The session combined therapeutic techniques like lymphatic drainage with essential oils and intuitive care, and it felt both restorative and intentional — not rushed or routine.

They must be doing really well, because they don't return calls or text messages about appointments. So unprofessional. There's no way possible this company has a 5 star rating. Their receptionist, Candy, is incredibly unprofessional, and never returns calls about appointments. There are alternatives that are less expensive in the area, with staff who make you feel comfortable and welcome. This place is a "NO" from me!

I was in a bind this week, literally. After lung surgery on this past Friday I was recouping at home and of course my lack of movements quickly became more painful then the chest incisions. With pain increasing and sleep decreasing due to the constipation we called in the morning and got me in first thing. The owner, France came out and asked some questions about my surgery and said she would be here to help moving me if needed. My technician, Karen, was gentle and explained in detail what was happening each step of the way. She also gave us some articles on specific things to eat and drink to help repair my gut after all the medications I was on. Even though there was a slight bit of discomfort initially that subsided quickly and the process was easily tolerated. It actually felt good to remove what was stuck and even after my first treatment I feel like a new person. Highly recommend this facility if you're having any digestive issues especially if it's post surgery like I was dealing with.

As a first time client, I was bit nervous about having a colon hydrotherapy session. I also signed up to do the body wrap and the juvenuss procedure. I was completely nervous for no reason!! My therapist was so knowledgable about the colonic session, and put me completely at ease. She explained every step so I would know exactly what to expect and what to do. I also had the other services, and my friends said it sounded sketchy, but I was so surprised! I lost two inches over my body and my energy has increased ten fold!! I will definitely be back!!

I hate to be that person to go on Yelp and give such a poor review but people should be warned.. especially if this is your first colonic as well which is already nerve- wracking. I scheduled my appointment a week in advance and asked for the most experienced therapist. I won't name the person that did mine as she was really kind however NOT what I requested. When we started my colonic the process wasn't explained to me nor what to expect so I was really going in blindly (aside form the research I did on my own). She asked me if I wanted to add anything to my colonic and I was so shocked because I said this is my first time and I'm definitely not the expert so was hoping she would tell me what I need based on the 5 pages of symptoms I filled out. She ended up just using water and towards the last 10 minutes of my colonic I asked what she add on she added (probiotics, coffee enema or chlorophyll) and she said nothing because it wasn't clear what I wanted.. Im sorry- most people don't go to the doctor and ask them what drugs to take for their symptoms.. the expert should tell you! On top of that she rushed me out and said we don't have time to give you anything because her next client is here. I was so taken back so she offered me 5 min vs 10 minutes of probiotics and I asked if I would still need to pay for the add on at full price and she said yes even though I would only be receiving half of the treatment time. None of this made sense. If you ever want feel like just another number this is your place! After I left I felt completely awful all day. Dizzy, fatigue, chills, nausea. I called 3 times and finally got through and spoke with the owner. The only reason why I'm giving this 2 stars vs 1 was because she was helpful on what to do to feel better, and the receptionist was also really sweet and understanding. Nevertheless no one called again to see if I'm doing OK or try and see if I'd be interested in seeing someone else with more experience, which is another reason why this place unfortunately only deserves 2 stars. Customer service should be the top priority during a procedure like this especially when it's your first time getting a colonic done. Lastly- the owner told me you need a prescription to add any additives to your colonic yet the lady who did mine offered me every add on! Thank god I didn't get anything added but clearly everyone isn't on the same level of expertise at this place, which is scary to think when someone is treating your body!

