The flowers from my wedding day were absolutely beautiful! I am still receiving compliments from my family and friends about how beautiful the floral displays were. I found the farmers daughter on instagram when I was looking for a florist and loved everything they had posted. I reached out to Lauren and she was quick to send me a proposal. Her team dropped the flowers off for my wedding party early during the day. they set arrangements up for my ceremony, transferred flowers to my reception space, and they did such a nice job some guests assumed I purchased more flowers. Seeing the roses lining the aisle was the first time I cried on my wedding day, it was gorgeous. I cannot recommend farmers daughter enough! they were perfect!!

We got our wedding flowers from Farmer's Daughter and they were gorgeous! I loved my bouquet. We did large Dahlia's for the bridesmaids and got bright and colorful flower buckets for all of the bud vases. I would definitely recommend getting your wedding florals here!

We worked with The Farmer’s Daughter for our November 2024 wedding at the Heinz History Center. Our florals were so beautiful and really transformed the ceremony and reception spaces. Jenna was so great to work with and understood and executed our vision better than we even imagined. We got so many compliments from our guests on our florals. I would highly recommend Jenna and The Farmer’s Daughter!! As an added bonus, their floral shop on the North Side is so cute and a great place to visit!

My husband and I were so excited with how our wedding flowers turned out. The work out of Farmer’s Daughter is always so top notch. They are leaders in the wedding industry, and their professionalism and polish are a testament to the quality of service they provide. My husband and I wanted to do two columns of greenery at the altar where our bridesmaids and groomsmen would insert single stem roses as they approached the altar, and Farmer’s Daughter delivered so so perfectly. They trained our day-of coordinator to teach our wedding party how to insert the stems into the columns and it was all executed perfectly. Our ceremony space looked absolutely stunning with candles in the windows, and our reception space was also exactly how we envisioned. The team moved our columns over from the ceremony space to the reception space, and it was all just so seamless and beautiful. We are so thankful that we trusted the best in the business, because the level of peace-of-mind, style and professionalism is unmatched. Thank you Farmer’s Daughter!!!

Lauren & The Farmer's Daughter provided the flowers & centerpieces for our wedding on 11.18.2023, and everything was absolutely STUNNING! When I walked into our first meeting in June, I had about 15 mish-moshed Pinterest pictures that were “kind of” what I wanted, but I was really 95% clueless. After chatting for about 20 minutes, Lauren worked her magic and turned my jumbled mess into the most gorgeous ideas! Many brides (& grooms!) are thrown into the wedding planning world with no clue of what it entails, which necessitates carefully curating vendors that you can rely on & trust. The Farmer's Daughter has an astounding level of knowledge & expertise that proved INVALUABLE!! On our wedding day, Lauren and The Farmer’s Daughter did NOT disappoint! When The Farmer’s Daughter team walked into our bridal suite with the bouquets, everyone audibly gasped – they were breathtaking! We got numerous compliments from guests all evening long, and even after the wedding – everyone gushed about the centerpieces, our deconstructed arch, the bouquets, everything! Lauren & The Farmer’s Daughter was one vendor that I did not need to worry or think about after booking, and that peace of mind was such a special gift! I would recommend them to anyone for all of your floral needs!! As an added bonus, I also got some last-minute bridesmaids’ gifts from their shop – they have the CUTEST stuff in there!!

I wanted to like this place, but all around it was extremely over priced, which is not a reason to write a bad review, but we paid $42 for a tiny bouquet for my wife’s birthday that has already started falling apart 2 days later. We put it in water within 15 minutes of leaving the store. We purchased hand cut flowers for our wedding from local farmers, and they lasted weeks. We get weekly flowers from different vendors & farms, but I have never been so disappointed in a product for the price point. It didn’t feel welcoming. Support your local farmers if you’re looking for high quality flowers or just stick to trader joe’s.

The Farmer's Daughter did an amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. It was really an honor to work with Jenna - her ability to turn my vision into reality was truly amazing. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff, including Tara who helped tweak my contract last minute! So very happy with my entire experience!

The best bouquets you can find and much more than just a flower shop. I can't recommend them enough If you're like me, and appreciate flowers (but know little to nothing about them)...and especially if you're looking to impress a special someone with much more floral familiarity - this is your place. If you're nothing like me, but still want a bouquet that stands out - go here. I'm sure did all of the employees are terrific, but Clara particularly has helped me out on more than one occasion. The shop itself is worth a visit for much more than. The flowers. There's gemstones and candles and all sorts of artful postcards and drinking some things that will make you and/or your partner very, very happy.

