The ambience was lovely, and our server was excellent—very knowledgeable and attentive. Fantastic. However, towards the mains, the food took a downward turn. While the chicken in the curry was juicy, several pieces were burnt to the point where they tasted like charcoal. The rice that came with the prawns was very dry and crunchy; if that’s how it's meant to be, it wasn’t to our taste, and we didn’t end up eating it. The steak (we were advised they were experimenting with a new cut of meat, highly recommended by the chef) was unchewable. We couldn’t eat it. Even though we were there for a special occasion, we decided to skip dessert due to this.
However, the highball cocktail was delicious—a perfect mix of ingredients. The kingfish was refreshing with beautiful flavors, and the scotch quail eggs paired with the relish were also delicious!