I am new to getting colonics and I have to admit I was a bit nervous. After arriving at GWC I was immediately struck by how peaceful, calming and welcoming the place was. I was greeted by Candy who was were warm and helpful. She checked me in and could tell I was a bit nervous. She was really great and made me feel taken care of. I was also greeted by the owner Suzanne and she was also very warm and welcoming and reassured me I was going to be with a great colon hydrotherapist and I sure was! Jollie greeted me and introduced herself and was so great! Very welcoming and you could tell she was an expert in doing this because she walked me through the process before we started. Any nervousness was stripped away at this point and I know I was in great hands. Jollie basically explained the big picture of being as healthy as one can be and how colonics fit in. I felt like an expert after she explained it all. Also, she was very warm and knew what she was doing while going through my session. Always monitoring the process, she was attentive and hands on. Also, she was very involved with telling me how it was going and what I needed to in the future. It was a very positive experience, and continues to be as now I am hooked. My body has changed in the short amount of time I've been going and I'm finally achieving my health goals and losing a lot of weight, which I've been struggling with for years! Jollie is the best and I highly recommended her. And the whole staff is great! Thank you!

Absolutely love this place! It always helps flatten out my belly and most importantly puts me and my stomach pain at ease. A lot of the time we don't understand that the toxins in our stomach affect every aspect of our life. Colonics help my skin improvise, decreases bloating, gas, constipation, and you never know what's living inside of your gut. This place is my go too! I love Fatima, Julie! Honestly never once had a bad experience here. I can't get enough.

Had a foot bath done here and it was mediocre. The staff doesn't really make you feel like this is a treatment. It was more of a get in and get right out type thing

10 out of 10!! This isn't my first time getting a colonic, but this is the first time I got one at Gentle Wellness. My specialist was Jen, she was excellent! Usually when I get a colonic very little comes out because I hold a little of water and then go on the toilet whenever I'm done with the colonic part. But baaaabbbyyy it was waaay different this time, Jen messaged my legs, knees, and feet which felt good. Now the kicker is when she whipped out the vibrating brush and put that on my stomach, well that vibrating brush loosened up EVERYTHING! I never seen so much stool come out in my life!! I was like OMG!! In my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice I was like "I'll be back!"

Typically not my thing but I just came back from travel and my Natural Pathetic Doctor recommended a colon cleans to detoxify. I was pleasantly surprised by the Day Spa atmosphere and have had 2 sessions both of which left me with a feeling of super vitality. It even improved my vision. I highly recommend the Gentle Wellness Center.

They are the best place for colonic in LA. There isn't a place just like it, perfect in every way! Serena, Fatima, Jollie, the owners, the receptionists. Every single person there are kind souls and healing spirits. Grateful to know them.

Update: after the negative review, gentle wellness contacted me and offered to give me a complementary session with the owner. They were extremely apologetic and told me the double booking happened because they have couple of new employees and there has been a mix up in scheduling. This time everything was great. I also tried infrared sauna and it was fantastic! Calming music, dim lights, big jar of iced water, plush towels, they all made me feel like I was being pampered. And for some reason I sweated in this sauna compared to other infrared saunas I tried (it's a good thing) This place feels like a luxurious spa and has the service to match the atmosphere. It's a great place to come to cleanse, relax and rejuvenate.

Diagnosed with Mold Toxicity, Lyme and SIBO. I recommend going two days back to back your first time because for those with chronic constipation once just starts and the second gets in there. I had some light cramping after day one. Day two I felt lighter and better and removed much much more. This is supposed to help with detox and that's what I need :) clean, relaxing, private, informative.

My favorite place to get colonic, most of the therapists are knowledgeable in what they do. I love laying down on the heated and healing mattress during the colonic. It is pricey but usually I save more money buying the packages. Their 24 hours cancellation policy is so strict, they are not very considerate even for a loyal customer like me. If you do not cancel within 24 hours prior your appointment, they will charge the full session.

Everybody at this facility is amazing. Franz is a fountain of knowledge and so intuitive with client needs and their bodies! On my first session with her, she was telling me stuff about myself almost like a psychic and could feel and read the needs of my body. . I have never had a colonic in my life, and I chose this center to try it. I was fearful because I heard about pain and cramping, with colonics, but it is so PEACEFUL and the process is so GENTLE and effective. I have so much more energy. Jollie is wonderful too and super pleasant. I would totally send my loved ones to them. It is a smidge pricey but totally worth the feeling after their treatments! I'd never thought I'd say this, but I am super happy for my next colonic visit :)

Found this gem after getting no-showed at another place. I'm thankful other wise we would have not found this place. We saw Karen for an open system. Gentle Wellness Center was able to accommodate us as a last minute booking. This place overs a variety of services, detox, body wraps, etc... It's a beautiful space and very clean. I highly recommend this place!

