Stop by and simply try the TORTAS DE MILANESA, BURRITOS, TACOS ETC. They have options for everyone. No matter what meat you like, you will enjoy the seasoning. Try their Al Pastor, Suadero, or Cabeza tacos. You won't be disappointed. If ur light on spicy food, order the green sauce, it has a tasteful kick and definitely a great add-on to anything you order. Double check the schedule, but FRI, SAT & SUN they are open 24 hrs! *If you're vegeterian just order a rice and beans burrito with onios cilantro and green sauce. Trust me, you will go back for it. You will find it tasteful even without meat!

The place looks appealing small the burrito for the price is a disappointment i had better carnitas burrito there was like a two onces of meat and it was dry for carnitas mostly beans and rice the chips are store bought not coming back or recommending them. I was told to come and try it. The red salsa is good

They were mad just because I asked for an extra salsa. The lady must left her problems at home and come to work with a better attitude... plenty of options for get your tacos in LA to deal with this incompetent people.

We wanted Mexican food. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was at King taco. From the parking lot, to the entrance and everything on the walls. Then while I ordered I asked the lady I feel like this is King Taco and she said it pretty much was. However we got the chicken quesadillas and my daughter raved about it. We asked to get guacamole when we ordered and the lady advised that it came with a small cup. However when we got our food it wasn't there. Apparently you MUST ask for it or they don't give it to you. They did give it to me, but it was frustrating to have to go and ask. I got two tacos and found the corn tortillas to be a little hard. Normally they dip the tortillas in oil and it appeared to have been missing that extra grease because they were not moist like king taco. We got Al pastor burritos with all meat and added EXTRA meat. My husband loved the burrito so much. He said it was moist compared to King Taco. Same with the carne asada burritos, they were nice and moist. So everything was better except the corn tortillas. Salsa was green and red exactly like King Taco. Look forward to going back.

I used to stop at this place all the time, the barbacoa use to be great, so here we go ... I order the barbacoa plate $18 not enough onions and cilantro, the meat too dry, no flavor, I ask for lemons and she said it doesn't come with it but the lady give me some, the soda $4.00 with no refill???? I think it's time to say goodbye!!!! Not happy with the service either so bye bye!!!! The place not cool enough either!!!!

I came here while visiting LA and I was craving some beed tongue tacos. There was also a good amount of parking in their own private lot which was so convenient! You order your food and they call your order and pickup window number from a microphone. I think the most number of people who can sit at one table is 4. I ordered the tacos and a quesadilla and they really hit the spot of my cravings. The quesadilla did not skimp out on cheese at all either. Came with hot sauce (super hot) and a tiny cup of guac. Delicious! Overall, ordering and getting my order was very straightforward. Service was fine, no issues. I can't speak for larger orders since mine was so small and simple.

This place is actually pretty good. It's really spacious and they have a variety of options from meats to food selections. I tried the Al pastor tacos and quesadilla de al pastor and both were really good. The horchata was decent, not the best I've had but satisfying.

A staple in koreatown. Honestly can say they have the best tacos around town along with king taco. Been coming here since I was in elementary school. Only thing that sucks is that the portions have gotten smaller over the years. Service honestly depends on the time you come. Staff works as fast as they can to get orders out. If you're ever in the area, it's always a good time to get some tacos

OKAY! THE FOOD WAS BOMB AF! IF YOU LIKE KING TACO, COME HERE! I was skeptical on coming here, mostly because most hole in the walls are usually GREAT or terrible. There is never any in between lol. Luckily, this one was great! FOOD: 10/10 Wow, I got the "milensa" and it's basically breaded pork, with 2 sides, and it was AMAZING. It came with avocado on top, beans and rice (I picked both beans) and it was one heck of a meal. It even came with tortillas for a perfect taco, lol. Nachos wee are also really good too! We got them with just cheese, and it was great as is! Service: 10/10 It's fast!!!!!!! They have good organization, because good lord are they speedy !! You wait in line, order, and eat within 15 mins! Haha. Shoutout to my fellow fast Mexicans! Price: 10/10 For the plates- The prices are a bit high, but for what you're getting, you cannot beat it. My plate was $18.00 but it could feed about 3. The nachos were $6? But the nachos from the ice cream man are about $5.50 now! So, winWin!! LOL. All round:10/10 It was clean, food was great, fast service, and they're so nice! I will 100% be back for more!

