Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island

This is a top Four Seasons resort, an absolutely outstanding property. Vastly superior to Six Senses Zil Pasyon we also visited.||Easy transfer via light aircraft (no issues with baggage) and warm welcome. Incredible island with a huge number of activities. Find your own beach and spend as long as you like enjoying the ocean. Great restaurants / Lighthouse particularly outstanding. Great beef. ||Service levels top top notch. Nothing too much of an issue. Great hotel for teenagers / lots to do.||Giant tortoises amazing to see as well.||Villas v comfortable. Well appointed and maintained. Easy to get to public areas. ||Downsides / WiFi v slow in all of the Seychelles as Starlink now allowed and a cheese soufflé was average. Beyond that / this is an incredible hotel.

Simply wonderful. |We visited to Desroches as a family of six adults and three young children from the 28th of December to the 5th of January and loved every minute of our time there.|As a family, we are well travelled and the standout feature for us on this beautifully natural and unspoiled resort Island is the fantastic staff who recognise us by name from the first day and nothing was too much trouble.|Well maintained save for the washed out pit holes on the packed sand roads and paths with an abundance of nature. Wonderful giant tortoises, sea turtles joining us on the beach to nest and baby turtles making a break for the sea were just some of the thrills for the children. |Our Beach Villas were well appointed and serviced and led straight into sunset beach |We loved our stay at Desroches

We have just returned from the most amazing two weeks in paradise on earth. Spacious stunning villa for five of us - plenty of space and more to live there forever if you want to! The island is truly spectacular, you feel like you are a castaway except your every need is catered for. Deserted white beaches, sea turtles, jungle pathways by bike and roaming wild giant tortoises (the stars of the show!) we so enjoyed feeding them and stroking them as they are very tame with humans. A real treat. The staff are incredible at this hotel. So friendly and welcoming - exceptional personal service and we truly felt like we had made friends during our two week stay. Of special mention (although everyone was first class) our restaurant waiter Abraam who made us laugh every meal time and was a true professional, Tony our wonderful butler who looked after us beautifully, and Rohan (Marketing team) who was so welcoming and friendly every time we saw him. These people and all the staff really enhanced our stay. This place is a cut above the rest. If you get the chance to visit Paradise don’t hesitate!!

We stayed at Four Seasons Desroches for Four days in the middle of August. Everything concerning our stay was simple perfect; our Villa was huge, with nice local design in modern standards. The food was stunning! The themed buffets evenings and a’la carte menu - Food quality in each restaurant was always stunning. I also did the scuba diving in hotel’s Diving Centre and I can highly recommend it to every maritime life fan. As I said before, the stay was simply perfect from the beginning to the very end and we will never forget it. We would also like to mention about Lai Lai from the main restaurant – she is one of the friendliest people we’ve ever met!

A stunning luxury stay on a secluded island. We loved the possibility to bike to different incredible locations & beaches, the stunning waters, wide range of amenities, beautiful villas and food choice. We had an amazing time relaxing and exploring the island. Feels like being alone in the world, especially with the private plane bringing you there. A truly unique stay.

Where do I start ! My partner and I are still floating around on Cloud 9 after our stay at The Four Seasons at Deroches Island. |We both travel a lot , and we can honestly say that our stay at Deroches was one of the most inspirational and perfect stays we have ever experienced. I will try and keep my points as concise as possible but its difficult not to wax lyrical about everything ! |1) the service from the entire FS Deroches team was impeccable. Being in the service industry myself, I could immediately see that the FS have an impeccable training program , installing the most beautiful values in their workforce. This is evident loud and clear when coming into contact with any of the FS staff, no matter what the area. I did not take everyone's names but Budi , the resort manager was simply amazing. You can see that the entire team love working with him and he runs a super tight ship in resort. Also Evgeny , the F&B manager was fabulous and ensured that all our eating experiences were perfect. I am the pain of the couple as I'm a vegan ! However Evgeny and his team could not do enough for me and ensured I was looked after at all times. I felt very grateful indeed. |2) The restaurants and facilities at Deroches are superb. Meticulously looked after. The highlight for my husband and I was our evening at the Lighthouse. Absolutely stunning. Pre-drinks at the bar upstairs followed by dinner outside amongst all the Shearwater birds talking to us ! We absolutely loved it. |3) Deroches Island itself was pure paradise for my husband and I. It is beautifully looked after and roads were perfect to cycle around. We loved the fact we were free to cycle to every corner of the island , safely and each road led to the most beautiful beach and coast line. Although FS is a 5star resort , the way the resort is submersed into the beauty of the island and doesn't radiate any obvious commercialism is perfect. ||Our only regret is that we didn't stay long enough and we are already planning to return as soon as we can.||WELL DONE and HUGE THANK YOU to the entire FS Deroches Team. I hope my review does justice to the amazing experience my husband and I had as part of our honeymoon tour around the Seychelles. |Rachel and Craig

Four Seasons might be a large hotel, but we felt quite secluded in our sunset villa. Unfortunately there was building works going on in the villa next to us which was somewhat bothersome. Manageress claimed that the workers were from the Seychelles government so they couldn't do anything about it...Food-wise it was fine, snorkeling ok, shearwaters singing mesmerizing. One other negative aspect: no sunshade at all around the villa.

Desroches island is truly paradise! We loved our week spent on the island and thought it was the perfect amount of time. The staff was incredible from Masha who welcomed us and gave us an incredible tour as she checked us in (and then brought postcards for us on our last day so we could send them to friends and family) to Nasreen who is the amazing conservationist and an expert on all things turtles and tortoises||We enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets right at our villa, deserted beaches (I don't think we ever saw more than 2 other groups with us at any beach at any point), turtle filled waters and friendly tortoise filled land. ||I will say that whilst the service was amazing at the restaurants, the food disappointed us a bit (other than breakfast). The deli and the lighthouse were much better than Claudine in our opinion.
