I love that they accommodate and are very welcoming to fur babies. We were able to bring our dogs and enjoy a wonderful meal on their pet friendly patio. Although it was hot outside, the amount of fans they have around definitely help with staying cool. It’s located near the Pearl, and such a quiet little neighborhood to enjoy a nice walk. Our waitress was helpful and brought out a pitcher of water for not only us, but for our fur babies as well. We went during happy hour and for the “nachos” which was a bit underwhelming. Not what we expected even though it’s labeled a small plate… this was indeed small. Tiny to say the least, and I really don’t think we will be getting this again. If I can remember correctly, it was less than $10 for this plate, but once again, a little underwhelming for nachos. My husband got the Cheeseburger and a side of fries, which he enjoyed. I got the Fish Tacos, and we shared a side of Mac & Cheese. All were wonderful! Loved the Mac & Cheese! I think my only complaint is that by the time I got my tacos, the tortillas were quite soggy to pick up and it was a bit messy to eat, so I ended up having to use and fork. Nonetheless, still a great place and we will be back!

The wife my youngest daughter and I came here on a whim. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was equally as nice. Our server was friendly and came by enough to make sure we were looked in on but not overly looked upon. I had the crispy snapper the wife had the steak medallions with chimichurri and the daughter had the burger. All of them were cooked fantastically! We will most definitely be back in the future. Can't wait to try more food on the menu.

The weather was amazing today that we played hooky for lunch. Nice cool breeze. The outdoor eating area was perfect to enjoy the weather. Free parking. Drinks were great. I had the spicy margarita- 🌶️ good! The drink of the day frozen arnold palmer was good, kinda sweet side. The double chis/salsa was ok; but bland. The fish tacos were so good. The Rubin sandwich was good; extra sauce available. Definitely recommended!!

Really nice place! My son got the lemonade with strawberry, it was really tangy but good. My mom and I just got water served in a jar and the Still Rainwater very refreshing! May the Lord bless you. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation 🙏🙏

I came here on a recommendation of some friends, and I'm certainly glad I ate here. We arrived around 9 pm, so it wasn't as busy as it usually is. I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer, and they were small and crispy, very tasty. For my main course I ordered the sirloin, Mac n cheese and the garden salad. I don't normally order steak out, but this was one of the most delicious, quality sirloins I've had at a restaurant in a long time. If you plan to eat here for any reason, just do it for their Mac n cheese. Let me just say, YUM! That was an experience. The garden salad was lovely and their house champagne vinaigrette is spot on. The service was great, and it's a lovely restaurant and area overall. I definitely plan to return and try some more of the menu. As the food came out for other people, each dish looked delicious!

Worst experience EVER!!! Sat us outside even though our reservation stated inside. We were finally greeted by a stoned waitress after 15 minutes. Our appetizer a simple guacamole and chips took an entire hour and was brought out by the manager. (Yes, I timed it!) Waitress asked “how was everything?” Before we even got our food!!! High as a kite no doubt. House salad came out old, warm and wilted. Bees flying in my cubin sandwich that was cold, dry and barely had any meat. Drinks took forever and were brought out by the bartender herself while waitress was doing God knows what because the restaurant was not busy at ALL and my frozen margarita sat so long it was melted. Asked for kid’s lemonade for our 5 year old which was brought in a tall glass, had to remind her twice until she finally brought a kids cup WITH the check. The manager was apologetic but as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years I know what the standards are and this was straight up ridiculously unacceptable and yall just lost a regular, high paying and tipping customer. And yes I still tipped her $5 even though she deserved zero.

