At this cozy gastropub, indulge in unique pub fare like Short Rib Kimchi Empanadas and towering burgers while sipping from a robust whiskey and craft beer selection.
"If you’re hoping to get a table here after seeing Chappell Roan perform a couple blocks away at the stadium, you’ll probably need to leave before the encore set. Station House is the most popular post-show bar in Forest Hills, and it usually fills up on random nights, too. The dimly lit space feels kind of like a sports bar (there are big TVs all around the room), and it works well for anything from casual drinks with friends to a solo dinner at the bar. There’s a long list of craft beers on tap, and you’ll also find good cocktails, plus bar food like a massive burger topped with melted cheese, fried onions, and braised brisket." - molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, bryan kim, matt tervooren
"This popular neighborhood bar offers a unique pub menu ranging from Short Rib Kimchi Empanadas, to Chicken and Waffles to Poutine!! The Station House boasts over 100 whiskeys to taste and a ton of craft beer with something new always on tap. They host weekly events including Tuesday Brewery Night, Whiskey Wednesday and a Thursday Cocktail Challenge." - Rachel Kaminetzky & Nicole David
"Buffalo wing purists claim that anything with breading ceases to be the real thing. (If that sounds like you, keep fighting the good fight.) But we recommend ordering the farm-style jumbo wings at Forest Hills Station House. The breading is thick and crispy, and the wings are slathered in just enough Station House Hot sauce to sting but not get soggy, with pickled peppers on the side. " - Neha Talreja, Kenny Yang
"Station House is a go-to whenever we’re looking for a drink in Forest Hills, and especially after midnight. It always tends to draw a crowd, which means you and some friends can walk in at 2am and not feel like you’re keeping the staff from closing up early. They also have a bunch of good beers on tap and some very solid bar food, so it works if you want to end the night with a beer and burger at the bar while watching post-game from another Giants loss on the TVs." - matt tervooren
"At Forest Hills Station House, you can get a burger topped with cheese, fried onions, and brisket. It’s called the Decadent Burger, and it’s both comically tall and delicious. Sure, you have to squish it all together to take a bite, but it’s worth that little bit of physical effort. The bar is also pretty long, so you have a very good chance of finding a seat (unless a show just got out at Forest Hills Stadium)." - bryan kim