This review is for a, dare I say, emergency colonic with Karen. I was experiencing severe, post-surgery, codeine-induced constipation. I'd never experienced anything like it, and when I arrived at Gentle Wellness, it was clear I had waited too long. I was a wreck, and the staff was extremely considerate in expediting my intake process and got down to business. Karen was an angel. So patient and understanding in my time of panic and severe discomfort. She was aware of how worked up I was, and treated me with soothing oils and light massage. Needless to say, I left in MUCH better shape than I arrived, all thanks to Karen and the comfortable environment they've curated at Gentle Wellness. I'd give them ten stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Love Gentle Wellness! I can't say enough good things about them. Conscientious, helpful, gentle expertise in an environment that makes you feel so relaxed; I have recommended GW to many people and they have had the same wonderful experiences I've had. I really cannot imagine ever enjoying a colonic but Gentle Wellness does a magical job at making it a pleasant experience and this is the only place I will ever get them done. It's a very calm environment once inside and everyone is friendly and helpful. Jollie was my therapist and she was so sweet and gentle, I really cannot imagine doing this without her. Mind you, this was my second colonic and my first one was so traumatic I was practically begging her to stop lol. This was a total 180, she massaged my stomach, legs and feet throughout the session and was very calming. The room itself is very tranquil, dim lights, comfortable bed, heat lamp and a transcendent picture of the ocean literally in front of my face ha. They honor the 10% discount from Yelp so mention that when paying. There is free parking in the lot, I wish they made that clear because I parked 15 minutes away, normally I wouldn't care but after that type of session I didn't want to walk.... Other than that, it's a great wellness center!

A friend recommended I go for hydrotherapy and my body and spirit have been very grateful. I had my session with France, she is amazing, gentle and love the heating lamp used to keep you warm and comfortable. I've had three sessions and I found it to be emotionally healing, it's about learning to let go! I have more energy and love the way I feel, no longer bloated and now I am following healthier ways to be and in the New Year I am planning to take a vacation from toxins. France has been teaching for 30 years and has had her own business for many years as well. I purchased the Green Magic and love it when making a smoothie and also Super Critical Omega. I also recommend the Infrared sauna afterwards and the amethyst bio-mat which is amazing and relaxing, best to use that before a session. The environment and setting is serene and calming! The staff is very helpful and they have convenient underground parking...

Fatima changed my life (for the better) I am now super health conscious. Colonics have cured the chronic ibs I used to get. I come in a few times a month! It really flattens the stomach out also. Def recommend doing before a shoot, wedding, vacation etc :) your mind will be blown

I have visited this location on three different occasions since moving to LA. Its always been a pleasurable experience until recently. I booked an appointment through the website a few days ago, and when I showed up no one was there to great me, the place was closed. I left a message, and called numerous times and yet to get a phone call back. I was so confused as I received an email confirming my appointment. Super disappointed my time was wasted, as I drove an hour away to visit the location for what I thought was my "scheduled appointment'. Update: I received a call from the location, and they were so apologetic that the appt program they used for their website was having issues, and provided me with a free appt. Love the fact they worked to fix a situation they had no control over, going to continue to pay them visits.

Very professional. Liked my therapist very much. Only problem is that they push you to buy packages and come in multiple times in the same week, which based on research and experience, is not healthy. I would recommend this place for those times when you really need relief in a clean and comfortable environment.

I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and Mold toxicity and the treatments I was getting were making me feel AWFUL. Like I had the flu half of the time. My Dr. recommended colonics as Lyme makes the body particularly toxic thus exacerbating the symptoms. I was terrified, naturally, but I am SO thankful I found Gentle Wellness Center. Serena is AMAZING. She is such a kind gentle and loving spirit and makes me feel so at ease every time. I had a million questions and she is always happy to answer them for me. The center itself is so clean, beautiful, and like a spiritual oasis, complete with salt lamps, relaxing music, and pristine bathrooms. There are many different machines to chose from which Serena helped me find the one that works best for me. I personally LOVE the open system and recommend it to anyone who has problems with constipation or being "backed up" in any way. If I can help it, I won't go anywhere else! Thank you Serena!