First time Visiting the Grayson, love the outside dining area. One table had several birds eating the leftovers but kind of neat. We all have to eat. Pathway of rox\cks is so beautiful, all the umbrellas. It was hot outside otherwise we would have ate on the patio. 103 in San Antonio. Walked in the door to cool air and these beautiful chandeliers and bar. Took a little time to get seated, almost changed to eating outside but they finally found us a table in the back. Lemonade very pricey with an additional $1 for added flavor. Don't recommend the added flavor, not worth the extra cost. Menu Is also pricey but we were near the Pearl, maybe that's why the higher cost. Food was excellent no complaints. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese for my grandson. Meatballs so delicious and fell apart. Mac and cheese...WOW! So creamy and delicious. We all had a bite but my grandson ate it up. He had string cheese hanging from his mouth. He loved it so much. The grilled cheese also went fast. He is almost 10 and has a huge appetite. The Grayson did not give small portions for the Mac and cheese, we were pleasantly surprised.. My daughter and I split a Cuban sandwich with asparagus spheres. Delicious!! The sandwich came with a side of shoestring fries, they were just OK. The portion size was small. Sandwich was excellent and the asparagus was so zesty. Highly recommend. Order for 2 was pricy; that is my only complaint really and the creepy manager with the earbud. No Veterans discount either. Our servers was so nice, she kept coming back to check on us. Thanks Mia! Someone was standing watching everything in plain clothes and had a ear piece in, if he was a manager he should have come to the tables to see if our service was good or not. Smile a little bit too...too serious seriously. Restrooms so clean, love the paper towels. Pictures of dogs hanging on the walls were a nice touch. Someone took a lot of time to get all the details of every painting. Especially loved the Collie. Did not get any pics of the restroom but super clean. Pricing may stop us from coming back, paid over $60 for 2 meals. Thanks Mia for great service and to the guy watching with arms crossed...lighten up. Stand and watch where your not noticed by the customers. Oh one more thing...don't fall for the Rainwater! Bottled water? Too expensive for a glass bottle with a rainwater label. I purchased for my daughter but the glass jugs of free water is better. Waitress will validate your parking if you park in the Grayson lot, we did not see the signs so paid to park on the street.

What a fantastic experience! I wish I had snapped some photos of the appetizers and the other dishes my family ordered, but the food was so irresistibly delicious that we dove right in without a second thought! We started with perfectly seasoned meatballs and crispy fried onion rings that had the ideal crunch. The fried snapper was cooked to perfection, accompanied by fresh coleslaw that added a nice tang. The house salad, topped with a mouthwatering dressing, was the perfect complement to our meal. Every bite was an absolute delight! Our server started off just okay, but he really grew on us as the evening went on. The ambiance of the restaurant is upbeat and inviting, making it a great spot for a fun night out with friends or family. Just a heads-up--the volume is a bit loud, so it's not the place for quiet conversation, but it's perfect if you're in the mood for an energetic atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for more!

We dined in here after a stroll into the Quarry and opted for outside seating. The patio is warmly lit and makes for great space for larger parties. Due to a water break in the area, this restaurant was a bit busy and alot of the food items were no longer available. We opted for the Turkey sandwich and fried chicken special. They were pretty average, so not much to rave about. I would love to return to give this restaurant another try with a full menu.

While I appreciate the quality of the food at your restaurant, I must express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit. Unfortunately, the staff seemed inattentive, and I felt neglected after being seated, which significantly impacted my overall experience. Additionally, I find the prices to be quite high, although I do acknowledge that the ambiance and decor of the building are charming. I hope that these concerns can be addressed, as I would like to continue enjoying your restaurant in the future. Having visited the restaurant on a couple of occasions, I regret to say that both experiences have been disappointing. When making a reservation, I was informed that our party could be seated together. However, upon arrival, we were told that we would be seated separately. This inconsistency is disappointing and feels unprofessional, especially when reservations are made in advance.

We went Saturday to Down on Grayson , it was our first time there. It's nice and roomy on the inside with big screen TV 's. My guess ordered the JK club looked pretty decent and I had the Cobb salad which to me was lacking a lot of flavor. The only thing that I liked about the Cobb salad was the fresh bacon in it and the fresh avocado. The garlic toast was good as well.

Joey was amazing! He provided exemplary customer service! He was welcoming, very friendly and on top of his game! Nice spot, relaxed environment and delicious food!