Tacos are amazing. Street tacos and more. Owned and operated by y King Taco. Delicious Al pastor, asada, buche, and more. Plus they serve beer at this location!

Very good tostadas and tacos, the best red and green salsa. Fridays and Saturdays they close at 3 am. Sundays they close at 1 am.

It's a must if you are in the area.... It's become way too over rated and the staff is so not willing to make special accommodations. They give you 1 salsa for 3 tacos if you request more they make you go pay for it so there you go heading to the line again, if you get a torta they give you the small thing with 2 slices of jalapeños, if you're charging all this money then don't be stingy with the condiments, mind you it's not all the employees that do this, like if it's coming out of their pocket to give you an extra salsa or jalapeños.... The ambiance it's always crowded like I said it's an la landmark. Plenty of parking.

Now thats what I'm talking about. One of the best nachos I've had. The carne asada was very good that day. I got a carne asada burrito too, which was very good. Was a little skinnier than usual, and less onions too but probably because they used it all up from my last visit. Very impressed as always.

Been coming here for years. It's been a go to restaurant for my family. Although I love the food, the meat portion has been ridiculous these past visits. I recently ordered a carne asada burrito and got waaaayyyy more rice than meat (legit hardly any meat!). I don't understand why the prices are going higher but the meat ratio is low AND they charge when you ask for more meat. At least make it make sense.

Good afternoon my name is Adriana I usually use yelp for my great reviews but today I am really upset writing this one. My parents love this place, my father had followed El Taurino since its beginning as a food truck vendor over 45 years ago. Today they visited the restaurant for their morning breakfast dat. They love their consomé. It's definitely their go to every time. Today they had the worst experience. They ordered their consomé and it was spoiled and to top it off the onion with the cilantro rotten. They went to one of the ladies to complain and their answer was "well it's not our fault it's the heat"!! Are you freaking kidding me. Not only they left empty handed but hungry still they didn't even offered a refund! I called to speak with a manager to obtain a refund, and to let them know about the situation that occurred, obviously feeling like they took advantage of my elderly parents. A lady answered and said well the manager is busy and can't come to the phone for your issue you have to contact Mr Francisco. I said great let me have the number please. Guess what!? She hung up on me!! If it was not for the disappointment, and the disrespect my parents who are loyal clients again since the beginnings of this restaurant I would've not taken the time to make this review. But this BAD review I feel is much needed. Hopefully the owner sees it and feels embarrassment for the service, the food and the rude employees he has. Oh and Francisco if you see this contact me my parents are still waiting to be refunded.

LA staple. 3.5 stars. Looking for munchies after a late night of drinking? If you are in the area, this is your place to go. Cheap, affordable and you get what you pay for. They are not amazing but they get the job done. I got the al pastor, carnitas and chorizo tacos and really enjoyed the chorizo one! The green salsa is great but the red one is really spicy so stay away from it if you can't handle spice. I do think it adds a nice kick to the food. My friend said their sopes is the better than the tacos so I'll have to try that next time. This location serves beer as well. You order at the front and they call your number out when the food is ready. People working were friendly and helpful - I don't speak Spanish. They have a big parking lot in case you ate driving. I'll be back if I am in the area and am craving tacos late night.

I grew up eating here but lately all we get is over amounts of OIL in our food .! I know food products are expensive but this is crazy quality is lower and lower every time and food just don't taste the same .the place looks old and needs some update .. but todays lunch what a disappointment

I have a serious addiction to their bean and cheese burrito. The salsa tastes just like King Taco's - it's amazing. The service is top-notch, with staff that are always attentive. I appreciate that you can ask for extra sauce without getting hit with an extra $1.25 charge like at King Taco. They are open for practically the entire day, and to top it off, they have Modelo on tap. Taurino is where the party's at. It's a true Mexican restaurant experience.

The food is always delicious. The service it's your normal, basic average service which is OK the ambience it is pretty busy but this evening was more mellow than other times. I've been here. It's not quiet but it's not too loud however the price point it is on the pricey side, especially when you get the Barbacoa play watch out sometimes they put a big bone when you order the Barbacoa plate for the family of 1 pound, so not cool that's why I gave it a four-star

This place is awful! Don't come here. I've been giving it a benefit of doubt for years. But, the staff is nasty. I've gotten into many arguments with them over getting one extra salsa and today was the last straw! They serve me a dry nacho order and I decided I would not argue with them because I would not win. And by the way, their armed guard is pretty intimidating if you're gonna complain about your order, because he's always right there next to you to protect the staff...Regardless if they're in the right or wrong! Is this freakin Germany in the 1900's or 1940's or what?! LA has got to have better choices...Anyone had any suggestions????

