"This proudly run, welcoming bistro is set in the heart of the city and dates from the 15C; sit on the ground floor with its barrel-fronted bar or in the intimate vaulted brick cellar. Modern menus showcase the best of the Irish larder and generously-sized dishes are assured, refined and full of flavour." - Michelin Inspector

Everett’s in Waterford was the perfect spot for our New Year’s Eve dinner. From the warm, welcoming staff to the cozy yet elegant atmosphere, everything felt just right for the occasion. The food was the highlight. My starter—a crab dish with mango and cucumber—was light and refreshing, while the venison main was tender and flavorful, paired with rich sides like black pudding and creamy mash. Dessert, a parfait with poached pear and custard, was the perfect sweet finish. The wine list was well-curated, and the staff were great at helping us find the perfect pairing. Overall, Everett’s delivered a relaxed yet refined dining experience, making it a great choice for a special night out.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant. The food is fantastic, price was very good for 3 course menu €40.00 I thought portions were a little bit small, but we were very full after dinner. Staff were nice and friendly,. We had a lovely evening. The only thing I wasn't impressed - leggings on one staff member. Places like this, should have proper uniform.

Arrived on a Saturday night and the place was busy. Sat downstairs which is fantastically atmospheric. The food was excellent quality and well priced. The staff were attentive and always on hand. My biggest praise goes to the fact that our table was booked for 7pm and we were not rushed out to make way for someone else. Loved this place and would definitely be back.

Great little spot in Waterford. The venue is small and cosey. The wood, exposed brick and terracotta style colour combined with the dim lighting gives a warm vibe. The service are extremely friendly, knowledgable of the menu and can have a bit of banter. The dishes were well portioned, presented really well and tasted amazing. Extremely reasonably priced especially when compared with Dublin and the quality is just as good. Would recommend the monkfish and would definitely go back! Thanks again!

Let's start with the fact that Michelin stars primarily reflect the assessment of cuisine: it encompasses the quality of ingredients, the intricacies of preparation, the harmonious blend of flavors, the chef's originality, and the presentation of dishes. However, they can also take into account factors such as the level of service, wine selection, service quality, atmosphere, and interior. So, what did the restaurant earn its star for? Perhaps for the ambiance of an old pub? Or for utterly ordinary service? Maybe for extraordinary dishes? For me, it was the most disappointing restaurant visit. The dishes were so mediocre and uninspiring that I regretted spending our money. The scallops were cooked in reused oil, which was very evident. The second dish was just steamed fish, so bland that I wanted to ask for Heinz ketchup to add some flavor. It was served on a spinach cushion that was overcooked and soggy. Look at the appearance of these dishes, is this really Michelin quality? My dessert tasted like a regular store-bought cookie. What was delicious was the ice cream. Oh, I almost forgot. The complimentary bread had such a tough crust on the dark bread (probably with flax seeds or something) that, despite my strong teeth, I was concerned about them. It's absurd. I wouldn't recommend it. Can high-quality food really lead to indigestion the next morning? My husband and I didn't feel well. Ireland is a beautiful country, but if you want to enjoy a delicious meal, I suggest going home and cooking or booking a plane ticket elsewhere.

Exceptional experience at Everett's that, in our opinion, outperforms its status. The homemade brown bread is the finest we have had and we are still talking about it a few days later. For starters, the scallops were delicate and perfectly cooked. The monkfish, beef shoulder and cod mains were all exceptional and worth a return visit to try again. The staff was top notch, attentive and friendly. We highly recommend making a stop in Waterford to enjoy a dinner here.

Definitely a high point when we recently visited Waterford City. As a walk-in we were accommodated straight away, people we spoke to afterwards were amazed as normally they are fully booked in advance. Being a Tuesday was a big advantage... Geraldine looked after us so well, "the hostess with the mostest" made the whole dining experience more enjoyable. The food was fantastic and wine delicious, highly recommend for that special occasion.

Yelp
I almost rated this place a four out of five, because the service was somewhat slow towards the end of our experience, but the food went beyond what I've sampled at Michelin one and two star restaurants. The Duncannon Smoked Salmon, Gribiche and Fennel appetizer was the finest combination of freshness, with each accenting the other perfectly. The cod with Jerusalem artichokes was also perfectly divine, and had got to be one of my favorite preparations of cod ever. The sample of Irish cheeses closed the meal for me on the right note. Honestly, anyone on Waterford should try this place out - truly an incredible culinary experience! If they fix some of the service slowness, Michelin one star is within their reach!

Yelp
One of the best meals I've ever had. The service and food are meticulously crafted. Great care and elegance! My wife and I had a three course meal that will be remembered for some time. Every dish is perfectly complemented with the ingredients. It is a perfect balance of flavors. The staff was also amazing.

Yelp
Wow! This restaurant is a real stunner. Beautiful food, wonderful staff, delicious wine and such a great venue! The cellar downstairs gives a real feeling of the history of the building while still being cosy and romantic, and upstairs is bright and airy but still so warm and inviting. The menu is the real hero here though, food is classic but modern and the atmosphere so relaxed. At no point do you ever feel like you shouldn't laugh out loud or put an elbow on the table. I very much look forward to my next visits. Plural.
