"When: Daily, 4-7pm The Deal: $5 Beers, Wines, and Sakes, $9 Cocktails, $25 Scorpion Bowls, And $7 Small Plates One of the most crowded Center City bars is hidden down an alley. During Happy Hour, the covered colorful patio is full of people drinking watermelon rum scorpion bowls and splitting plates of kung pao chicken wings and crab rangoon.  " - candis mclean

"When you want your Summer Friday to last until Saturday, head straight from your office to Graffiti Bar. The small-ish bar hidden in the alley behind Sampan turns from casual Happy Hour spot to full-on party when the scorpion bowl drinks start coming out. You can also order small bites like kung pao chicken wings and edamame dumplings from the Sampan kitchen, but you’re probably not here to do much eating - at least not on a Friday night when the tables are already covered with a bunch of giant punch bowls." - sydney mcelwee

"Yes, there is a lot of graffiti on the walls of Graffiti Bar, a small bar hidden behind Sampan in Midtown Village. There are also a few TVs (perfect for watching Saturday afternoon Phillies games in the summer), large format scorpion bowl drinks, and a retractable roof that means you don’t have to leave just because it starts raining. You can also order small bites like kung pao chicken wings and edamame dumplings from the Sampan kitchen." - Candis R. McLean

"Your mom may have taught you to avoid long, dark alleyways, but scout’s honor, this one leads somewhere safe (though, maybe less so for your liver). Just off Midtown Village’s bustling 13th Street, Graffiti Bar sits around back from Sampan, the much-lauded Asian restaurant from restaurateur Michael Schulson. (Bonus: the restaurant, with its kung pao chicken wings and edamame dumplings, also services the bar). Opening onto a 30-seat open-air patio, there's also a three-story-high mural commissioned by local artist Ali M Williams serving as a backdrop; the bartop and two rectangular communal tables are likewise decorated with graffiti. Drink choices consist largely of Asian-inspired revamps of the classics, like the Ming Mule (vodka, lychee, mint, and ginger) and the Hashi Old Fashioned (Applejack rum, bourbon, and smoked caramel), though we're also big fans of the sharing-sized (read: large) Scorpion Bowls with a tequila, vodka, or whiskey base." - Katie James Watkinson

Graffiti Bar is a great spot for happy hour with friends! The vibe is super cool and the space feels cozy yet lively. Their tequila and vodka fishbowls are a must-try — perfect for sharing with 2-3 friends to kick off the night. The Pan-Asian food is delicious, and everything pairs perfectly with their creative cocktails. Definitely a go-to spot for drinks, good food, and a chill atmosphere!

We just stopped here for drinks after dinner and we really enjoyed this bar! It had a nice atmosphere and the bar tenders were friendly and attentive. The drinks on their menu were all good and just what we were looking for in the moment. The entrance to the bar part is down an alleyway so don’t be shy to walk down there, you’ll find some nice art along the way. The prices were pretty average for drinks.

Such a fun bar! Get there early to get a seat and enjoy a great happy hour! Favorites: Beef Satay and Chicken wings! And the mini ice cream cones are perfect. Great prices, great food, great vibes!

Visited here on a beautiful day and the vibes were sooo good! Was able to find a seat at an outdoor table relatively easily, and ordered a drink plus several food items. My favorite being the crab rangoons and chicken bao buns. Did not have a bad bite here. Will definitely come back to try more food! Service was also very quick and attentive.

A friend told me about this bar so when my husband and I visited Philly this past weekend, we decided to drop by. We came during happy hour and were lucky we didn’t have to wait too long for seats to become available. We only got drinks but they were good and very reasonably priced. We saw people next to us order food from their happy hour menu and they looked good, smelled good, and seemed like a decent amount of food for the price! Ambiance is also very cute. Only complaint is that no server came to us and we had to keep going to the bar to order. I’d come back next time we are in Philly to try their food though.