Another day, another gorgeous bouquet! If your partner or you goes to Union Fitness, Farmers Daughter is right on the way home and my partner stops to grab a bouquet from their grab and go section. It's so convenient to be able to walk in, see something you like and head out minutes later! Their flower section is always so unique and they have fantastic arrangements. Even our dog Ellie enjoyed the flowers!

The Farmer's Daughter is my go - to spot for flowers, whether it be just for fun or for a holiday. My boyfriend has gotten me a couple of bouquets & they are stunning (he's a smart man)! The designs are so eclectic & modern compared to grocery store flowers. I've seen their work at weddings as well & it's breathtaking. I will say that I don't think the bouquets last a long time. I start to see them get wilty/droopy/dropping petals after about a week. This is even after following their care instructions. I don't know if that's how "real" fresh flowers typically last compared to "fake" fresh flowers from the grocery store, if that makes sense. This might be completely normal! The store itself has a huge variety of home goods, stationary, decor, etc. Perfect place for buying gifts. Everything is so cute! I will say that most items are on the expensive side but everything I've gotten has been great quality. I prefer to support local businesses as opposed to chains, so I feel the pricing is typical of higher end/boutique style shops. Every employee I've ever been helped by are super friendly! In fact, one time I was buying multiple items for a gift and they wrapped it so nicely with tissue paper & ribbon in a bag for me. It was great! The store is located right on East Ohio Street in the North Side & street parking is usually pretty easy to find. FD Flowers will always have a lifelong customer with me!

I love peonies! Saw them en mass for the first time at Shelburne Museum. They grow their own product. Very cool! The photography on their website and social media sets high expectations. They met them! I interacted with staff through email and over the phone. Very friendly and eager to please. Can't wait to order from them again.

I hadn't been in here since before Covid, and stopped in last week! Their flowers are as beautiful as always, but their gift selection has really grown. I ended up buying my mom a Mother's Day gift, and saw so many great birthday options for friends in the future! Would highly recommend for flowers or other gifts for any of the special people in your life.

My aunt recently had surgery and I was looking for a florist with a certain aesthetic and I can across Farmer's Daughter. Luckily she lived within their delivery range so I took a chance and placed the order. I live internationally so I was a little worried something would happen with the order and it wouldn't be processed but they delivered as promised. I used to work in a popular flower shop in West Hollywood, CA so I wanted to make sure the money I spent was well spent and when I received my aunt's "thank you" text she was over the moon. I'm so happy that everything went smoothly and perfectly and the from the photo the arrangement looks beautiful. Thank you, I wish I could call and tell them that but with the time difference it makes it difficult hopefully this review will suffice.

On a sunny Spring day, the Friday before Easter, I had the chance to pop-in to this relocated (August 2020) more-than-a-flower shop store. What a delight, seeing all the beautiful Easter flower arrangements awaiting pick up. Outside the door was a chalkboard of the daily items available. Inside was a wonderfully curated plant and uncommon gift store. What an expanded treasure on the E Ohio Street Business District strip.

I ordered a delivery of the flower arrangement for my friend's birthday. They were beautiful and fresh.

What a lovely, eclectic and overall beautiful store. THE Farmer's Daughter is such a sweet place to come to to find cute and unique gifts for special people. The staff was extremely friendly and the store was set up beautifully. I would definitely come here again.

I have been following the Farmer's Daughter Flowers for awhile on social media and I think that their flowers and arrangements are absolutely stunning. My partner got me a bouquet for a recent celebration and I loved how beautiful the bouquet came out! However, with in a day of pick up the large orange flower in the front of the bouquet was already dying. Then within the next two days half of the bouquet was dead if not wilting. I was very upset that this had happened as I had been changing the water and cutting the stems daily. I was also upset to see that a bouquet I received from 1-800 flowers via mail on the same day I picked up my bouquet from the farmer's daughter way out lasted the expensive bouquet despite me caring for them in the same way. From this experience I am hesitant to buy flower arrangements again from them in the future because they are a bit on the pricey side and the cost is not worth it to me if the flowers will only be in their peak condition for a day.

This floral shop is amazing. The bouquets and arrangements are true works of art. Almost as though each one is custom designed per customer. I've used them to send flowers to people as well as to make arrangements for my home.

