"The constantly busy Go Benz has been serving popular dishes, including their speciality pork with peppery broth and rolled rice noodles, for over 20 years – and it’s easy to see why it’s quite such a popular spot. Many of the dishes often sell out, like the fragrant dry boiled rice with crispy pork and tender pork offal. Also well worth ordering is the crispy pork with sweet soy sauce, which is seasoned wonderfully and has a lovely charcoal-grilled crust." - Michelin Inspector

Phuket, Thailand, Dining Guide to the Food & Drink Scene - Eater

"Look for the line to find Go Benz. Thais from Bangkok flock to this restaurant, where an intensely savory, salty, MSG-heavy rice soup is supplemented with braised pork off-cuts, including impossibly crispy cubes of Chinese-style pork belly." - Austin Bush

10 Must-Try Street Food Spots in Phuket

"Arguably the most famous street food spot to come out of Phuket, this beloved joint has been dishing out bowls of khao tom haeng (dry rice porridge) for over 15 years. Open from 7 pm until 3:30 am, you can almost guarantee the street corner shop in Phuket Town will be overflowing with people, from families to groups of partygoers struck with the drunchies. Although the porridge is served with the broth on the side, you can still expect the softened rice and toppings like crispy shallots and soy-marinated pork to hold the same usual umami -packed punch." - Veronica Inveen

One of Phuket’s kinda-famous food spots that locals swear by, this place serves a unique dried porridge packed with unbelievably generous toppings. The moment the bowl arrives, you can see the huge chunks of pork—tender, flavorful, and way bigger than what you’d expect from a simple porridge dish. The dried porridge itself has that comforting aroma and soft texture, absorbing all the flavors from the toppings, making every bite rich and satisfying. It’s simple food, but done with such quality that it instantly becomes memorable. With its long-standing reputation and consistently delicious bowls, it’s no surprise this restaurant is famous. If you’re in Phuket and want a local dish that’s hearty, tasty, and loved by many, this dried porridge spot is absolutely worth a stop. 🍲✨

One of the best restaurant in Phuket! We love it so much and came here twice. Everything tastes good. And the price is very reasonable. My favourite is the pork organ soup, all the organs are cooked to perfect. Although there are a lot of customers, we never have to wait and the food serve within minutes after we ordered.

This restaurant is the real deal. Every time I’ve run out of ideas on where to eat, this spot in Phuket Town has never let me down—it’s become my go-to comfort place. Whether it’s their flavorful hot dry porridge or the perfectly crispy pork, the food here always hits the spot. The location is super convenient and walkable if you’re exploring around town. Evenings can get a little busy, but honestly, the wait is worth it. The prices are fair, the service is warm, and the menu gives you plenty of options with quality cuts of meat that you can actually taste. If you’re visiting Phuket, I’d highly recommend adding this to your food list—you’ll probably end up coming back more than once, just like I did.

Found another gem in Phuket with good local taste. Easy to order menu, just A to O. Deliciously good. Taste of soup is rich and flavourful. You can order a bowl of pig blood soup which is not in the menu. Will come back again. Pay cash only, no card payment.

Google
I thought the shop sells porridge but it's not. Well it's very delicious and cheap though! It's very popular so you need to come early. Otherwise you need to wait the queue. Highly recommended!

Go Benz Rice Porridge in Phuket is absolutely outstanding and truly deserves its year round Michelin recognition. The pork was tender and bursting with flavor. Service was fast, staff were attentive. Despite the crowd, we were seated quickly and food arrived within minutes. A must-visit spot!

Heard so much about Go Benz and its legendary dried porridge, so I decided to give it a try while in Phuket. The place gets super crowded early, you will need some 10-20 minutes to queue up but service is fast and the vibe feels local and energetic. The dried porridge was actually pretty good, with a nice mix of meats and textures. I actually love their soup served separately the most. I personally feel it’s not bad overall, but not quite as special as the hype suggests. The crispy pork didn’t impress me much — the texture was a bit underwhelming and the sauce was just okay. It’s still a decent spot for a local-style late-night meal.
