"Where Grand Chic Meets Retro Romance Avoid the crowds of the Waterfront, and other busy tourist hangouts, and enjoy the beach, ocean vista and ships sailing into Cape Town Harbour from Grand Café & Beach at Granger Bay, Cape Town. Relaxed yet central with enjoyable food for the whole family, a great place to chill out and enjoy a glass of Cape wine, delicious deep-fried prawns and wonderful pizzas. Added attractions include great cocktails, comfy loungers and a Gallery Shop of casual beachwear. A unique venue for lunch, early-dining with great sunsets, or an intimate dinner for two, convenient to city and waterfront hotels. You’ll forget you’re in a city!"

Amazing restaurant with gorgeous views and atmosphere. Lots of parking available and super chilled vibe with music and lounging areas as well as dining setup. Both indoor and outdoor swating available. The view and beach vibes are awesome ... feel like you are at the beach! Sunset is breathtaking 😍 ✨️ Will definitely visit again 👌🏽

We had Raj as our waiter, best waiter in the whole world, the views were exceptional, we were not restricted, the food and drinks were amazing and affordable 🌸

The oysters were minute. They were clearly frozen oysters. The food is ridiculously expensive. The cocktails were very watery. Overall it’s an overhyped place. The cake was the most redeeming food.

So a friend of mine organised a get together a few weeks back with a number of different people we were a total of eight people. We ordered numerous different kinds of tapas the food was really delicious. My only concern is that the food came out at different rates my friend who organised the get together had ordered a burger burger never came they had to start making it after everybody else started eating. I’m myself ordered the calamari starters as well as the muscles . When the calamari came it did not have tartar-sauce I had asked the way immediately to bring it it took him another 15 minutes. By which time the calamari was cold. I myself had to walk to the kitchen and ask a person for the sauce. I also know it was very hard to get the waiter to come to us consistently we had to find him regularly. The place was not very full that night. In the past id been to the grand and loved the experience. The atmosphere is great although the place was empty considering we went in May that might be understandable. I think the only thing that has going for a moment is great pictures. It truly saddens me that is no longer shining in his former glory.

Grand Africa Cafe & Beach is a 10/10 experience if you are visiting Cape Town. The photos do not do it justice as to how cool and amazing the restaurant is. Seating options are endless all of them with a great sea view,. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is pure happiness. You can easily spend the day here.

We booked for an early dinner. Were shown to a table in the Conservatory Area with a great view of the beach. We ordered water and drinks which delivered promptly. We both ordered mains with a Greek salad side. My wife's pasta dish was 'enormous' and I order a pizza with toppings not on the menu but the waiter asked the kitchen and they obliged. Shout out to our waiter Cameron who was excellent 5*