*Overall Rating Below* I am glad to say we stumbled across this gem by complete accident. There was a restaurant a couple doors down that wouldn’t seat 4 of us at the bar that was open for just one drink. I’m glad that was the case because a few blocks up was a mysterious alley that led to a super hip and poppin bar. Let’s just say that all the food that came out was some of the best food I’ve had the pleasure of eating. I think at one point a year trickled down my cheek. Yes that’s how good it was. If you love Lo mein, some of the best noodles I’ve ever had. Crab Rangoon was awesome with (in my opinion) the perfect ratio of cream cheese. The chicken boa buns are a must have. I REPEAT, A MUST HAVE! The bar was super packed and tight spaced and yet with all the hectic mess going on our server was not phased for one second. Honestly some of the best service I’ve ever had. I had a specialty old fashioned forgot the name but made beautifully. You have to be careful of places that batch their old fashioned which get me livid, but no not this place they made it perfect. I’m telling you right now this place is a must. A secret gem, which probably ain’t so secret anymore, but none the less, you will not regret this place. Few notes to take into consideration. It is first come first serve, you should get there earlier in the day around opening time if you want to get a seat. They have one long table and a bar, that’s it. Order from the menu and you should be fine it gets jammed up a bit but it’s worth it. My overall score for this spot is a 9.2. Keep up the amazing job guys. Great restaurant/bar, awesome staff and great vibes. Til next time, Osca Lobsta Out!

Bae chicka bao wow 😯🥰 Trips to Philly and bar hopping in center city are not complete without a trip to Graffiti Bar, the tiny, edgy, colorful bar behind Sampan 🍱🍣 🖌🎨 Any time we’re in center city Philly, we try and get seats at Graffiti Bar, but we’re usually unsuccessful because they’re either closed for renovations or full. We still like to pop our heads in though in hopes we might get lucky 🍀👀 Graffiti Bar is worth the rejection and for that we’re giving them 5/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Find a more detailed review below 👇🏾 Ambiance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 Stars) We came here early on a Friday for happy hour. We were there at around 4 pm as happy hour was starting and so, we were the first few people there, which was nice because we were able to get seats and spread out. By the time we left, two hours later, there were no seats and people were standing and crafting their own seats and tables. Graffiti bar is very small (holds about 30 people) making it feel intimate, cozy and exclusive. But we get claustrophobic walking down the tiny alleyway leading into the bar 😳 The walls are filled with graffiti and murals and the music and TVs are kept low, making it vibrant, cool, a great place to catch up with friends and an all around good time. It’s outdoors in a covered patio, which is great for Philly’s unpredictable weather 😅 Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 Stars) The food and drinks came out fast. We waited no more than 5 minutes for each of the items we ordered. The staff was attentive and hospitable, quickly clearing out empty plates and glasses to make room for more people 👏🏾👍🏾 Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 Stars) For food, we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken Wings, the Kobe Sliders, and the Pork Baos. The chicken wings were crispy and sweet and came with 6 wings, perfect for sharing or devouring on your own. The order of Kobe sliders brought two sliders, which were a nice size for sliders, cheesy and juicy. The bao buns came with two buns, which were fluffy, sweet, savory and the pork belly was nice and tender 🍔🍗 For drinks, we ordered the Tequila Scorpion Bowl to share and the Thai Punch, Summer in Okinawa, and Hashi Old Fashioned individually. The Scorpion Bowl was essentially a GIANT margarita, which we loved. The Summer in Okinawa was on the sweeter side, great for those who like sweeter cocktails. The Hashi Old Fashioned is a good option for those who enjoy old fashions and the Thai Punch was yummy and refreshing 🤤🍹🍸 Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 Stars) We were there for happy hour and only ordered off of the happy hour food and drinks menu. We spent $6 per small plate/side and $9 a cocktail (except for the scorpion bowl which was $25 each). We spent about $70 + tax and tip, making it roughly $40 per person. It was a little pricey for happy hour but the food was delicious and filling and the drinks were well made and boozy, making it worth it in our opinion 🙌🏾💰

Yelp
Graffiti Bar in Philadelphia is an absolute must for anyone visiting the city. The star of the show? The edamame dumplings--delicate, creamy, and so delicious. I've had them about 20 times, and yes, it's completely fine to be this obsessed. Tucked away at the end of a graffitied walkway, this hidden spot has more than just amazing food. The ambiance is unmatched, very urban with a cozy, intimate setting. It's the perfect spot to sip a cocktail and take in the unique aesthetic.