A visual feast, you will love this floral shop! Beautifully decorated and well staffed, it's a joy to come here. The flowers are all in great condition, so you know they will last. There's a good variety to choose from, and very helpful service from the employees. This is a woman owned business that is amazing to visit. There are 2 full rooms of marvelous treasures, it's fun to look around. Highly recommended, you will always leave smiling.

My daughter had flowers sent to me for Mother's Day. I did not have the heart to tell her they were terrible! They were wrapped so tightly that they were ruined when I separated them. I cut stem end diagonally and placed them in a vase with the powder and they just dropped and never recovered. They looked very expensive. What a waste! These people should not be in the floral delivery business!

What a great florist! I asked them to deliver birthday flowers and received this photo from my aunt, who wrote: "I love them. I really like mixed bouquets with bright colors. The roses and the hyacynth smell wonderful. I can smell them as soon as I enter the apartment."

I've been a big fan of The Farmer's Daughter Flowers for awhile now because they make the prettiest bouquets in all the land. I always feel extra special when I have their arrangements in my home. I recently visited their new store (across from where they were located previously) and OH MY GOODNESS! It's curated wonderfully. Such a great place to buy gifts for those you love-- I did 90% of my Christmas shopping here.

I needed a small bouquet for my grandmother's funeral, from me, to put in her casket with her. I walked in and told the ladies working what I needed and they were more than accommodating to help me pick something that truly made me think of my grandmother. From helping me pick out the flowers, to putting a small cute bow on it, and also having very kind words, I'm glad I found this amazing shop. Also, while there, I bought a couple cute, little succulents from their last chance rack. I name all my plants Frank, but I have also included a picture of the newest Frank added to my apartment. Thank you ladies for the great service, I'm glad I stumbled across here. I'll be back to pick up more plants and little gifts!

I literally want to buy everything in this store! I purchased two plants a year ago that are THRIVING and I just bought another one today. The staff clearly cares about their jobs and making sure that you leave with the perfect plant for your lifestyle and needs (I tend to do well with hearty plants so they spend time helping me pick out what works best). Their selection of pottery is out of this world! So many beautiful gifts to buy like candles and scents to brighten up your space. Truly a gem!

You never know what whimsical shop you encounter as you travel along East Ohio St on the North-side. This is not only a flower shop but a gift shop as well with things ranging from tea towels, candles, nail polishes, soaps, cards,tote bags, herbs, books, beauty oils, and even granite stones! The owner who comes from Lawrenceville was charming and helpful as I inquired about some of the plants they had. This is a full service florist but I was amazed at the different types of plants and cactus es they had. I wanted to buy one of them but sadly I learned that most of them require a lot of sunlight (not the right time of year for that). She did point out a few to me that required less sunlight but they weren't as pretty as the ones I had examined. Everything in store is local sourced and supports small businesses. The plants come from different farms and you can interchange the pots if you don't like the one it is sitting in. I really was taken in by the fact that some of these plants had a beautiful and very different look to them. The owner took the time to explain how large a plant I looked at would grow as well as instructions for upkeep. This is a charming shop to visit even if you aren't buying anything. You can easily get lost with the selection of merchandise they carry. On a nice day you can even see plants outside the building! Located across the street from Arnold's tea, metered street parking is available.

I was so happy to finally visit the shop when I dropped by this past week to do some shopping. The store has so many unique and beautiful items. You could find a gift here for anyone here and even my husband found a couple of things that he really liked. I purchased a pre-made bouquet to have in our home for Christmas and while it is stunning it was also reasonably priced. I felt that some of the items in the store were a little pricey but understand that small businesses need the support, especially during this time. The Farmer's Daughter Flowers is truly a gem and I'm so happy that we have this wonderful store in Pittsburgh!

If I enjoyed The Farmer's Daughter in it's previous modest location, I ADORE it since they relocated across the street to a space 3 times the size! The new space serves them well, and you can tell tremendous detail was paid to the layout. I'm very lucky to live so nearby, because this place has been an excellent resource for gifts for friends, myself, my boyfriend, myself, family, acquaintances, and also, MYSELF. Each object in the shop seems perfectly curated to the Farmer's Daughter. You just can't go wrong with any of the treasures in this gorgeous boutique!

FD is in my neighborhood and I have been in the shop several times. It truly is something unique! They have a wide variety of knick knacks, accessories and obviously flowers galore. I will say I don't go in often because it's quite pricey (especially for being located in the north side). A small bouquet of flowers that I purchased for a friend's 35th birthday was $35. 2 recommendations for this place; please dust your items more frequently and also put price tags on more of your items. Sticker shock is never fun :). Otherwise, truly a delightful little shop!

