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Mayo and Dijon. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will be back if I'm around this area.

Love this little community store! The owner is so kind and helpful and everyone who works there is always so nice. Great wraps and sandwiches for beach days and snacks for whenever you have any type of craving. So grateful for this spot in my community!

This place has ALWAYS been my go to store whenever I am in the area and need a quick bite or a refreshing beverage! Lana is the SWEETEST and always so welcoming. Her and her team will guarantee you a delicious meal!

The staff are very sweet! A bit busy and crowded on weekends, even during COVID. They're doing a great job trying to keep social distancing, but obviously they're too busy and can't control that Jimmy over there in chino shorts was walking around with no mask. Their sandwiches are delicious (and I'm not even a sandwich kinda person), so come early for more bread selection! I got some sort of chicken sandwich with sun dried tomatoes, and my friend got a tuna salad sandwich. Both were really good! Definitely will be back.

I was going a few years in and out of the green store. I got called a thief last to the end by an employee. It is essential to know that I paid my stuff last to the end. But I got another lesson. The employee said my dog had bitten someone. I was very impressed with the accusations. And as I tried to straighten it out with the owner, she was probably on vacation. A lie goes a long way for an employee. My dog was all time by the store and had not bitten anyone. A guy outside kicked my dog in the side and went quickly into the green store. I could not go after him, but the result of the bullying was apparent. I am not sure how people are, but my favorite is to know lying people go a long way. Do not go there if you want a coffee or anything else. Don't let you talk to it. You can pay for it later. Just pay and go. I avoid this establishment for future reasons of accusations and foul mouth. Don t get used to it. Your crap is in the bucket here. What holds you back? I am not saying it is bad enough, but since the employee took over, the store lost my favorite to my food chain.

Big fan over here! They have one of the best sandwiches in the South Bay. I usually custom make mine but they have a wide selection to choose from. They're conveniently right next to the beach (recommend ordering online for a quick take out). They have amazing customer service & I always leave with a smile.

A quaint market in a quiet beach town. Easy, no fuss, with friendly service. The sammies never disappoint and they're always tasty. :)

This place is a South Bay institution! If you're at the beach and looking for a delicious bit to eat, tasty snack, or a cold drink....this is the spot to go. It's small but packs a mighty punch. The sandwiches are yummy, the selection is out of this world, and the staff is so incredibly warm and welcoming. Thanks for the birthday wishes! :)

We stopped in for sandwiches and coffee on Sunday morning and were very impressed! Food and service was great. It's nice to have such a lovely, high quality deli by the beach. I'm looking forward to making The Green Store a regular weekend stop.

This breaks my heart. I really like this place. But after paying close to 40$ for pancakes with no eggs or bacon or hash browns, just 3 pancakes with a lil butter and 1 tiny container of syrup..... Then a breakfast burrito that resembled the size of a sushi roll? Came with 1 tiny container of salsa, an OJ and a beer? Don't get me wrong both tasted good and the ppl that work there are really nice but c'mon. You can do better than that.

Breakfast here is so good and the staff are such welcoming friendly people. I highly recommend checking this place out and try their avocado toast or chipotle wrap!

The best little place in all of Hermosa Beach! I came here on a whim just for some coffee and received way more than I expected. The coffee was satisfying and warm. They had all the fixins I could ever need for coffee. The surprise cinnamon roll I got was toasted for me and hit the spot just right. The atmosphere is cozy, positive, and welcoming. The store is clean and stocked with high quality products--this is definitely NOT your usual corner store! I will never forget my interaction with Sadie, the young lady working there this morning. She was sweet enough to have a short conversation with me, was polite and professional at the same time. It's not often you meet a person at work who STAYS an actual person; most times people at work become zombie slave drones, but not here. Sadie doesn't stop being a person after she clocks in. A true kind soul, which is ultra rare in this world these days. If I lived in Hermosa Beach I would be a regular here, fuck Starbucks. This is the BEST place to get coffee, pastries and just about anything else for breakfast/brunch/lunch. PS They are open at 7 am every day, til 9 pm most days, til 8 pm Sunday & Monday. Thank you Green Store, and thank you Sadie for being so exceptional. The owners of the Green Store need to give Sadie a raise, a promotion, something! She is a gem!