Yelp
This bar has ambience--warm, cozy, and absolutely perfect for the winter season. It's noticeably inviting and comfortable than in years past, making it a standout spot for cold nights. Downeast winter blend cider is a total game changer. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink and soaking in the atmosphere!

Yelp
Happy hour here is pretty decent. They had both drink, food, appetizers. The pizza on the happy hour def can feed two if it's two light eaters. It's pretty spacious and obviously a second floor with bright light is always nice. Super open concept with very nice lighting. The wait staff made sure me and my friends were taken care off and made sure to check in often enough for drink orders and snacks. It's large enough space that it doesn't feel too crowded and I was still able to get my drinks in a very reasonable time.Prob more a beer spot than a cocktail spot.

Jordyn K.

Yelp
Best happy hour in the city? 100% hands down. The drink specials are great but the food specials are better! The banh mi is my favorite, and so is the kimchi fried rice (ate too quick to snap a pic). It's my favorite go to for food and drinks without a doubt.

Madison P.

Yelp
Good drinks, good food (from sampan), and good ambiance. The food comes relatively quick but the drinks take a bit if there's a lot of people at the bar. The Kantoi road drink is my favorite, it's basically just a spicy margarita. Their drink special of the day however....yeah i'd pass on that. It was an iced tea type of drink but lowkey tasted like sewer water and wasn't worth the $5 that it was. I'd just stick with the house wine if I was drinking on a budget there The place gets crowded pretty early so if you want a seat I suggest getting there ahead of the happy hour crowd. Everything else is really good though and I'll definitely be coming back!

Christian T.

Yelp
Almost 4 stars just because this was a little hard to find (went into Sampan first ) Came for happy hour on a Saturday. Very busy but managed to find a great corner spot at the bar for the four of us. Loud music Crab Rangoon was a small portion, but the best I've ever had. Scorpion Bowl was well worth the $25, but sadly was not in a bowl (more like a Vase).

Jim M.

Yelp
Every thing was great. From craft cocktails to food. Hidden gem off the beaten path

Yelp
The entrance of Graffiti Bar is tucked away in a little alleyway, but don't let the unassuming entrance fool you. This is one of my favorite bar spots in Philly! Upon entering, you're transported into a small, speakeasy style bar with an excellent drink selection and great company. It's connected to Sampan, but seems entirely separate from that experience. Josh, one of the bartenders was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about drinks and when I wasn't sure what drink to order, he suggested one that I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely order again! The company at graffiti is also awesome and we had a great end to our night out. Will definitely be returning!

Brian T.

Yelp
This is a semi hidden popular backyard bar. The service started scary cause I was an outsider who didn't know the proper etiquette of Philly bars. Once I had a drink though, Amanda the bartender was amazing. Ran into two girls who also were running solo and learned some new connections and Amanda made all of our nights. Went through some of the happy hour food menu, the potstickers, albeit overpriced iny eye, we're still very delicious. The satay and brussel sprout were great. The sliders, I can def say it's a standard slider, no specials. The drinks and Amanda's attitude were amazing. I appreciated the service for an outsider and hope all the locals and visitors come support.

Yelp
One of my favorite bars I've been to recently! I split a scorpion bowl with a friend and it was delicious and such a bargain during happy hour! I got another drink after that was equally as delicious. The food was also incredible as we got bao buns, sliders, fried rice, and the brussel sprouts. It's a beautiful little space with great light, AC, and a very well decorated and functional layout. We will be back!

Sema T.

Yelp
We had a great time in the outdoor bar area behind graffiti bar, after we braved the alleyway. The space is well decorated and the bar provides a lot of space for an average night. On Friday it was a little too crowded so you'll want to play that by ear, but we still found places to stand and enjoy our drinks. The beers are as described - crisp, sunshine-y, etc. and the cocktails are beautifully presented, and my friends said they were quite tasty. We did not try any of the food, but inside, the restaurant has a great vibe and seems chic. When I'm back in the city, I'll definitely head back.