I had brunch at Grayson on Sunday and it was fantastic! The appetizers were shareable and delicious. The mimosas were amazing, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Service was fast, and the food was fresh with an amazing taste. Five stars! ---

Down on Grayson is perfect for a summer outing solo or with friends. The atmosphere was casual but the menu felt a bit higher end(the perfect combo). I just came in for a quick drink and the bartender was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. I am a whiskey girl and decided to order the Cinnamon Bourbon Sour which was like Christmas in a cup. It tasted so good and two of those will have you feeling amazing. I can't wait to come back and try the menu. I definitely recommend this spot.

This was our first time coming to this restaurant. We were greeted at the door by a hostess and seated. Our server was really great. He explained everything we needed to know because we told him it was out first time there. Even though the menu doesn't say they do have kids options and they are the following: 1. Chicken tenders and fries 2. Grilled cheese 3. A slider burger with fries We ordered the soup of the day and it was a pretty good portion be I shared it with someone else and we felt pretty good about our half portion. It was really tasty and loaded with flavor. The potato pieces were soft but not mushy 10/10 I highly recommend this soup. Then I got the char king w/bacon which was good... typical burger. I did sub for the Parmesan fries which I thought we ok. The crispy chicken sandwhich had a unique taste to it. It was very good and we added onion rings to it. Those onion rings were amazing. We kind of wished we hadn't gotten the parm fries and got another side of onion rings. The kids tenders were really good. I'm surprised that my kid ate two of them and all the fries. The portion of the kids meal was very generous. The breading on them was really good and the chicken looked like chicken... there are places that it's all breading and the chicken in the inside looks weird. We were very pleased with the service, food, and the location was really nice. They have outdoor and indoor seating and it's very nicely decorated.

Another good group experience outside in the well-shaded, (fan-supported) breezy, and gravel-ly back area. The Brussels sprouts are always a hit, and the pimento cheese and guacamole were really good with their fresh-made chips. I went for the Thai steak salad again. We stopped in on a rainy Thursday evening while in the area. It was rather slow at the restaurant, likely due to the weather, so we were seated immediately, waited on quickly and informed of the Happy Hour specials. My wife went with a Thai steak salad and I had the cheeseburger. Both were very good. The appetizer of friend onion rings were hot and crispy although the batter is a bit heavier than what I would prefer but still very good. I've never had to review a paper towel machine in the bathroom before, but their's is the kind you wave your hand under and it rolls out a bit of paper for you. I've never had a machine give out a paper towel the size of a sheet of toilet paper before. It took about 5 pieces before I was able to get enough to dry my hands. Very strange for a more upscale place.

I ordered the fish tacos! The seasoning was really good. The tortillas are not strong at all and the tacos ended up soggy when we got them but I still ate it all with utensils because it was good! The steak and fries was tasty and they cooked it at the perfect medium temp. The drinks are always the best! I get the Paloma everytime. We have brought our child here both times in her stroller. They are very accommodating

Good service, food and drinks! When we arrived we were asked if we'd prefer sparkling or still water. We said "still water, nothing fancy." Crazy we got charged for waters. And 1.50 for additional condiments that were recommended not even our idea. At least tell us there is an up charge. Kinda lame.

I absolutely loved this restaurant!! It was super cute and the energy was amazing. We were seated immediately and our server was great. I ordered the turkey sandwich which was HUGE. I had to take it to go and finish it later cuz it was soooo stuffed. The fries were really good too!

I sat at the bar on this visit and the service was really good. I've been wanting to try their Fish and Chips, it's their special on Fridays. There are two huge pieces of cod served on a huge plate of fries. Unless you are incredibly hungry, two people could easily share this plate. The fish was fried perfectly and it was really flaky. The fries are always perfect. Would I order it again? Not unless I had someone to share it with. The ambiance is always great here. It would be a nice place to bring a date.

I've been to Down On Grayson a few times and highly recommend it! Inside or outside, there are positive vibes all around, and both spaces are open and inviting. The menu has a lot of varied and good options, and the bartenders, servers, and service are great overall. It's a good location if you feel like walking to other places at the Pearl.

