"Since 1936, the iconic Elwood’s Art Moderne architecture and central location have made it the go-to meeting spot on game day. Warm wood furnishings, solid Bloody Mary and beer options, and a killer view of Comerica Park next door help explain why the Elwood was so beloved it was picked up and moved in 1997 to make way for the baseball park." - Serena Maria Daniels

"Drink in History in the Shadow of Comerica Park Elwood Bar and Grill now lies in the shadow of Comerica Park on Adams but it was built in 1936 by Charles Noble at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Woodward Avenue. Moved in 1997 to make way for the new Tigers stadium (Comerica Park) it was and still is downtown Detroit's most recognizable art deco diner. Now restored following its move, it is the premier place for sports fans, history buffs, couples, singles, and anyone looking for a good time to hang out on game day or any other day of the year. Its proximity to Comerica Park and Ford Field (the latter is where the Lions play), also makes it ideal both for pre- and post-game enjoyment. A recently expanded menu also makes it a great place not just to drink, but also to eat."

Visited this establishment a few hours prior to a Lions vs Bills football game. The atmosphere was great. There is not a lot of seating but patrons didn't mind standing to be served their favorite drink. Food was served outside which I thought was weird but their system works to get people served quickly. The burgers were "real burgers" not filler meat. The drinks were good and it was a great place to stay warm and get ready for the game. I gave it 1 star for food only because the food was outside in the cold and they only took cash. Although the place was crowded the waitress was somehow attentive to everyone. The location is great-right across the street from the stadium entrance.

We loved this place! Great location and great service. We went on a super busy and extremely hot day. There was a baseball game plus the Taylor Swift Concert. The servers were all wearing Taylor Swift merch. The music was Taylor Swift music. I thought this was such a great place to bring my daughter too. The servers were very patient and friendly. I didn't feel rushed and they kept coming by to check in on us for drinks and all. The food was really good also. We ordered a veggie burger and a beef burger. She said the coke was unlimited refills, this was cool! The vibe of this place was so cool. Although it was swarming with people, it was still clean, even the busy bathrooms downstairs were very clean. The outdoor patio was very pretty, busy but well tended too. There was a long line up to get in but that was expected due to everything going on there. This is definitely a great place to enjoy a meal and a drink.

Rita and Kim were great bartenders it’s just upsetting to be right across the street from the Tigers stadium and don’t have access to fan duel sports/bally sports. Fans come down for the experience right next to the stadium and if they can’t get that with no broadcast, they’re losing money.

Google
I had bad experience going there last year, the security guard was extremely rude. I thought I would try one more time to go last night. I understand they are busy. I patiently waited for my turn to get drinks. She was getting everyone’s drink and skipping me. I politely said “excuse me”. She gave me a look and said loudly and rude , “I see you! You just have to wait!” If you see me and I am first in line then why would you not help me? All she has to say is I will be with you shortly but she cannot do that. They have the rudest people working in there. The only thing they have is because they are next to Ford field. I will never go back. You don’t treat customers like that. There are plenty of bars I can go to with great service and good drinks.

Excellent experience. Our server; Christina, was so nice & happy. We had the Chicago dog/fries. Hot dog had good quality meat.

Went before the Tiger Game. The other place was TOO LOUD!! and sat a table for 10 minutes and nobody said boo to us. Great service, Great food, Great way to have a meal and talk to friends before a game! Thank You!!!!

Google
What a great spot to enjoy a couple adult beverages before a Lions or Tigers game. Coming in from out of town for the 3rd or 4th year in a row to catch a Lions game and have never had anything but friendliness and great service. Best location in Detroit being literally right in between Comerica and Ford.

Nicholas Shemes

Google
Went in 09/01 after the tigers game with 6 people. We sat against the back windows where one side is a booth and the other side is a chair. We all sat down and pushed the tables together, literally 2 inches from where they already were, and the girl behind the bar yells in front of the rest of the people in the restaurant, “Don’t move the tables they are close enough.” It was a complete joke. All 6 of us got up and left and went to Hockey Town where they pulled 2 chairs to a 4 person table to accommodate.