Yelp
Legit bar, great selections of beers and spirits. They serve real drinks with the proper amount of real booze for a reasonable price. Was a low light place TV's were visible...the food looked delicious! Was hard to figure out the entrance... maybe by design!? Respectfully, Bryan Oklahoma City

Yelp
Food 10/10 Great happy hour for the value and the food was quite killer too. We ordered the tequila scorpion bowl, which was a huge jug, probably had 5 or 6 shots in there, for the two of us. It destroyed us in a good way. They came out with some extra kimchi fried rice, so we gladly accepted it, although I wouldn't recommend ordering it because it tasted too watery. The edamame dumplings were spectacular, and the broccoli were quite good as well. The pork buns were decent, edible, but not the highlight of the menu. Atmosphere 8/10 Honestly love the vibes of this hidden area a lot more than the inside of Sampan, as there was sunlight streaming through the ceiling, a very high ceiling at that. The bar area was very clean, plenty of bar space, felt a lot more lively than the inside seating area. Had some air conditioning so it wasn't steamy hot despite having a clear roof. Service 9/10 Very friendly bartender, they knew their locals, and everything came up very timely.

Jessica A.

Yelp
This is a cute and easy bar to stop by with a friend or two. The space is really small but the vibes are nice. It's the same building, behind Sampan. We came here when waiting for a dinner spot.

Efraim S.

Yelp
Very solid happy hour plus a great vibe. Way above average food from sampan . A definite must for happy hour

Cora A.

Yelp
I went during happy hour. Great prices and the food is delicious! Big servings . I enjoyed the ambiance. The kimchi rice is a MUST HAVE!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place hasn't changed a bit from when I used to come year in the late 2010s. It's just a cool place to grab a drink and hang out for a bit. The food is very good as well if you are craving a snack. Whenever I have come here, the duration of our stay is usually limited because it gets extremely crowded and a bit cold in the winter. Last night was no different. We got lucky and managed to snag a spot in the middle of that long table to park ourselves and enjoy our one round (usually the limit) of drinks. The population density can be on the denser side meaning I usually have to scream to be heard and there was definitely a period of time where adjacent patrons were pushing up against us. It's just that kind of place. I didn't have food this time around but I certainly noticed the mouth watering smells coming from whatever was being served. My friend noted, "that's the kimchi" lmao. We had just come from a multi course meal but I would be a liar if I didn't admit I considered, albeit very briefly, consuming whatever that delicious shit was.

Gabriella W.

Yelp
Graffiti bar has been home to one of my favorite happy hours for a long time. From the minute you arrive, you're greeted by one of the many friendly security staff members working at the entrance. After the construction done during the pandemic, the space feels bigger and looks great! Lately, I have heard that the food items from the kitchen at Graffiti and Sampan have not been up to par. I'm happy to report that during my visit, everything I ordered was as delicious as expected. I'm addicted to the Korean BBQ Beef Satay, so we ordered a few of those. The kimchi fried rice (with the egg mixed in!!!) is another menu favorite of mine so we ordered that too. We were easily able to grab two seats at the bar. The bartenders were prompt with serving us water and providing menus. They were very attentive despite it being very busy. Our food came out quickly, which was much appreciated because we were hungry! I'm glad that Graffiti Bar has maintained it's spot on my list for favorite happy hour spots in Philly!

Brittany C.

Yelp
I'll certainly be back. Came on the strength of a recommendation and from the food and service, I'm happy to support this establishment. Bartender (hate I didn't catch their name, short blonde haircut) was AMAZING as she was patient with me as a party of 1.