Been coming here for over 10 years El Taurino is classic. They have really good carne asada tacos but what separates them from the rest it's the red salsa! The best in the game. Now the service it ain't good but hey the food so good it still gets 5 stars for me!

So I have been coming here for years. They take your money and give you your food. The lady behind the counter after picking up my 3 tacos and one burrito only gave two salsas. Her reply is there's salsa in the burrito. I was like you get three salas. Acts like she owns the spot. The burrito had little to no meat. Maybe she didn't get any meat at home. lol anyways sorry but I will just go to a spot in the street. Unlimited salsa.

So this was my 6th or 7th time here. It's a bit of a drive for me (I'm from Culver City) but my gf loves the torta de Milanesa. It is very culturally rich in the inside, but bathrooms are not well maintained. Finding a place to dine in is a mission. Long wait times for food orders even when not extremely busy (dine in seems to be first on priority for orders being fulfilled which is understandable). I was going to review this as 4 out of 5 stars regardless of these observations but I tried for the first time the carne asada nachos and changed my rating to 3 stars. The chips were stale, the meat was over seasoned, and the plate simply did not do the trick for me. I guess this place is only good for torta de Milanesa and the red salsa they give with it. The torta is also not filling enough so you have to get 2. 4 out of 5 stars for the torta but that's all that's worth while here. I do not recommend anything else from here.

I love their chicharron and buche. Salsa Roja and Verde are both delicious. Recently though the tortillas are always under cooked and the meat portion has gotten smaller in the taco. So this is a major disappointment.

2.5 stars Located on a corner street bordering koreatown/pico union, El Taurino offers your standard go to tacos, burritos, tortas, etc. They have a good amount of parking spaces but some can be tight so be careful. My gf loves their tostadas so that's her go to. I ordered their nachos with Al pastor, which comes with cheese. I also added cilantro/ onions but they charged an extra $1.. just for a sprinkle of it! My nachos were sad. Almost no meat at all. It was mostly the onions that they sautéed the Al pastor with. I would skip their nachos and stick to their tacos. I swear they probably put more meat on one taco than on my nachos.

Been coming here forever since I was a teenager. It's a landmark spot for us Angelina's. Whether it be middle of the day or late Nighy, always a line. That should tell you something! You can't go wrong with anything, really. It's all very tasty. But I personally do the Costillas, the asada and the pastor is bomb! They are a bit stingy with the salsa. So it takes an act of congress to get more. You need to be up front about requesting more and then reiterating that at the pick-up window. The red is fire!!! Flavor and heat. Green is my favorite! Has more flavor than heat, but definitely still brings heat. I usually couple my meal with an iced cold modelo draft and the world is a little calmer at that moment. =) If you haven't tried this spot. You must. I've been coming here forever and don't plan on stopping.

Been coming for 20 years and it's still delicious!!! The speed of the orders being fulfilled has slowed down significantly, when it's busy you can easily wait an hour for your order... But all in all, I really come here for the green sauce... their tacos are good and all but you can find good taco anywhere. You can find el taurino's sauces anywhere else... except maybe king taco.

What the hell happened Taurino? The portions of food have been getting smaller and more expensive. The only reason I occasionally patronize your business is because of the red salsa. This is my taco from today's order. Where is the meat? I think you lost another customer. This just sucks plain and simple. What a joke!!!

Very good tacos! I tried the carne asada, and the Barbacoa both were excellent but I prefer the Carne asada. I had the saudero burrito and it was very good not enough meat tho but still very good. This place is king tacos rival and to me it might be a close tie because they taste similar. I definitely recommend the his place!

It's ok. My father in law said it was really good. He's a Mexican immigrant so I took his word and decided to stop by and try out a burrito. I bought an all meat Buche Burrito. The buche was tender and had a decent clean flavor. It was ok. But the best I have ever had. I would give it a 3/5 stars. The real highlight of this place is the salsa. They sell them separately. The green salsa is not that spicy but so full of flavor with bits of onions and tomatillos in it. 4/5 stars The red salsa has a very smoky flavor to it but it's also super spicy. The spicy was doesn't last to long. It's a good kick. 5/5 stars Not a bad spot to try out. I will try some other items if I'm In The area.