Not feeling this place anymore. Used to come here for open system colonics and the tech was always helpful. Most recently came and was not very warmly received. The room wasn't ready, she was trying to turn it on etc when I walked in. Left no lubricant, no towels, no sheet, no pillows, nothing. Only a hospital gown. No music, no offer of the fan on or off. Really bad experience and wont be back. Have since done the same Angel Of Water open colonic at other locations for half the price, and noticed their disposable nozzles are much less painful, round tips and the flow was better. They buy the point nozzles here that hurt and the water doesn't flow out as strong. Nothing about this location of their overpriced $100 open colonic is worth it. Wont recommend anyone to come here anymore. Oh and receptionist is rude and unprofessional.

Everyone here is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. They make you feel so comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. I would not go anywhere else for a colonic!!!

Love this place! Coffee enemas are a must if you're detoxing! Great friendly informed staff! Loved the chlorophyll colonic too! Try the foot bath and infrared sauna! You'll feel great!

Bad, bad, bad business practice... I've been a client for almost a decade and I found out today that they increased the prices by $20 a session. Who does that without informing the customers and leaving it to the colon therapist to communicate? Who reads posters or anything after a Colonic? I am in a positive glow and can only think of my experience. Fatima and Megan are amazing therapist that listen, get the job done and invite positive vibes during the session. Finding out how little this establishment thinks about their clients isn't a gentle experience. Instead, it left me wanting to throw up.. I'm a female entrepreneur and focused on health and this is not a healthy way to treat family. Good bye! I'm giving them 1 star for their therapist.

Without sharing too much, let me say that at the end of a cleanse I was stopped up, and super uncomfortable. I called a few other places and they could not fit me in same day. I looked for the closest location to me and found Gentle Wellness Center. First off, they have two systems - open and closed. After speaking with the very knowledgable technician [Bre] about my discomfort, she suggested the open system. Bre was fantastic talking me through everything. Massaging my belly, feet and knees. She seemed to know exactly where to touch to get things moving. I feel like myself again! All my discomfort is gone! I highly recommend this place and Bre. I will be back and next time I'll set it up to go before, during and after a cleanse. Just a heads up that the entrance is on 9th street not on Broadway as the address suggests. If you've never had a colonic before, being a bit nervous is normal, you will quickly relax in this environment. Truly 5 Star rating in every way and they are open 7 days a week!

I just had my first appt today at the General Wellness Center! I called this morning...they had an appt available...emailed paperwork to be completed prior to the first visit...free parking underground. And, my therapist, Kelly was amazing...so kind and warm!! Also front office staff was nice as well. I have had colonics in the past at WE CARE in the Desert and also here in WLA and I can say...this place is very clean and organized. I will be going back!

Okay, all I have to say is...if you want an excellent colonic THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! The staff there are truly inviting...a very serene and peaceful place. They make you feel extremely comfortable. This process is already a little daunting for some....but Kelly took care of me! Without going into details....the process was smooth and much needed. If you want to cleanse your body from the inside out...this is what you need to do....and where you need to visit.

I was really impressed with my experience at the Gentle Wellness Center. From my first contact, the receptionist was very professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions kindly and patiently. The center is extremely clean and decorated beautifully with great energy. Karen performed my service and she was outstanding. She was prompt, efficient, kind, caring, informative, and took the time to answer any questions and made sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend!!

I loved the infrared sauna... I sweated so much and I felt very "cleansed" afterwards! The staff was also really friendly and welcoming. I look forward to going back soon.

I must admit I was a little hesitant to come here and receive a colonic but my wife has been coming here for years and France is an amazing woman. She is so gentle and sweet and comforting. The facility is super clean and super nice. They offer many other services such as infrared saunas and ionic foot baths and more. I strongly suggest coming here. Truly an easy experience with an amazing staff! There is parking underground or street parking.