Yelp
Wow. I haven't reviewed Elwood's? Crazy. Elwood is a very convenient location when attending events at Ford Field or Comerica Park. It is located right across from both of them and it's connected to the parking garage. Now, you're going to pay about $40 to park there, but to me it's worth it. You don't have to park there of course but it's super convenient. They have a small indoor area and a patio area. They get very busy so plan to get there early! They have live music at times as well. When there have been really big games, they have taken over one of the parking garage levels and brought in porta potties and big screens to watch the game on. Honestly, that was one of my favorite times there. The food is typical. Nothing super amazing but it's good. Great place to meet up with people who may drive separately. Just get there early or you'll never get a table. Enjoy!

Gjovana V.

Yelp
the food was just okay for how expensive it was. we got a sandwich and a quesadilla, 2 drinks, around $80 with tip. okay if you want the convenience of its location but there's better options for cheaper around the corner.

Austin K.

Yelp
Love the location of this place! Very reasonable priced food especially so close to comerica and ford field. Service was really good and the food came out quick. I just got the chicken fingers, which were amazing, but other people in my party raved about the chicken blt sandwich!

Bre D.

Yelp
I'm still sitting here and couldn't wait to put up a review! It's opening weekend so it's busy but our waiter is great. Very attentive and sweet. And this is probably the best burger I've had in years. This is my first time here and I'll definitely be back!

Nicole E.

Yelp
I can't say I've ever eaten here. But I've had many a beers here. This to me a place that epitomizes opening day for me. If I go to an opening day, this is where I have to be. Before and after games, this place is busting out. I can get so crowded in here, but you can feel the energy and the righteousness from the pregame excitement. I was first introduced to this place when I was in college. It's been a regular place to go to every opening day. However, that seems to be the same for so many others. It's always a good time here and the beer is flowing. Lots of laughs and people and chatter.

Yelp
2019-09-12. Elwood Bar & Grill. Superiorly located on Adams at the corner of Brush St., Elwood Bar & Grill is right in between Comerica Park and Ford Field. With the GEM parking structure directly behind them, they offer validated parking to their customers on non-game days. During game days, parking is $20 cash only, paid upfront. There are several surface lots at half the price, all within a block away. Inside the place is small and tight. There is bar seating and tables for small parties. Outside, they have a large patio with picnic tables and patio umbrellas. The picnic tables seat 6 comfortably or 8 at a tight fit. We were 20, so we spanned over three tables with 8 at mine. Their menu is limited consisting mainly of pub fare. Burgers, wings, hoagies, chicken fingers, and the like. We were there prior to the double header with the Yankees, and the place was packed! I wanted to keep the meal quick and simple, so I went with the lamb burger. Lamb Burger. The meal came with fries, a pickle spear, tzaziki, and two small slices of watermelon. The Burger was topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, and a block of feta cheese to complement the tzaziki and completing the Greek theme. It took a while for our meals to come and they missed mine. When I brought it to our servers attention, she told me that it would be a few minutes more. This pretty much confirmed to me that the order was not placed with the others. Tick tock, tick tock. The rest of my party had finished their meals and mine was still a no-show. I was flagging down our server to have her cancel my order, but when she came, lo and behold, she had my burger. Um, about 20 minutes late... By now it was 10 minutes before 1st pitch. Not wanting to make a scene in front of everyone in my party, I politely asked that she pack it to go so I can bring it to my car as it was game time... I guess I'd need to eat some game park fare. Breakfast consisted of a coffee and my growling stomach made a conscious effort at reminding me. By the time I reached my vehicle, I succumbed to the growls, and decided I'd wolf down just a few bites to tide me over. I'm not sure how much the hunger pangs influenced my tastebuds, but the burger was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked to a perfect medium and there was only a slight gaminess to it to let you know it was Venison. It was way juicier than expected for lamb, so I'm pretty certain it was mixed with some beef (which must have also parried some of the gaminess). The feta and raw onion were actually excellent complements, adding both flavour and texture. The fries were between shoestring and regular cut with the skin on. They were a bit soggy when I got to them but I imagine they would be deliciously crispy had the heat from the carryout box not suffocate them. 5 stars for the burger, 1 Star for the service (I don't care how busy you are, if you took an order, you should have placed it with the kitchen). 3 stars overall. If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Yelp
This is a staple place in the Detroit sports area. Whenever we go to a Tigers, Lions, Red Wings or Pistons game this is where we start out first. We have come to know the staff and it's a joy to see them everytime. The beer is cold and much cheaper than the stadium prices. If you're hungry grab yourself some chicken tenders; you can't go wrong. See you next game!

Frank B.

Yelp
Slowest place in Detroit. Took an hour just to be served drinks. Food took even longer. Good and drinks were bad tho

Stewart S.

