"Franco Manca is one of the daddies as far as Neapolitan-style pizza in London is concerned, and their original restaurant in Brixton Arcade is where it all started. Coming here is like travelling back in time, kind of like visiting a retro arcade, or going outside the M25. The inside of the restaurant has a huge oven that keeps the place warm, and turns out excellent pizzas with top quality, classic toppings like wild mushrooms and buffalo ricotta. Flavoursome pizza with generously-laid toppings, despite my expectations of pizza from a chain! 🍕 The atmosphere was pleasant, and very good value for money. Service was a little lacklustre, but otherwise no complaints!

I was extremely impressed, despite being located in the center of Brixton, amidst the bustling market. The atmosphere inside was remarkably tranquil, the pizza was both cheesy and hot, and the service was delightful.

Disappointing Experience at Franco Manca Our visit to Franco Manca was frustrating from start to finish. We ordered a bottle of wine, but strangely, no wine glasses were provided—only basic water glasses used for water. When we asked for proper wine glasses, the staff seemed surprised, as if this was an unusual request. After practically begging for any kind of glasses, we were finally given simple Duralex tumblers—not exactly the experience you expect when ordering a bottle of wine. Service was indifferent and slow, making us feel like an afterthought rather than valued customers. While Franco Manca is known for its pizzas, they were nothing exceptional. In the same neighborhood, Mamma Dough serves far superior pizzas with much better service.

We had a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious — my 4-year-old son, who is usually a picky eater, devoured the pizza. That says a lot! Felipe was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service that made our visit even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Felipe!

Me and my girlfriend came here and was very happy with the service, a lovely guy called Long served us and really explained the menu and options. He was kind and smiley, he went out his way to kindly ask about our half half pizza choices (we were being a little extra but he made it happen!!) just a special thanks honestly

Really good atmosphere, I loved dining at Franco Manca Brixton. I came in on a busy day, but Aurora was so attentive and nice and really professional. Truly one of the best waitresses I’ve ever encountered. Will definitely be coming back!

We stopped by after work with a few friends, and it was exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively—great energy without being too loud to chat. Staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, and the service was quick even though the place was busy.