Five star experience. I came in for my first colonic after having some significant digestion issues. I was definitely nervous but that quickly subsided once I got there. Fatima was so wonderful and suggested I come back for two more the same week given my situation. I wondered if I would actually need three sessions and now that I have completed the third I'm really glad I did. I had a different therapist each session and they were all so lovely and knew what they were doing. I am so pleased with my experience and I will 1000% come back!!

This center introduced me to open-system colonics. Thank the lord! The Angel water colonics have been a life-saver to me. And the staff at Gentle Wellness - they are all so kind and informative. I live on the East Coast now -- but whenever I am in California, this is the only place I'd get a colonic. Also I highly recommend the facials and lymph drainage service!

I've been to Gentle Wellness Center for the Infrared Sauna several times. It's been a great experience each time. I've never had to wait longer than a couple minutes, it's clean, quiet, and the staff have all been friendly and professional.

This place and experience was amazing! Jackie was just absolutely delightful. Wow. While it is a rather different experience, she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and help me throughout the experience. I did not experience any weird symptoms after. I was starving and ate a storm actually! Have fun.

This is the place to go if you really need to D-tox. Wall to wall celebs and total pros at what they do. They treat everyone the same and get the results you need. Amazing place and if the big names go there. You damn well know it's going to be good ..

Ok, so if you've never had a colonic, definitely read about it first. If you're ready to take the butt plunge, this place is the jam. They are super nice and good at explaining things. And if you're like me, you will have questions. Another service they offer (and they offer many) is a Far-Infrared sauna session. It's $45 bucks for 45 minutes, and it can be nice to pair this with a colonic (read: if you're a baller). Bottoms up!

Meh... It's awkward to begin with... Imagine no spa-like music and tense conversation. I was recommended to go from a friend who had a good first experience (with Kimberly). My therapist seemed knowledgable but didn't give much in terms of what I could do to improve (though I'm already a healthy eater and drink tons of water so maybe that's why). At the start of the most awkward part, the spa-like music ended and never returned. The therapist apologized but it didn't make the awkwardness go away! Haha! When checkin out I asked for a discount (they give 10%-off for yelp check ins which is like $10 off). I asked if they could offer a discount for the added awkwardness due to no music. The receptionist called the owners who said "give her $5 off" They had the opportunity to get a raging fan and instead, I'm still checking in on yelp and forgoing the $10-off to have the opportunity to say: poor form. 1st star: free parking in Santa Monica 2nd star: my therapist did the best she could

Love this place!!! My favorite place for colonics. Very clean and professional. I love how they massage your feet and give you oils to smell. Also the warm heating pad is awesome.

The best place to go in Cali!

I was referred to Gentle Wellness by a friend a year ago and looking back, I cannot believe I was ever living without this place. Colon hydrotherapy has helped me in numerous ways. Before colonics, I had terrible IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and although it took some time to heal myself, I can happily say that I no longer deal with the terrible consequences of the disease. Whenever I would have evening plans, I used to worry all day about my stomach not cooperating and feeling bloated, which would really put a damper on my social life. I now no longer have to worry. These days, my stomach is flat even after I eat because it is no longer a sick tummy. I consider colonics a very important part of my life now as they are vital to my health and wellness. I was very apprehensive before my first colonic, but my therapist France made the experience very comfortable and the spa-like facility helped with that too. The therapists at Gentle Wellness do body work (which makes all the difference!) during your session using essential oils, which helps you to relax and have a better release. They are all very kind and are always willing to talk with you about any problems you are having with your health and offer suggestions of ways to help. I like to do juice cleanses a few times a year and I always make sure to come here during that time as well. I once was tempted by a daily deal for a colonic at another wellness center and I could not believe the difference. It was nothing like my experiences at Gentle Wellness and I will never go elsewhere again. So if you've tried colonics and haven't enjoyed the results, you should consider coming here because it's not like other places. You will see and feel the difference at Gentle Wellness!
