"There are few things more confusing to Londoners than the concept of a farm. Stick a man in a cow costume, get him to run around on any bit of greenery north of Brent Cross, and within an hour you’d have a line of Upper Street residents willing to pay 20 quid for a visit. Someone at Farm Girl clearly recognised this, because this Notting Hill cafe is doing very well for itself. This is an ideal healthy breakfast and brunch spot for a catch-up over a salad." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

"Farm Girl is one of those places where the menu reads sort of like a haiku entitled ‘Vitamins Are Our Friends’. We’re talking cacao nibs, toasted sesame, ginger, cardamom, candy beetroot, dragon fruit, and açaí bowls. But amid all of the herbs and hibiscus, you’ll find dishes like cherry pancakes and spicy fish tacos that are completely gluten-free. Follow up brunch at the Australian cafe with a casual stroll around Portobello Market. You sophisticate you. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Sinead Cranna

"Notting Hill is one of London’s prettiest neighbourhoods, and one of the best choices for brunch in Notting Hill is Farm Girl. This café goes all-in on the Aussie healthy eating up to the point where you might find yourself eating “coconut bacon.” That’s not something we would typically condone, but we actually find all of the food here to be quite good. And we’re not the only ones - Farm Girl is pretty much always mobbed." - rianne shlebak

"Farm Girl is a great spot for anyone who either loves brunch and/or knows what the hell antioxidants are. As well as serving things like acai bowls, gluten-free granola, and Things That Taste Good With Coriander, this ever popular, kind of healthy spot also does pancakes. But not just any pancakes. No, we’re talking strawberry pancakes with greek yoghurt and coconut shavings, or their signature sour cherry compote pancakes with cacao nibs and maple syrup. Although this Notting Hill cafe tends to be absolutely mobbed at the weekend, it’s just the place for pancakes with a difference, a smoothie, and some 10/10 dog watching. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Rianne Shlebak

"Farm Girl goes all-in on the Australian healthy-eating thing for the Notting Hill crowd, but you should also know that the whole health thing here actually comes with some very good food attached. Monday through Wednesday in August, everything from the oat milk latté and flat white through to açai bowls, vegan donuts, and the excellent salads and sandwiches are half price (up to £10 per person). And if Notting Hill’s a bit of a trek, they also have branches in Fitzrovia, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, and Soho." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