Jada T.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best Happy Hour experiences I've ever had. Came to visit this spot while I was visiting that came highly recommended by my brother who frequents the spot. Got there just before Happy Hour started at 4 which is key because it fills up quickly. We got prime seating at the end of the bar and were handed menus right away. I trusted his recommendations and ordered the Beef Satay, Spring Rolls and Chicken Bao buns. Everything was fantastic!! Cooked very well and came out fast and hot. The Beef melted in my mouth as was so full of flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and hot and the Bao buns were soft. I also tried some of the Korean style wings and they were amazing. I ordered a few different drinks and every one was just great!!! I'll be thinking about this spot for weeks. It's such a cool hang out spot for Happy Hour with a diverse crowd. It's in the back of Sampan restaurant and they share a kitchen and bathroom but it was totally fine. The staff was great and all of the items are priced fairly. I will definitely make a special trip back to this spot next time I'm in Philly!

Komal R.

Yelp
Love how it is hidden behind an alley - almost like a speakeasy. If you haven't tried their Ming Mule, you are missing out!

Rebecca K.

Yelp
Visited Graffiti Bar earlier in the spring with a friend for happy hour! I had heard good things about this somewhat "secret" bar right behind Sampan, so I was excited to try it out. The spot definitely is secretive - there is a small alleyway right next to Sampan that you walk down to get back to the outdoor bar / lounge space. It was probably the first actually nice day of spring when we visited, so it was pretty crowded for happy hour. All the tables / seating is on a first-come basis, so it was a tough to find a spot, but we snagged some counter space near the bar where we could stand and hang out, so it worked out well. Even though it's a decent sized space, it was incredibly loud there, so it was a little hard to hold conversation and hard to hear the bartender. Despite it being a little crowded and loud, the vibe was pretty cool and it did feel like you were in an exclusive location! The menu at Graffiti Bar mirrors the HH menu at Sampan, which is cool. Their deals are excellent for happy hour, so we were really glad we could take advantage - I love a happy hour that goes until 7PM, so thank you for providing that! We both snagged their happy hour special cocktail, which featured gin, mint, and watermelon. For the first warm day of the season, it was the perfect refreshing post-work drink! And at just $5, you really can't beat it. For food, we shared a few small plates, including the duck samosa, the crispy brussel sprouts, and the kobe sliders. The brussel sprouts were the star of the show - the hint of spice was just right, and the crispy-ness was unlike anything I could ever capture myself. The sliders were OK - the bun was tastier than most, but the flavors didn't hit any differently than other regular sliders I've had. The samosas were a nice option, and we enjoyed the tamarind flavor and the accompanying yogurt sauce. Sharing these plates was actually a good amount of food and we left decently full! The prices for plates range from $6-7, so we also left without breaking our wallets. Overall, we really enjoyed our happy hour at Graffiti Bar! The spot is really cool and feels quite secluded for being right in center city. It definitely can get crowded, especially with the seat-yourself concept, so I would encourage you to get their on the earlier side of HH if possible (although I appreciate the 7PM end of the good deals). Definitely don't sleep on their awesome cocktail and food deals - certainly entertain the brussel sprouts and consider getting their specialty cocktail for just $5 a pop. Hoping to make it back to Graffiti Bar with my husband and other friends in the near future! Thanks for a perfect spring evening, Graffiti Bar!!

Chengru L.

Yelp
I found this place on Instagram and I'm so glad we came here. It's kind of a "secret" bar since you have to go down this alleyway. We came here for happy hour so it was pretty packed. We were still able to snag seats. We got the scorpion bowl and since it was just two people drinking it, we got pretty drunk. It's a super fun drink and you should definitely try it while you're here. They put a lot of alcohol in it so it's worth it. We also got some apps but they were just ok. They were small and too salty.

Yi Z.

Yelp
Very nice little place. I couldn't find the entrance first, but the inside is really nice. A great place to hangout for cocktails and light creative cuisine.

Marcelle M.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon, the outdoor bar is rather small and divey, felt like a college bar. Our bartender was extremely rude as after I paid for the bill and gave a market rate tip he made a concerning comment by saying "wow you might as well have not given a tip" it was definitely off putting and likely would not return. The bowls are $25 per bowl and are extremely icy I was getting a brain freeze before any buzz

Nico L.