Nice little local store with friendly people. Love the custom sandwiches, you can order online and pick up. Don't change the small and local feel!

Pretty pricy for what you get. Got Hawaiian chips, a canned guava drink, and a sandwich and all of that cost me 30 dollars. There was no prices on anything so I figured it would be pretty pricy but sheesh... sandwich wasn't anything special either, got a tuna sandwich and asked if I could add onions to it (the answer was no as it was just tuna and lettuce when I got it).

Had a delicious Jamaican Jerk sandwich today. All the ingredients were top quality. Meats and cheeses are exclusively Boar's Head. Ideal spot to grab and go sandwiches and drinks on your way to the beach!

I have cycled by this place many times. Disappointed on my first visit here. They had a 'B' from the Health Department, clerk did not say hello to me when I entered and I was the only one in the store, and my pet-peeve: Very few things have prices on them! How am I supposed to know what things cost? They could charge anything they want when you get up there. I would have to keep asking the clerk--what a pain in the A and waste of time. I just walked out and went elsewhere.

A little gem in our neighborhood. This is the place for a fresh Sammie for the beach or a nice drink. I love the low key vibe and fresh food.

As a new local to HB, I have only been to The Green Store twice, once years ago long before I knew I would live here, and this evening where I was blown away by Lana's hospitality, kindness, and generosity. Looking forward to going back and supporting this local gem for years to come and trying out their menu for myself Thank you Lana.

Lana is the best. We love coming by the greenstore on Hermosa Avenue. She's so nice and we just love the food and beverages. They have the small cokes w cane sugar.

I've lost count of how many times we've visited this store and we will continue to come by! The owner of the store is so nice and friendly, she's so welcoming it makes us want to stop by and just say hi! And their sandwiches are delicious! Their turkey havarti, chicken prosciutto, and grilled cheese are favorites in my family and we totally recommend! The view is also a great addition to enjoying these sandwiches.

Our favorite is the Reuben Panini. It was delicious! I loved the Italian sub as well. We also had the Chicken/arugula and capresi melt. All were very good. Everyone was very friendly and personable. location was convenient and they have a few outdoor tables to sit at. Prices are as expected for Hermosa Beach. We have frequented this deli many times.

Never a bad sandwich. The chicken salad was great. Kids love all the candy available also. Very convenient to the beach and neighborhood when staying in hermosa. A really cool home grown store with great hospitality. Keep it up.

Hands down the BEST sandwich shop. The manager, and I believe she is the owner since she's always there, but she is the sweetest human being and genuinely cares about her business and each and everyone that comes into the store. I've been here plenty of times and it never disappoints and she always makes sure to have gf bread since I have celiac. (* the jackson club is the best!*) Please support this business as they are following COVID rules and run an impeccable and friendly one stop shop right at the beach! 20 stars!!

One of the best near-beach convenience stores in all of Southern California. Upscale ambiance with a fresh/healthy vibe, yet serves evertyhing you need for a day at the beach (100 yards away). Their deli setup is a smaller version of NYC's famed countertops and serves AMAZING fresh sandwiches - their Italian sub is always satisfying, but their tuna melt is one of the best hot sandwiches I've ever had. Also an extensive selection of exotic and standard cold drinks, including innovative cold brews. A must-stop location when down in South Bay, no matter the season!

The Apothio 11:1 hemp extract by the cash register has really helped my sleep and anxiety during COVID. LIFESAVER!!! Lana is a local hero! She keeps the shop open 7 days a week so that the community has easy access to delicious healthy food, awesome selection of alcoholic beverages (it's fun to pick up one of each juneshine and do samplings with the fam). Incredible sandwiches, and probably the best selection of novel health beverages in the south bay. It's easy to miss the selection of health shots, but I but a ginger shot and a ShroomShot with Lions Mane every day to keep my gut and brain in check. I like to stop in before a nice long walk on the promenade of chill on the beach. Awesome location for that.

Amazing!!! BEST Deli in town! I stumbled upon this shop and immediately felt like family! Upon walking in, the owner, Lana, greeted me kindly and struck up a conversation about how my day was going. I ordered a sandwich that had delectable flavors out of this world! This shop is a refreshing testament that authentic, genuine business owners still exist!