I've been wanting to come to this flower shop for some time! And man oh man did they not disappoint. I pretty-ordered my flowers for Mother's Day ( as they asked for on their Instagram page) which makes sense being that it's a busy holiday for flowers. They told me to choose my price point which was nice being that they make custom bouquets rather than a preset menu. I showed up in the morning to get my bouquets and they were both breathtaking. I just wanted something small and beautiful. Something a little different than what you get normally at a florist or grocery store and they were right on point. Not to mention, they were so friendly and pleasant for how busy they were, that certain doesn't go unnoticed! I will be getting all my flowers here from now on!

Living in LA I ordered birthday delivery flowers for my sister in law through the website and the delivery was on time and gorgeous! So thankful to have found a great place in Pittsburgh with beautifully diverse seasonal bouquets.

Yes, they have an amazing instagram (how I found them in the first place), BUT, you have to go. Went for a cocktails + herbs class as a birthday gift and it was such a wonderful experience. Paul, hubs to THE farmer's daughter, was awesome. Super funny, informative, and passionate about what he was teaching. Two great drinks, plus recipes, AND we walked away with a planter pot that will last me several recipes of herbs! (If all goes well, hopefully longer!) Also browsed the store before and after, and ended up buying a plant and pot as well. Lauren was so kind, enthusiastic, and helpful when it came to picking out something I'm hoping I won't be able to kill... haha. Great spot for not only potted house plants and flowers (which are GORGEOUS), but those cute little gifts you might need in a pinch - necklaces, earrings, soaps, lotions, tote bags, cards.

This is a GEM and a destination store. Yes, I live in the neighborhood and am elated to have this store here. I used to travel to Lawrenceville to grab gifts for special birthdays or holidays but no more. The Farmer's Daughter has an amazing selection of flowers, plants, and boutique gifts / housewares. I've even directed my husband to buy gifts for me there. He went there on Valentines Day and the wonderful owner helped to create the perfect flower bouquet. We love yinz!!!! Much love!!!

Wow... I've been looking for a flower shop like this and finally found it here in Pittsburgh... to imagine it's only been a few blocks from my apartment! I was immediately greeted by the staff and they helped me pick out a perfect bouquet that I was gifting someone am for dinner tonight... Highly recommend checking this place out and supporting your local farmers at the same time!

I gave this place a try and little did I know it would be the best flower shop in Pittsburgh! The bouquet arrangement was made at the very last second for a dinner party I was putting together. I gave the ladies at the Farmer's daughter a call and they designed a perfect centerpiece for this special event. I am accustom to receiving flower arrangements that have: old flowers, carnations, beat up roses etc...but not here. The flower arrangements Had the most variety of flowers that I've ever seen! They were super fast and incredibly courteous, what more could you ask for?! I will definitely be doing business here again soon. Pictures coming soon!

What a charming flower and gift shop!!! So much to look at from gift cards, wooden coasters, handmade items.. perfect shop for gifts. I purchased a birch tree inspired wreath.. that I fell in love with. The prices are what you would expect from a novelty gift shop but this store is more than it.. its no doubt charming and not your average Hallmark Gift and Card Shop. I will no doubt be back to visit..

Love this flower shop! I found The Farmer's Daughter when I was looking for a florist for my wedding. Lauren, the owner, is extremely kind and a joy to be around - plus she is insanely talented! The flowers for my wedding were absolutely gorgeous and I could not be more pleased. Plus the shop is adorable! It's small but one of those places you could easily walk around for an hour just looking at everything. Next time I need flowers I know I'll come here - I always love supporting a local business, and The Farmer's Daughter is a great asset to Pittsburgh and the North Side!

My best friend's birthday is in February and I wanted to send her some flowers to brighten her day. As someone who cares about sustainability , I did a bit of research on sustainable flower shops in the Pittsburgh area and absolutely fell in love with Lauren's arrangements. I was happy to learn that she grows a portion of the flowers herself and sources locally the best she can. I chose the Petite Floral Arrangement and wasn't entirely sure what to expect because the picture is not indicative of the actual flowers in the arrangement since arrangements are made with seasonal flowers. Nonetheless, I made the order and my best friend was delighted with her arrangement. She said they were so beautiful and even said she didn't want to unwrap them. They came in a vase that was wrapped carefully with paper, velvet ribbon and a cute little note card. After she sent me a picture, I agreed--they were gorgeous; it was a mix of orange, white and fuchsia flowers. The Farmer's Daughter Flowers outdid themselves. Highly recommend!!