Yelp
Food: was very good. Good for tapas style and something small to eat while drinking. A bit pricey, but what can you expect from Center City. Ambiance: amazing! Really like the vibes here. Service: very nice bartender. Wish there were more of them because they were definitely swamped with orders. I would definitely go back soon.

Korinne D.

Yelp
Possibly the best Happy Hour in the city! Great place to go with friends, enjoy cheap, but delicious food and drinks, and meet great people. It is loud, but who cares when the food is delicious and the service is great. Add to your list! I recommend getting there as soon as it opens now that spring has sprung!

Fatimah M.

Yelp
I struggle with what rating to give Graffiti. It's an extension of Sampan (and Double Knot), but without the ambiance. You travel down a tight alleyway - one at a time, just to sometimes find an overly packed little outdoor area. If it isn't full, it's the perfect little outdoor space with the delicious bites from sampan. If it's full, just leave. It's outdoors, but it'll feel claustrophobic just the same.

Grace K.

Yelp
I went here with a friend to grab drinks on a Saturday night. The inside atmosphere felt very chill and relaxed. It's the type of place with low lighting, LED decor lighting on the wall, and candles lit on the tables (real candles). My friend and I were sat at a high top right next to the open kitchen. Our server was lovely and attentive. My friend ordered an Old Fashion and I had the Thai Punch. We both enjoyed our drinks. Our server made sure that my friend's drink didn't have any citrus (allergies). My friend ordered the Lo Mein and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the duck samosas and I found them to be tasty. Sauces completed the samosa well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The inside felt clean and wasn't too loud. Very easy to have a conversation over good drinks and food. The bathrooms were clean, although they had random movie quotes playing which made my friend and I laugh. Only critique was it was a little pricey, but the things we ordered were of quality so definitely worth making a trip.

Anandita S.

Yelp
We were bar hopping! We walked in without a reservation and the accommodated us and we enjoyed 4 drinks and some appetizers. They were delicious appetizers for us vegetarians. The taco was our least favorite. Way too eat for a appetizers.

Andrew H.

Yelp
I came here and ordered the watermelon vodka fishbowl! It was actually quite a nice drink and wasn't too strong. It was well portioned for 4 people and would like to come again to get it. The vibes of this bar are quite nice - the decorations go well with an outdoor urban aesthetic - and it's a good place to spend some post-meal drinks. My one caveat is that the place is quite small and ended up being quite packed when we went; I've tried to go a few times before that and have been turned away because the bar was overcrowded or hosting a private event. But if there's space, I think it's a good choice!

Katerina V.

Yelp
It's a really fun concept to take friends from out of town to. But I definitely wouldn't come outside of happy hour, prices are quite steep for what you're getting. The food is good but nothing exceptional. Service was great and we were always attended to when needed.

Jody S.

Yelp
This is definitely the top 5 happy hour spots in Philadelphia. I've gone rain and shine and still enjoyed my time. Please expect a very large crowd during happy hour and consider yourself lucky if you can find a table and seat during your happy hour experience (the earlier you arrive the better). Happy hours are Monday - Sunday (win)! In order to enter you have to walk down a very narrow walkway so hopefully you are not claustrophobic or a get caught in a bottleneck on your way in or out. The happy hour menu has so many good and tasty options. Everything on the menu is soo good! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And you won't be disappointed with the happy hour drinks either. The food and drinks are priced right. With the right price and tasty option provides the ultimate experience. I'm a fan!

Will W.

Yelp
Graffiti Bar is the bar behind the alley next to Sampan. Owned by the same company, Graffiti Bar has all of the typical snacks that you could get at Sampan, but in a cute outdoor area. The bar is definitely more of a 20s crew, with a boisterous atmosphere. I came here with some friends for their happy hour deals, which have cheap drinks and small dishes. The dishes are mostly less than $5, and they usually have a specialty cocktail along with many beers available. I highly recommend the pork bao buns - they are phenomenal!! The Bahn Mi sandwich is also really good, and is one of the larger dishes for sure. I also highly recommend trying the duck confit wings for something a little more out of the ordinary, yet yummy. The downsides of this bar are that it gets extremely crowded, especially when the weather is great, and there is limited seating. Service is pretty fast, but they ran out of utensils when we went! If it weren't for the lively atmosphere and great food, I wouldn't rate the bar so high. Overall, a pretty great experience but make suee to get here early during happy hour, cause after 6pm, you won't find a table.