Yelp
The babies in the window are screaming and I want to go home. Forgive the flashback. This is a cool corner restaurant with a cool beer selection and decent burgers and such. It's classy. It's relatively cheap considering the location...right across from Tigers Comerica park. Get here early and grab a nosh before the game. Better and cheaper than the food at the game. Also, the bar was established in the 30s (you'll look love the art deco bar) and it has a sense of history. They moved the place in the late 90s. I love what the area is becoming. God bless the old and new. Hail Elwood. And hail the thing growing under my car. Aieeh aieeh

Amy B.

Yelp
I love Elwood bar and grill! I stumbled in here before an event at Comerica Park, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Place is decorated so cute, and there's plenty of seating at the bar. Granted, there was a line out the door, but overall I had a good meal here. I didn't want to wander to far away from Comerica, so I chose here because I thought it would be good. After a short (15 minute) wait, I was finally seated and greeted by my server. She was so pleasant despite this place being packed! I reviewed the menu and went with a burger, which was quite tasty. I didn't want to much food since I knew it was hot outside and I didn't want to get sleepy. This place is refreshing for downtown. Not a brewery for once, or full of drunks. I don't know where you would park if it wasn't for a game at Comerica, but I really enjoyed my experience here. they seem to have a full bar and an awesome patio!!! I also liked the variety of people here, which really was nice. Some old, some young, familes and the such. Not all one type. If I was down here again for a game or whatnot, I would gladly return. Great menu and prices were fair.

Pam T.

Yelp
Came here one day for lunch the other day with co-workers during a non peak time of the day. This place is pretty popular around the summertime being next door to Comerica Park so I never got to poke my head in before (its packed for Tigers games). Staff was friendly and prompt on refills. Some of my co-workers rave about the burgers, which is what they are known for, however, I am not a burger person so I got the Italian sub sandwich. It was similar to your typical deli style sandwich, wasn't bad but wasn't great. The sandwich is served with fries and is fairly large, but I don't think it was worth $13. Perhaps I will need to come back and try one of their burgers.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Mean staff. Called the bar before a wings game and they said they were open...we showed up a couple minutes later and bartender yelled we are closed...I think this is an awesome spot and I am sure a tough job to bartender....I just don't think you should yell at people that are coming in to spend money at your establishment.

Yelp
Recently, some old work colleagues and I ate at the Elwood before a Tiger game. I had scouted out the menu in advance to ensure that there were veg options for me other than fries and beer. There were. I had a decent portabella mushroom burger with garlic aioli. I added the aforementioned fries (curly, slightly greasy but not bad) and coleslaw (average but I've had worse). I also noticed a black bean burger and several interesting non-veg items on the menu. Though its food is somewhat smarter than the average bar, it's location and atmosphere that make the Elwood shine. It is literally on a corner across the street from both Ford Field and Comerica Park (good trick). Before a ballgame, both the outdoor patio and indoor room buzz with conversation, clinking glasses and flatware on plates. I wish that I could give 3.5 stars to the Elwood. Its pretty OK food, great location and average service coalesce there. However, the game-day atmosphere tips the rating to 4 and, since that's when many will go there, that's where I'm going to leave it.

Jerico L.

Yelp
Wost service ever. I'm normally a 30% tipper Not tonight. Horrible service. Sucked sucked sucked.

Alex T.

Yelp
This pace is literally right next to Comerica Park and Ford Field. It's interesting, because you would expect it to be covered with sports stuff on the inside when really it isn't. It really has that Art Deco feel to it everywhere. It's a very unique place. I had a burger and it was excellent.

Vilija T.

Yelp
Rita, our waitress outside; who was also training a new girl. Rita, was on top of her customers. No complaints about the service. Prices for food & beverages? Different story; then again, less than inside Comerica. I'd recommend for pre-game.

Lisa W.

Yelp
The Elwood is a really great place to check out because it happens to be a historic building in Detroit -- when you look at it, that's not replica Art Deco! It was designed and built in the 1930's and recently restored. This is a great spot for Detroit sports fans because it is near Comerica Park. I stopped in here once with a date to grab some beers during a Piston's playoff game (though this is more of a spot for Tigers fans) and remember really loving the interior. The food is mostly sandwiches and burgers, all between $5-$7. I had their hot dog and it was no joke -- total Angus beef yumminess.

Jamie S.