This is an LA institution. I've recently returned to LA after 20 years and glad to see that some things don't change. Flavors have remained the same for as long as I can remember and with this caliber of flavor, it's not hard to see why it's still here. If you want a taste of LA, eat here

THE SERVICE AND VALUE HAS DECLINED INCREDIBLY. Writing from their parking lot because I'm honestly flabbergasted. The size for a "large" salsa is literally half the size it used to be a few months ago WITH a price increase. When I got my order I was confused and went back just to make sure there was no mix up. I had literally been coming here for 10 years ALWAYS ordering extra salsa so I'm not making this up. They took the salsa from me and demanded my card. I guess processed a refund, that I never asked for, and told me I cannot have the salsa and that I'd have to pay. They then proceeded to make a scene saying I have to pay for extra salsa as if I didn't already pay, can't pay, or are trying to somehow get out of paying??? I was literally just shocked at their behavior so I just left. Salsa-less. I'm never going back there again. The way they tried to shame me for asking about a clear change in their business is disgusting.

Carne is super well marinated and delicious. Good quality. Do yourself a favor and get extra tacos. The green salsa is the best also!! Love this place. It's similar to king taco and I love it!!

I was in town with my husband for a Universal Studios trip & before we left we wanted some tacos. My husband said he knew a place that sold the bombest tacos. He took me to El Taurino. I never knew of this place. Its in the corner of Hoover and 11th St. Can I just say that I love the mural thats on the wall outside. Very beautiful. The El Taurino sign it right above it. The entrance is also in the corner of the streets. Upon entrance, it already looked like a big restaurant. They have multiple cashier windows. I just don't know if each cashier window was for different meats. I ordered three carne asada tacos plain (yes plain lol) with a side of rice & a side of beans. I don't believe that had taco plates that came with the sides already. I had to buy the sides separate. My husband ordered 5 carne asada tacos with cebolla & cilantro. For drinks we got a medium horchata & a large horchata. The food was delicious!! & their horchata was so refreshing as well. I had my tacos with the green salsa they had & it was so good. It wasn't spicy but it has a great taste. I didn't try their red chile because my husband told me it was spicy lol. Rice & beans were so good. Rice was very soft & had great flavor. The beans were soft as well & juicy. I did use their restroom. They had separate bathrooms for the ladies & gents. The ladies restroom was clean but it had a fowl odor. They did provide paper towels & soap with a sink in the restroom as well. You don't smell the odor until you enter the restroom. Our cashier was very nice. Great customer service. I would come again & eat their delicious tacos. I also do recommend this place. I give them 4 stars only because of their restroom. For my Vegas people, I would describe the restaurant as the Tacos El Gordo of LA.

Been coming here for several decades and they always hit the spot. Whether it's late night munchies or taco cravings calling your name, El Taurino should def be on your short taco list in LA. You'll notice some similarity in the menu to King Taco because the owner is the same. The signature red and green sauces are identical at either location. The main difference is that E.T. serves beer and offers quite a bit more variety on the menu beyond your typical tacos and burritos. For all items on the menu, your meat options are carne asada (broiled beef), al pastor (pork shepherd style), carnitas (beef suadero), cabeza (head), lengua (tongue), and buche. Cilantro and onions can be added to all items by request. My favs are asada, al pastor, lengua, and cabeza. The tacos here are fantastic. Burritos are great too, but if you don't like rice and beans, you can get the 'pura carne' or all-meat burrito instead. I love the sopes (fried corn patty w/ meat, beans, cabbage, onions, cotija cheese) and tostadas (fried tortilla, choice of meat, pickled onions, cotija cheese) here as well. If you're looking for something to share, you can't go wrong with their nachos. The don't skimp on the meat or cheese and it's quite the filler. They also offer tortas (think sandwich but with Mexican steak), quesadillas, barbacoa & chicharron (Sat & Sun only), and tamales but I have yet to try them. If you're craving a traditional plate meal, their house special Costillas Rancheros is def worth trying which includes corn tortillas, huge piece of thinly cut steak, grilled onions, guacamole, and beans. Plenty of parking out back but can get pretty full during rush hours.

El Taurino never disappoints. I always forget how spicy the red sauce is. The nachos are my favorite because it's a pile of tortilla chips topped with a pile of carne asada with a tub of nacho cheese poured on top. Quesadillas are super meaty and cheesy.