Diana H.

Yelp
I want to give Graffiti Bar higher than 3 stars, but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I had my hopes up too high? I'm not sure. The bouncer at the entrance was an interesting guy and probably the best type of person for the "door". The mysterious little alleyway full of random writing helped to build the anticipation for the bar itself. The back wall of the bar area is vibrant and makes for a great photo opp, as I saw many people pose for one (it's me, I am people). The bar area itself is teeny tiny, and once it's crowded it's tough to maneuver. I ordered a Moscow mule. It's an easy drink to make and it's often my go-to at a new bar so I can determine what I'm getting myself into with the bartender and pricing. I wasn't asked the vodka I'd like used in the drink. My mule did not come in your standard copper mug, but rather a Collins glass. It also didn't taste much like a Moscow mule and wasn't strong at all. A waste of $11+tip. I'm not sure if I'll return. It's worth checking out if it's on your list!

Yelp
Graffiti bar was an awesome experience for happy hour. I've been hearing about it for a while and I'm mad I hadn't gone sooner!! It's first come first served and isn't huge. It feels partly outside but had heaters. Atmosphere was awesome but a little loud. You order at the bar which can be tough but staff are nice. Food came out so fast and we were shocked at how reasonably priced all the dishes were. The food was all amazing but my least favorite were the sliders (but who I went with, it was one of their favorites). I've been craving the Edamame dumplings, crab rangoons, and lo mein since I went. The wings were not too spicy and were so crispy. Will definitely be back again

Yelp
Great drinks good ambiance to hang with friends. Small and tight but worth going to hang out for their fishbowl drinks

Yelp
Always fun! If you've never been, you'll love your 1st trip down the "back alley. One of the bartenders, Chris, is especially great. The food is amaze...shared kitchen with Sampan. Check it out if you're on 13th. Won't be sorry!!

Yelp
This bar is shared with Sanpam -- if you ever can't get a table or seat at the bar at Sanpam, you can come to graffiti bar and get the same food/drinks. This place is walk-in only and seating is first come first served -- it was packed on a weekend around 4pm. The drinks are good, the outdoor vibe is a little rowdy. Definitely felt a little college hangout spot -- someone spilled all their drinks on us. I would come back for a drink and recommend if you're ok with limited seating/crowded bar vibe.

Yelp
I met up with a friend for happy hour. Hidden gem! Love love love this place! You walk down a narrow path with lots of wall art right next to sampan. It's packed! I mostly saw young professionals in groups of 4ish. You may not find a seat. But that's definitely for the cool, hipster vibe, great drinks and food, and the prices! We didn't have a seat so we camped by the standing bar. The waitress/bartender spotted us right away and handed out the happy hour menus and made great recommendations. My friend and I shared the pork banh mi and each got an order of kimchi rice. Food came out within 5-10 minutes! Wow! It was fast and warm. I recommend this place for a good, affordable meal after work with a friend or two!

Yelp
Worth the wait , the happy hour food is amazing. We waited in line fire about 10 min before open and we see why. Place gets packed quick. The food was amazing ! It felt like you were somewhere else after walking though the alley to get to the bar. The grass backdrop and graffiti background really set the mood ! Will be back very very soon !

Yelp
Wow, those who know me know that I give 5 stars very sparingly. But this place truly deserves it given the ambiance, service, food and price. This was my first time here based on good Yelp reviews. It is located behind the restuarant Sampan with clear sign that says Graffiti Bar. It is a cool alleyway that leads to the outdoor bar that is covered overhead so no need to worry about rain. Happy Hour is daily including weekends from 4-7 PM. Most food items are $5. Cocktail of the day and wines are $5. Speciality cocktails are $9. For food, I had the kimchee shrimp fried rice and banh mi. The fried rice was superb: there was generous portion of shrimp. The banh mi was a little bit disappointing...I feel like the bread was too dry and there was no dipping sauce. Tip: Come early at 4 PM so you get a seat at the bar or high top tables. It is a very small place and it gets crowded by 5 PM. I will definitely be a regular here for happy hour. I want to try the edemame dumplings and Korean beef satay.