Yelp
This is a great place to get pre-game burger and drinks. The foods is AWESOME. The service is great, but if you come for a meal right before a game, you need an extra 15-20 minutes, because they will be packed wall-to-wall. My only complaint is that they don't take reservations. I highly recommend!

Dan M.

Yelp
We went here for lunch one day since I work downtown and always looking for different places to go. It was a quick walk from the office and the place was relatively empty for a big lunch hour. I went with the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. A nicely deep fried chicken breast, mayo, and pickles. Side of fries with vinegar on the table to douse the in. That always makes me happy. I really enjoyed the food. The service was very friendly - just a little bit slow. Good thing it was a Friday and we weren't in much of a hurry. I'll definitely keep this one in my pocket for future workday lunches.

Ashley F.

Yelp
I've had a few nice lunches here... but I've also gotten food poisoning on two separate occasions. Not a good ratio! It's very convenient when you're at Ford Field or Comerica Park... so I get it... but when there isn't a game in town, the place doesn't get much business, so I have to believe that their inventory isn't super fresh. If you're there for a game, your odds are much better. Perhaps time your visit accordingly.

Ricky J.

Yelp
It's a classic style bar and grill. I went here last summer, I plan to go again! This place isn't very big, it's usually busy, it's a great place for sports fans to grab a bite and head to the game. The food is very good, the price is fair. The service isn't speedy, but it's a small bar & grill. Expect service to be about average. However the food is worth the wait. I tried the "montycristo." I highly recommend it. The sandwiches are good, I think the have burgers (i've only been there once). When you ask for a beer, they give you the can! I give this place a 4 star because the food is awesome, the staff could be better and the look on the inside is cool. Whether it be a lions, tigers or wings game, it's right there in downtown Detroit. Its nostalgic inside, the roof right above your head is really cool.

Amber H.

Yelp
Staff is amazing! Very attentive and friendly. Great place. Went for a few beers before the game and were greeted right away. Once we were seated the waiter came and took our order quickly. Had my baby with us and the staff doted all over him and one even gave him a tip!

Stefanie P.

Yelp
This bar is 50 yards from Ford Field and 50 yards from Comerica Park. So, i'm teling you, if you going to stop here for a 'pre lions/tigers' game drink you will be annoyed with the mass amount of people. It's packed with sports goers. Outside is prime real estate inside looks like old diner/bar type feel. Not too much stuff on the walls, nice big wood bar. There is history to the place where they actually MOVED the whole building from its old location to this super perfect location. Menu was adorable -- Ty Cobb Salad and other baseball themed items. And unique too .. Tilapia Fingers, Chicken Melt, and they have a burger bar part of the menu sorta a build your own. I got beers and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was awesome! Best for beer, food if you have time and be ready to feel a little claustrophobic (or get there early!)

Jon B.

Yelp
Relatively cheap beers, friendly staff, great spot to hang before or after a Tiger's game This place has a lot of history and is a gem in the heart of Detroit. Food is fair to good, comes out quick. Show up early to games to grab seats. Though there is pretty good turnover, most people grab a round or two and jet. So don't dismay if it's packed, just wait a few.

Tiphanii M.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic lunch! We came here for lunch after a tour at Comerica Park. My husband said his burger was one of the best he's ever had. My picky son loved their chicken fingers. I had a chicken wrap that was great. Their fries are fresh cut and homemade, very yummy! It's a great place that we would come back to!

Robin C.

Yelp
I've been to this establishment at least 10 or 15 times and always enjoyed myself......BUT....On Sunday 9/24/17 I actually patronized you twice! Before the game and after...but after the game due to an employee named Elizabeth Markim (? spelling)...I had the worst experience of my life.... she was working behind the bar around 4 O'clock.... She was extremely rude, utterly disrespectful, just down right nasty. And from what others say, she's like this alot to customers. Please address this employee, inform her...and instruct her that good Customer Service is key! And Social media is KING!!! This won't be the last time you hear from me......this is just the beginning!

Mike A.

Yelp
I love this place. I have never been there, however unless it is for a Lions or Tiger's game. Before every single Lion's game my wife and I go here for a drank or two. Actually, this is the location that I finally grew a pair and asked her beautiful self out many moons ago :) This bar has a great location, and is usually a zoo before games. A lot of fans of all shapes sizes, religions races and creeds gather here to celebrate the victory of Detroit Lions or Tigers. They have $5.00 bud lights and budweisers before the Lions games. Doesn't sound like a great deal until you go inside of Ford Field and are charged 9.00 for the exact same thing. Their shots aren't cheap either, but they give you a decent amount of booze serve in a plastic cup. I have never had their food, but that isn't really what I go there for. It's always a good time at the Elwood Bar

Shirley S.

