Every appointment feels like a new adventure and I leave feeling confident, refreshed and totally in love with my fresh look! I am a client since 2019 and Rin has been my hairdresser since then! If you’re looking for flawless colour, precision cut, and effortless style, this is the place. And there is no other place that knows bob haircut better than stylists at GN! Deme works absolute magic with colour - she understands tone, depth, and dimension so intuitively that every visit leaves my hair looking natural, luminous, and perfectly balanced. Whether it’s refreshing highlights or a subtle colour update, she always gets it spot-on. Benny is a genius when it comes to cut and style. He somehow manages to make every cut grow out beautifully and always tailors the shape perfectly to my face and lifestyle. Every time I visit my hair looks fabulous. After so many years, the team feels more like trusted friends than stylists. The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional, and I always leave feeling completely refreshed and confident. Not to mention the best flat white in London, you will be getting while doing your hair! I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else!

Honestly adore this salon. I get my colour done by Rebecca and she’s the best of the best - listens to me and what I’m trying to achieve whilst, not compromising the health of my hair. Recommended her to my best friend and she now goes to her too!! Also, if you want a dreamy cut & blowdry, Beni is your guy. Every time I go to George Northwood, I leave so happy! Would highly recommend ✨

Before I get into the details I'll start with the positive: going here does give you a desired result - which is why I returned in the first place. Now onto the details: the customer experience is beyond subpar. Not only are you made to wait 15 minutes post your appointment start time, you are greeted by a messy area when you eventually sit down with your stylist. I found myself hopping over chunks of cut hair which surrounded the floor around me completely.. surely a simple sweep or blow from a dryer is a quick fix here? I was hesitant to hang up my tote bag on the hook as it would sweep someone's else's hair while doing so... The hair wash is mid - no massage offered & the rubber gloves used pull on hair + scalp. When getting back to the chair - the stylist picked up a FILTHY hair brush - completely FULL of the previous client's hair, to brush mine. Before I could think I stopped him there + asked for it to be cleaned. Why is it a clients place to ask for a hairbrush to be cleaned? Everyone around me was offered a drink except me and front desk staff are blunt and unbothered. Am grateful that I left with a beautiful looking style but at one point one needs to question BASIC hygiene + customer experience. I chose to try this salon as it was closer to work instead of my usual salon (Larry King) - but the contrast is stark. Its a shame because with minor tweaks and a little more passion towards client experience, I think this place would be absolutely incredible.

I finally found someone who gets my brunette hair. Anytime I tried to warm it up before, I ended up orange but Deme gives me the perfect caramel-toned balayage… every single time. She’s a true master colorist with an incredible eye for what suits you. And she’s not just talented - she’s kind, warm, and makes the whole experience amazing. I always leave feeling wonderful.

I started visiting Deme at George Northwood in 2017 and have been a loyal customer ever since! I love to be blonde and I’d had so many bad experiences even at top end salons, with stripey highlights, brassiness, hair damage etc. None of that with Deme - she is a great colorist and she listens, gives great advice and always delivers the best results. I get so many compliments on my hair colour and I love coming back. The salon is also lovely, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

I have been coming for almost two years now, every five weeks and I will never miss an appointment! Rebecca is the best in colour, she makes the chicest colour ever and the most natural one, I feel so lucky! Fer is a dream, my cut is impeccable, beautiful, very elegant and he also does the best blow dry on top of the best haircut! Thank you so much and see you in 5 weeks 😉🙏🏻

I LOVE this salon. Roi is genius cutter, Stephen world's best for men, Eliott, Frankie, Bennie all superb at blow drys. Phoebe and Demi brilliant at colour taught by the amazing Sally. Everyone friendly and on time. Great coffee.

I went in to get my normal haircut by Fabz and left crying. He was rude, sarcastic and incredibly unpleasant - when I went up to pay I was given a free haircut so I don't believe this is the first time he has acted this way. Avoid cuts with Fabz.

I wanted to be blown away by this place and unfortunately, I left feeling that I had wasted a lot of money on so-so highlights. I asked for a half head highlights and the color seems right-ish but it's only been 6 days and I can see the line where the highlights start already. She did not go close enough to the root and almost felt like she was in a hurry. I've been getting my highlights done for 18 years and usually wait 12-14 weeks between sessions. I feel like i'm ready now for my next set and it's been 6 days. The cut however was right on the mark with what i asked for. The shampoo was also great. The shampooer was so meticulous and very customer-focused. So I'd recommend them for the cut and the shampoo, just beware of the highlights. Again, they weren't bad - just not worth the amount of money that they charged. I expect near perfection and this was not that.

Modern yet casual salon. Friendly, warm staff. The shampoo/head massage was worth visiting along, then I had a fab cut by Frankie and left so pleased. I tend to leave salons at 85% happy, wait a few weeks till the cut feels right. This was instant 100% pleasure and satisfaction. Frankie listens, is talented, and "gets it." After 1 year in England, I found my hairdresser/salon!