Yelp
My favorite happy hour place in Philly! Not only are the drinks really cheap and good but the food is also cheap and so good!! The entrance alleyway here is easy to miss, so just look for a hanging sign pointing into a small alley on the left of sampan! Seating is first come first serve but everything moves pretty fast here so if there looks like no seats, just wait a bit and some seats will usually free up and you can claim them If you have 4+ people, would recommend getting one of their bowls to share for drinks! (~$25) and then getting a couple plates to share! You definitely have to get the crispy Brussel sprouts, edamame dumplings, banh mi, pork bao sliders, and if you want a little more, get the chicken wings and kimchi fried rice! All of it is very reasonably priced and good to share! A lot of the plates come with 4 items per order, so it's good to come with a group of 4 for an easy way to share dishes!

Yelp
Checked out graffiti bar this past Sunday. I love that they have happy hour EVERY day and until 7pm. We tried the Kantoi Road which is a spicy margarita and it was soooo good, I highly recommend. For food we tried the crab Rangoon, fried rice, and Brussels sprouts. All the food was really good. The only downside was service was super backed up to it took an insanely long time to get our last dish but the staff was super apologetic and took it off our bill and comped our drink. I def would recommend checking them out for HH. Cool outdoor hangout.

Yelp
Great atmosphere!!! Went for Happy Hour w the GF, they had plenty of options but the plating sizes were a little small (even for happy hour) Bartender was friendly drinks were strong!! Chairs have no back if that matters to you I'll be back!

Yelp
Bae chicka bao wow Trips to Philly and bar hopping in center city are not complete without a trip to Graffiti Bar, the tiny, edgy, colorful bar behind Sampan Any time we're in center city Philly, we try and get seats at Graffiti Bar, but we're usually unsuccessful because they're either closed for renovations or full. We still like to pop our heads in though in hopes we might get lucky Graffiti Bar is worth the rejection and for that we're giving them 5/5 Stars Find a more detailed review below Ambiance: (5/5 Stars) We came here early on a Friday for happy hour. But we get claustrophobic walking down the tiny alleyway leading into the bar The walls are filled with graffiti and murals and the music and TVs are kept low, making it vibrant, cool, a great place to catch up with friends and an all around good time. It's outdoors in a covered patio, which is great for Philly's unpredictable weather Service: (5/5 Stars) The food and drinks came out fast. We waited no more than 5 minutes for each of the items we ordered. The staff was attentive and hospitable, quickly clearing out empty plates and glasses to make room for more people Food: (5/5 Stars) For food, we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken Wings, the Kobe Sliders, and the Pork Baos. The chicken wings were crispy and sweet and came with 6 wings, perfect for sharing or devouring on your own. The order of Kobe sliders brought two sliders, which were a nice size for sliders, cheesy and juicy. The bao buns came with two buns, which were fluffy, sweet, savory and the pork belly was nice and tender For drinks, we ordered the Tequila Scorpion Bowl to share and the Thai Punch, Summer in Okinawa, and Hashi Old Fashioned individually. The Scorpion Bowl was essentially a GIANT margarita, which we loved. The Summer in Okinawa was on the sweeter side, great for those who like sweeter cocktails. The Hashi Old Fashioned is a good option for those who enjoy old fashions and the Thai Punch was yummy and refreshing Price: (5/5 Stars) We were there for happy hour and only ordered off of the happy hour food and drinks menu. We spent $6 per small plate/side and $9 a cocktail (except for the scorpion bowl which was $25 each). We spent about $70 + tax and tip, making it roughly $40 per person. It was a little pricey for happy hour but the food was delicious and filling and the drinks were well made and boozy, making it worth it in our opinion
