"Spanning Tokyo, Jakarta, Singapore and Bangkok, Ginza Sushi Ichi imports the daily catch from Tokyo’s markets. This Bangkok branch uses the same rice-vinegar formula as the flagship restaurant, importing sushi rice from Yamagata. The quintessentially Japanese decor with neutral pine walls hosts a genial atmosphere. Ten seats circle the marble counter for an omakase experience focusing on nigiri. Private rooms are available and, of course, there’s a good range of sake." - Michelin Inspector
"Authentic Omakase-style Sushi With a huge population of Japanese expatriates to satisfy, Bangkok is weighted down with excellent sushi and sashimi. At the pinnacle of the scale, however, is this venture, affiliated with the Michelin-starred Tokyo restaurant of the same name. The restaurant sources its fish straight from the famed Tsukiji Market in Japan's capital and it promises that the fish will have been at the market less than 24 hours before service. With the venue adopting an omakase service style where the chefs decide what you eat, diners can kick back with some choice sake and enjoy the journey."
"International cuisine is also recognised in the other one-starred restaurants, such as Ginza Sushi Ichi, Sühring (where twin brothers Mathias and Thomas Sühring dish out their interpretation of modern German cooking), L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain, Elements and Savelberg." - Meryl Koh
