El Chile Toreado

I don’t even know how to express how good their breakfast burrito is! We got both the breakfast burrito and breakfast tacos veggie style, and the burrito is the winner by long and far. The tacos were ok but, I’m guessing, a lot better if you get meat. The burrito, however, was a life altering experience and I will be dreaming of it for months to come. The classic green and red sauces you get with it are some of the best I have ever had! I recommend asking for extra red sauce if you like things spicy. If you’re in Santa Fe, this is a must visit!

Got the breakfast burrito with the Luis mix (4 meats). I should have taken a picture before i started to eat it. This thing was massive. It was so good and had nice spice from the red chile. It was mostly meat, which I'm ok with, and not a lot of egg or papas. Definitely worth the $11 you pay for it. I want to come back for lunch sometime to try one of their hot dogs or adobada.

Best veggie breakfast burrito of my LIFE. So unbelievably flavorful, like wow wow wow. If you’re visiting Santa Fe, this should be at the top of your list.

Amazing street tacos from this food truck in Santa Fe. I thought the service was quick and easy. I tried three of the pork tacos and they were each packed with tons of flavor. One of the best carnitas tacos I’ve ever had, so juicy and tender. The al pastor had chunks of pineapple and onions that were marinated with the pork which is different from other al pastors I’ve had, but I like it. And the adobada had a good smokiness to it. The salsas were red and green Chile in true New Mexican fashion and were both perfect on every taco. Bonus points for self-serve garnishes and for having cabbage.

This is the best odd little taco spot we go to . We like the asada, but usually get it on a hot dog! Do try it. The veggie tacos with a side of bacon ends makes a great lunch too. Careful with what you order. Muy caliente! A great place. Nationally know. A local favorite. Be nice to these kind latin workers. They care about what they make. And you will too. So be polite a little patient and brush up on your spanish. Mine isn't great. But their food sure is!

SUCH AMAZING TACOS!!! A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I shared an order of veggie vegetarian tacos with my spouse and it was the perfect amount of food for lunch. It came with green and red sauce and I found myself wanting to pour the green sauce right into my mouth. Top five tacos I've had in my life. Highly, highly recommend.

Great Breakfast Burrito! The Chili has just the right amount of spiciness (hot, but not unpleasant). I recommend the Louis meat breakfast burrito w/ the Christmas chili (red & green Chile). Only downside is they are a little expensive, but at least the are large. As always, Tell’em OuttaTownTony sent you!

A couple weeks ago I was visiting Santa Fe for a few days while on a long road trip. I asked my local friend where I should go for some food before moving on and she suggested El Chile Toreado. I believe her follow up words were "it's unfair how good it is". That obviously piqued my interest and made me need to find out for myself. I'm a HUGE burrito fan and somewhat of a burrito snob so I had to see if it could back up such a claim. I then headed over there to snag a burrito before they closed for the day. I tried to order a carnitas burrito but they were out so I went with the carne asada with hatch peppers. NBD. I paid and eagerly waited for my burrito. It only took a few mins before I had it in-hand and on my way. I went back to my van and my plan was to take a few quick bites before starting my drive... but... that all went out the door after my first bite! I'm pretty sure I vocally blurted out some sort of instant excitement/happy expletive at what I was experiencing. Unreal!!! I then continued to crush that thing... savoring every bite. Half-way through I realized that they were closing down for the day so I headed back over there just so I could tell them how they made the best burrito I have ever had! I then blissfully finished off that burrito and thought about planning my next road-trip out here (from Cali) just so I can eat here every day!