Yelp
Would not go there again, even if it the last place to go and eat. A friend and I went there and we ordered the nacho app and shared. She ordered the chicken tenders and I ordered something else. We got our entrees and I didn't really care for mine. She took one bite into her chicken tenders and said that it tasted funky. I tried a piece and agreed. I asked the waitress if the chicken tenders had been marinated and she said yes in Frank's Hot Sauce. You would think that they would not marinate the chicken tenders. As many have said, it is at the kitty corner to Comerica Park and Ford Field. If you are willing to deal with the crowd at this place and wait for the lines to dwindle down at either Comerica Park or Ford Field, I would recommend this place. But just not for the food.

Carolyn E.

Yelp
The only thing this place has going for it is its location. I realize it's a diner/sports bar, but there is no excuse for stale chips and cold nachos. They had clearly been sitting for quite a minute before they were brought to the table. I was completely unsatisfied, and the service wasn't good. I guess I'd go back for a drink, but probably not, considering the much better choices available downtown. Detroit "institution" or not, they need to be challenged to create some decent food. Unacceptable. Do not bring people here before the game.

Bob N.

Yelp
Just a short walk from the office and I don't know why I never go here. Well we'll get to that in a second. Went for a burger and fries today, burger was ok not the greatest but ok, would have been much better had the bun not been ice cold. The fries while tasty like Gary L stated were greasy and not crisp, some even undercooked. Hotter oil is needed. I'll give it another shot.

Ken J.

Yelp
Close to the ball park? Open early for tailgating? Overpriced bottles of beer, just a little cheaper THAN the ball park? Yes please. :) The normal bar food list applies here. Greasy hamburgers, fries, sides such as Mac & Cheese and Wings are what you see everyone getting here. If you do go on game day, make sure to go early... there is never enough seating, and unless you want to be fighting with that drunk girl over a picnic table, you might as well save your energy by going early. To be honest, the history of the Elwood is one that is very cherished to any Detroit Tigers fan. They actually MOVED this place from where old Tiger Stadium was, and it now sits next to Ford Field and Comerica Park. Talk about doing anything for their customers. Or, loyal fans!

Sandra B.

Yelp
I have been here a few times now. This is a nice option for a Tiger's pre-game meal. The have a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads as well as a pretty good beer selection. They have a patio and they are adjacent to the Comerica Park ticket windows. I have had salads and burgers - all very delicious. They have a basic fare of cobb salads, bleu burgers, chicken BLTs, tuna melts, patty melts and the like. The good news is that you will pay less for a meal here than you will at Hard Rock or Hockeytown and you will enjoy what you eat. They lost one star because the avacado in my salad tasted way too lemony (soaked in lemon juice).

Kris A.

Yelp
Stopped in for our first "shuttle to the Red Wings" game experience. The place was PACKED when we got there, but the parking was very open. There was a college football game with Marshall in it just ending, but we walked in and got a table with absolutely no wait. The burgers were Extremely good, and the drinks weren't bad either. The people watching was fabulous. The only down side to the experience was that they ended up not validating my parking. That was a letdown, since their website clearly states under the Red Wings portion that they will (they said there is a clause about "not during stadium games", but it's not in the Red Wings area). In any event, it wasn't a bad experience. It can get a bit dark and empty on the return shuttle trip (the Elwood closed at 10:00 that night), and I would have liked to have a snack on our way out, but what can you do. I like the concept, now I guess I'll look at some of the other places offering the same service.

Brenda M.

Yelp
My rating is pretty much centered on the experience, not the food. The food was pretty good, but we just had basic sandwiches and fries. This place is tiny. It's right in the shadow of the stadiums, so it's good for adults that are willing to stand in a huge line before or after the game. I don't think it's a good place to sit and enjoy a meal when it's a game day. You feel so rushed because of the line, it's almost uncomfortable. I walked in with my son after a Tiger game. It was packed, but there is no one working the door, just one girl behind the bar. I wasn't sure if we just grab the first seat, if it was "ok" for us to sit at the bar with a kid...etc. I'm sure it was obvious that we had never been there before and weren't sure what to do. You would think that being located near the parks that the staff would be used to seeing non-regulars that needed a little guidance. We were pretty much left to figure it out, which we did. Like I said, with a crowd at the door, I felt as if everyone was staring us down while we ate. I would go back for drinks when they have the patio open outside, but wouldn't fight the crowd again for just ok food.