Another great experience at down on Grayson. Stopped in for some drinks and some lighter meals to snack on. The staff was very nice and super courteous. Specifically I wanted the anticuchos. Never had them. go try them. So good. Great date night so check em out.

Great casual food and chill location. Was visiting San Antonio and can definitely say this is a super safe bet if you're looking for a solid meal with decent variety, good portions, and reasonable prices. Service was great. Sat outside and even in the August heat, it was very tolerable with the fans. Perfect place for larger parties too or with families!

Had dinner at Down on Grayson for first time. Very positive overall experience! Why? 1. Parking right next door (under the highway) and they validate for 3 hours! 2. Ample seating indoors and outdoors. We sat outdoors. Rather warm, of course, because it's summer in San Antonio. But lots of shade from trees and air movement from fans along with the natural breeze. 3. Service was outstanding. Very attentive and relaxed. 4. Prices were decent. Good value for the money. 5. Food quantities were generous. 6. Food flavors were superb. Fish tacos, for example, were tasty and a bit unusual (in a very good way). Same with the brussels sprouts appetizer. 7. Though it's a Saturday evening, they did not try to rush us out of there. 8. Lots of people do parties here, sitting outside where there is ample space. Looks great for birthdays, graduations, etc. I will gladly come here again when I'm in San Antonio.

Great brunch spot! Brussels sprouts are amazing! We shared the skewers that were so flavorful! Service was on the spot! He helped us navigate to some amazing parings and selections! Inside dining was so comforting but we will surely try patio next time! A couple of apps and a bottle of wine in our near future here!

Quiet ambiance with fans and misters outdoors. Great service and everything was delicious. Pimento cheese and guacamole as well as the Brussels appetizers were yummy. The salad was a nice blend of greens, pecans, and noodles with a spicy chili oil dressing. The fish tacos were also a hit.

BLUF: A fabulous restaurant near downtown with validated parking, delicious food, and a fun, relaxing ambiance. The wait staff, bar staff, and hosts were very attentive, and we were never without a full cup or condiments. My wife and I went here after her and some girlfriends tried it out last fall. I was immediately pleased with the parking situation, which was right next to the restaurant. The parking is paid; however, you are validated by the restaurant, which makes the cost zero! Also, the parking app was easy to use and worked seamlessly with the validation bar code provided by the staff. We ordered the garlic Parmesan fries appetizer, which was cooked to perfection and topped with just enough graded Parmesan to keep you going back for more. My wife had the fish tacos, which I didn't try, but she was happy with. I got the French dip, which was the best one I've ever had. The roast beef was fresh, cooked at about medium rare, and garnished with Swiss and onions (optional). Wow, I've been thinking about this sandwich for days. I ordered onion rings for a side dish and was just as pleased. The onion rings were shoestring and served in a small round dish. They were also cooked to perfection, not overly salted, and slightly sweet from the type of onion. Now, dessert is my jam, but most times, I'd instead get something to eat at home and enjoy it on the couch like an actual glutinous pig. However, the food was so good I decided to get the coconut cake. WOW! It was so good. Down on Grayson is my new favorite restaurant. Lots of options for seating. Inside, outside by the fire, at the bar while waiting for your table. They have it all.

Decided to stop here for a quick lunch as I had been reading the rave reviews on this place! It was worth the stop. Grabbed a cold brew and had this massive BLT sandwich packed with flavor! The phone reception is hit or miss but I enjoyed the great service and the clean environment!

The ambiance was really chill. We sat outside, and the bathrooms were clean the inside of the restaurant had a weird smell. The service was okay we ordered Anticuchosa a kabob with beef bell peppers and onion. This was absolutely the worst thing I've ever ate. The meat was so sour it was hard to eat I choked on the bell pepper because I didn't know that they were pickled tasted like a best made pickle. Ther server said the kabobs are marinated in red wine vinegar. I also ordered tortilla soup it was so gross tasted like watered down chili, and the spring onions were like biting into raw onions. The fries were good. This business thrives based on location we paid, but left our plates full and walked down to a Brazilian food truck to eat dinner.

