Elite Hotel Lausanne

We had nicely size room but not included breakfast. The receptionist is kind and helpful. It's really close to the train station but there are very steep hills or if you go the other way they have 30 -50 stairs. I'm in my 50s and was able to carry a carry-on luggage & a backpack up with 1 break😮‍💨😓

The location is convenient, next to the train station. The rooms are outdated and would need to be modernized. The breakfast was not ready at 7:15 on November 8th, although it should start at 6:30. This is a big problem for people travelling or working.

Incredible hotel to stay at in Lausanne. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. Room was good enough for one night stay, had everything we needed. Breakfast was pretty good selection as well. ❤️

The hotel is close to the Lausanne train station but the way up is a bit steep when carrying luggage. Friendly service and the room was clean, equipped with air conditioning and fridge. Good value for the price.

This would have been a four star review, as the hotel is nicely located, with very friendly staff, a solid breakfast, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The building and furniture are rather old, but everything was working fine. This is, however, a two star review due to an extremely unpleasant and disgusting encounter in the bathroom with a huge centipede (photo attached). It did not help that the hotel staff said that these insects appear in the city and can enter any place at any time, and locals are thus used to it. First of all, I hardly believe that this is normal in Switzerland. Furthermore, in my opinion, the appearance of such large insects in a hotel should never be considered normal, definitely not in Central Europe. I consider it a sign of insufficient cleaning and a lack of measures against insect infestation. The second star is for the positive points mentioned in the beginning, but unfortunately, this hotel has a serious problem with pests.

Clean, friendly, next to the station. Very small room, very narrow bed, not great pillows. Good value for money for the location.

Welcome to the motel Bates. I was going to let this go until I received a bill for breakfast that we were not supposed to be charged. The young man in the front was kind and allowed me to check in a little before 2 p.m. He also mentioned that the breakfast was part reservation when we inquired. However, once I checked in, I was appalled by the lack of décor and ventilation in the room. This place has zero air conditioning or heat. The windows close like jail cells, and the sheer curtains are mosquito nets. There is a fan you can plug in to help with the mosquitos that are still around in October. The towels will exfoliate you the sheets are basic. I called to the front to inquire about ventilation, and both men who came up must have forgotten to wear deodorant.

Great hotel in Lausanne. Clean, central, great price! Staff very welcoming and nice.