Lauren D.

Yelp
Located right between Ford Field and Comerica Park, Elwood is the perfect spot to grab a cold beer and a meal before or after a game. Try a grilled cheese, the chili, or a hot dog-- you won't be disappointed!

George H.

Yelp
Dar x Mar provided excellent service and took really good care of us. It was really nice. Thanks guys!

Pette M.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot to get chili dogs. Their chili is SO FREAKIN GOOD!!!! Its really spicy, just the way I like it, and packed full of flavor. It also has just the right amount of beans/meat. They make a pretty good turkey burger as well.

Tim T.

Yelp
Best dive bar in Detroit. Limited food menu; just the good stuff though. Decent beer selection if you like the basics with a dmattering of microbrews. Overall, its an icon of the city

Suzzette M.

Yelp
Solid burgers! Great atmosphere!! Best place to hang out before or after a game!!!

Nikki C.

Yelp
The Elwood is in walking distance of my workplace, so it's a nice lunch spot when we want to venture out of the bldg. Nice menu -- burgers, salads, fries, onion rings, chicken wings, quesadillas, cole slaw. They used to have a killer mac & cheese. Unfortunately, it's no longer on the menu. It was hit or miss, though -- sometimes, it would be perfect, but on other occasions, it would be greasy and unappetizing. You can't go wrong with their other menu items, though. If it's not a game day, though, the place can be quite the ghost town. That's good for when I want to have a quick lunch and get back to work in time. But for someone who is looking for some hoppin atmosphere, it can be a bit of a buzzkill. That being said, the drink prices are a bit high. They do own glasses, but often serve their drinks in those flimsy solo cups. It's not a place I would visit on a planned bar night where I'm looking to have more than one drink. The Elwood has rich history that's explained on their menu. It's an interesting read. Bonus: They have a nice patio with picnic tables and umbrellas!

Kori Y.

Yelp
Great last minute stop for a beer and a burger before or after the Tigers (or Lions) game. Standard bar food.

Travis P.

Yelp
We were waiting for a tigers game and decided to grab a bite. I had CBLT absolutely delicious. Service was slow but they were busy so it was expected. The price wasent that bad. I probably would go back if I lived in Detroit.

Anthony U.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place a 0. I work in the Downtown area and I'm also in the industry. A group of fellow bartenders and I grab a table and the server greets us. We ask for our drinks and ask if we get a discount because most other bars offer. The comment we got was NO! Which is fine. As she walked away another server joined her at the register which is 5 feet away and they proceeded to talk about us. "They are ignorant to come in here and ask for discounts" the other one said "they should go somewhere else" I turned around and said "are you serious?!" She proceeded to tell me that I was rude to come in here and ask for discounts and that I was ignorant. I couldn't believe someone who is in the industry could talk like that. She told me " you better shut the F**k up talking to me like that. I got up and left she can thank my anger management class that saved her life. Don't ever go here unless you like shitty service than this place is your place.

Yelp
We stopped by Elwood before the Tiger's game. This place really packs them in. We were lucky enough to get a picnic table out front. Service was fast and friend. BJ got a burger and I got a club sandwich. Mine was turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar an cibatta bread with wasabi aoli. My sandwich was so good. Great place to people watch. Also, we shared out table with a couple of locals. Fun visit!

Yelp
Average fair. If you go... The monte cristo is a must! Great location right across the street from Ford Field and Comerica Park. Super busy during game time, service was slow but was expected for this location.

Yelp
The hubs and I were at Ford Field for our daughters marching band competition and left starving. We wanted to get lunch somewhere close. You can't get any closer than Elwood. We had great food and decent service. I have to say it was one of the best Ruebens I've had. It was quick despite the mass amount of people in there. Love the fact that they were open on a Saturday when normally are closed.

Yelp
Elwood is right across from the Detroit Tigers and Lions stadiums. Good food, but a bit loud. Overall great experience!

Yelp
The best part of the Elwood is simply the location. Don't plan on eating here, as the food is not good. Great place to grab a cold can of Bud before a Tiger game though.

Yelp
Had some tasty grub- the homemade soup was just what I was looking for! My wife and I split a sandwich, so nice amount of food for the value.