WOW! Lauren is sooo incredibly talented. I got my bridal bouquet from her and gave her just a few "inspiration pics" and she created something WAY more beautiful and special than I could have dreamed of. She was very sweet and kind to work with and her husband personally delivered the bouquet to my house. He was even kinder! I would most definitely recommend The Farmer's Daughter Flowers to anyone. I'm so in love with this place! You will get the cheeriest greeting ever, and just feel good shopping here! Not only are you shopping local, but you're going to find some real treasures here. I like the combo of home goods, jewelry, stationary and plants. I bought my mom and mother-in-law plants here for Mother's Day and they were both so happy with them. My mom got explicit directions on how to keep the plant alive (it was a plant she'd never owned before), and even called in after and got answers on up-keep via phone too. Clearly, service is number one for them! You can find the perfect gift for someone here and of course, find something for yourself. Let's face it, I'm not walking in here without buying myself a lil' somethin' somethin' either!

Such a beautiful little place. This California girl wishes she could have walked away with a plant, but since travel didn't permit I opted for a cute little "Yinz" bangle instead. Maybe one day I'll get to be a regular customer

What sets them apart, to me, is the communication and level of partnership that comes with working with this company. Highly recommend working with these lovely floral artists on your next event or a treat to brighten up someone's day (even your own).

The Farmer's Daughter did the flowers for my wedding two years ago and it was amazing!! Lauren, the owner, is super fun and creative. She ran with my ideas but was also really respectful of the vision I had. The designers here are really top notch! Not to mention their shop is one of the happiest, cutest places in all of North Side. I usually go in a buy nice little trinkets for each of my family members aroun Christmas. It's not the cheapest place, but they offer really high quality floral work and really unique items in their store that often come for local/independent vendors. Support this awesome small business! We need more places like this especially on E. Ohio street!!

The best floral shop I've ever been in. The owner was there when I first went in. She was so sweet and helpful to me, and made me a custom bouquet for my budget, right there on the spot. The bouquet was beautiful, and I ended up buying two plants. She helped me pick out pots for both and informed me on how to care for them. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful little shop :)

My daughter got her wedding flowers here and they were phenomenal!! They looked like they were fresh picked from a garden not bundled into a big ball. Look no further for your flowers!! I will go back to The Farmers Daughter every time!!

This floral shop is so cute!! I've heard great things about this place so I stopped in here with a coworker and it really exceeded my expectations since I didn't really know what to expect. I'm not one to get flowers often but this place is much more than just flowers. When walking in, I honestly expected a typical floral shop with nothing but flowers. However, the Farmer's Daughter Flowers is also a gift shop with really cute knick knacks. It has a boutique-like feel. They sell small selections of decorations for the home, jewelry, textiles, candles and even bath and body. In terms of flowers, they have pre-made bouquets for about $30 and of course you can also make your own. The service was great; the two workers immediately greeted us and they were willing to answer any questions we had. They even gave us different suggestions for how to use certain items in the store other than its intended purpose. Overall, I really liked this shop and I definitely plan to come back, even if I'm not looking to buy any flowers.

Can't recommend Lauren and the rest of the team at the Farmer's Daughter enough. I used them for my wedding and our flowers were gorgeous-- people are still talking about them! On top of it all, Lauren is so friendly, professional, and easy to work with. She consulted closely with us about what we were looking for and made sure that our floral arrangements felt like us. Plus, I loved that some of our flowers were grown by Lauren herself. And, the Farmer's Daughter isn't just for wedding flowers. They have great gifts and special flowers for everyday. Always happy to support such a great local business.

BEWARE PROSPECTIVE WEDDING CLIENTS - I can only speak to their transparency with prospective clients in my review: I emailed The Farmer's Daughter to inquire about their services and included the date of my wedding in my initial correspondence. In response, I received an email requesting that I complete a rather lengthy survey. I completed the survey which requires a great deal of info including uploaded images of floral arrangements. I completed this with the idea that the effort I put into the survey would contribute to services rendered. The day after emailing my completed survey, I received a response that they were "booked to capacity" on my wedding day despite me having shared the date of my wedding in my initial email. I strongly suspect that they declined my request based upon the fact that my order was minimal as opposed to being "booked to capacity" since they knew the date of my wedding up-front. Being declined service is completely acceptable if done so in a transparent and honest manner and not in a way that wastes a prospective client's time. I am very disappointed with lack of professionalism demonstrated by The Framer's Daughter.