I mean this restraint don't even know how they become towns best Mexican restaurant. The works become very unfriendly by recent years. Don't know why they are so stingy about their sauce!!!? Just give me two sauce for one burrito already!

You can't go wrong at El Taurino! The tacos are always a go to, especially the Al Pastor My boyfriend got a burrito and thought that "all meat" meant that the burrito would have all the different types of meat but it was actually a burrito with "only meat" LOL but it was still good! We tried the Pineapple Agua Fresca for the first time today and it was the perfect drink to pair with the tacos! It was the perfect amount of sweet and refreshing, great for the summer!

Muy muertos de hambre. Taco meat and all around quality of food sucks from this place now. Not worth even to try and have a bad experience trust me.

Living in LA there are so many good Mexican restaurants and this one is new to me. El Taurino has the look and charm of an old restaurant I used to frequent in Guadalajara. For the new person it's kind of confusing with all the different windows to order or pick up your food...very confusing but worth the wait. I'm not going to go into details so I will let the photos speak for themselves. The hot sauces were reminiscent of King Tacos and that's a plus. The neatest thing was the oversized chicharron. It was literally 2-3 feet in length and just as wide. The taste was excellent with just a hint of salt. It actually worked well with the lamb soup and hot sauces. Ambiance: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Cleanliness: 7/10 Value: 7.5/10 Bathrooms: 7.5/10 Food: 8/10 Will I return? The menu is large enough so I'll be back!

Stopped by here for lunch. Parking can be difficult with their small lot and we did have to circle around once. It's also in an awkward corner so exiting and entering can be a bit difficult for some. Got al pastor tacos and some asada nachos. The tacos are pretty good. Definitely needs the salsa to add a nice kick. The nachos use nacho cheese, but the meat was nice. Ordering can be confusing as to where I should pick up the food, but the workers are helpful. I have definitely had better tacos, but these hit the spot if you do want street tacos. Otherwise, I'm sure any Angeleno has their favorite taco joint/truck/spot elsewhere.

I have been a constant customer coming here at least once a week and I have never had any issues with this establishment since today I bought 5 burritos and spent $50 there and for some reason they didn't want to give me any lemons with my food. Both ladies told me to pay for lemons when I have gotten lemons plenty of times with no issues when I have bought one or two burritos but the moment I decide to spend more and get 5 burritos they didn't want to even give me any lemons not even a handful. I just can't believe it like even street vendors give out free lemons and salsa with their food and idk if it was those ladies who work there or it's a new rule to this place but they can't even give out lemons just really made me realize how tight and messed up this establishment has become. It's really disappointing how these workers can be so tight with condiments like so much for caring about quality customer service the employees make it seem like they pay for the condiments themselves or it's coming out of their check like people are paying good money for food like why be tight with condiments.

These are the best authentic Mexican tacos I've ever had there amazing the meat is delicious and they're amazing rice has a lot of Flavor and goes amazing with the tacos.

Excellent place to snack OR fill up on tasty yet inexpensive food. The lengua and suadero tacos were good, but the Al Pastor was so outstanding that we waited in line again for seconds. Similarly I liked the Queso con Jalapeño tamale better than the meat ones. Both red and green sauces were really good, and I find it fun to try them with different items to see how the taste may change. Overall I tend to like mole better for the smoky, spicy flavor but the salsa verde is also a great way to add a zesty flavor. It gets busy here, so you may have to wait in line to order. Once you get to the counter, you can tell them what you want, and watch your order appear on the register's screen. They'll give you a ticket with a number on it, so that when that number is called you can go to the next counter and watch them prepare your order right there. At the counter they'll ask if you want cilantro and onions with your tacos. I also liked their Jamaica (hibiscus) drink. Enjoy!

Super comparable to king taco. The asada has the same lemon marinade, the al pastor is similar and the salsas taste almost identical; however here, salsas are not as spicy. I had an asada sope that was very good. I typically prefer al pastor but the asada here is probably better. The al pastor has more fat and nerve here, not as tender, more on the dry side. I came right before prime dinner time around 4pm on a weekday and the line didn't appear too crazy but let me tell you, it takes some time. That's probably the worst experience about this place, I would have taken half a star off for that but the food is worth a shot. Try it. Not sure I'll come back because of the wait times and seating.