Nice spot to check out near the Pearl District in San Antonio. We stopped in to meet up with some friends. Open seating at the bar, or seated by the hostess for the remainder of the restaurant. Parking is metered and can be validated by the restaurant. The double dip appetizer had chips, guac and pimento cheese. Very interesting take, but I really enjoyed the combination of the 2 dips. We ordered the chimichurri steak (comes with 2 sides: salad and onion rings) and cheeseburger and fries. The fries were a little lackluster for me, but weren't the worst. Their chimichurri was a different spin than I anticipated, more watery sauce than oil based; but still pretty good. Preferably chimichurri oil based for the steak, or should have put it on the side of the steak, so it wasn't all over the steak. My burger had a great chargrill flavor to it, but one critique would be that it's missing onions. Otherwise it was a solid cheeseburger. My prickly pear nojito was a nice cocktail and had a great pucker.

It was easy to find parking, when you do the pay parking, you need to validate it with the waiter then they give you a qr code that you scan Also word of advice, this is not a seat yourself place, they will seat you. Its so beautiful and I loved it, the waiters are so sweet and the food was so delish, loved every moment of being there.

We went with a group of about 18 - they graciously placed us at thee tables in immediate proximity. We stubled upon happy hour - half price appetizers, deals on drinks. Joey took outstanding care of us - even as members of our party moved from table to table! We shred roasted brussel sprouts, aparmesean fries, onion rings and avacado toast - each one was delightful. I had the Fire Roasted Chicken and highly recomend it, the side salad with champagne dressing and creamy four cheese mac and cheese that came with the entree. Hubby had a rueben that was full of pastrami - it must have been good as he ate it all. Dog friendly patio. Lots of fans and misters. I can easily recomend Down on Greyson for a meeting place, drinks with friends, a romantic dinner date, or a co-worker gathering. They even comp parking under the freeway for 3 hours. Ready to work my way through their menu.

With so many dining options in the Pearl district, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but this place caught my eye with its quaint charm, reminiscent of a spot I love in LA. I started off with their special drink, the frozen Moscow mule, and it was incredibly refreshing--a perfect way to kick off the meal. As a family, we sampled a variety of dishes. The shishito peppers for starters were fantastic; it's surprising how some places can mess those up, but here they were spot on. The Cuban sandwich was a highlight for me; the bread was wonderfully buttery, and the sandwich itself was crafted with care. The JK club was a satisfying choice, especially with the addition of the egg, which blended beautifully with the bread. We couldn't resist ordering a side of the Mac and Cheese, and it definitely lived up to its reputation--it's a must-try. Our server was attentive and checked in with us regularly, ensuring our experience was top-notch. Overall, it's a great option if you find yourself in the Pearl District, offering delicious food and excellent service.

Recent update... always enjoy my time here and our waitress was great as always, good crown, not too noisy... BUT stay away from the French dip. I mean I like my beef medium rare but this was bloody, chewy and lacked flavor

While out and about today with a fellow Yelper friend of mine today, we were out to attend a going away luncheon for a fellow colleague. I arrived and looked for a parking spot. Almost all surrounding lots are paid parking, so that is dumb. This has been one big turnoff for me, and is the reason I never come to the Pearl. The whole uppety bougie atmosphere is dumb. I digress.... Friends alerted us to some free two hour parking, so I parked and went to toward the restaurant. There was a wait inside, so we grabbed a table outside. We all were given menus and drink orders were taken. We perused the menu and made our selections. There were a lot of delicious looking items on the menu. There were a lot of things I wanted to try, but with this being lunch, I opted for something more aligned with lunch and not dinner. There were also a lot of expensive items on the menu, and other things were more dinner priced than lunch. I might come back and try a dinner item next time. Jack, our waiter, took our orders and went back to put it in. For me, the crispy chicken sandwich with no lettuce or slaw, and upgrade to onion rings instead of fries. We all sat and waited for the food. While we waited, I conversed with my friend Sam (the fellow Yelper) . Sam writes great reviews, and it puzzles me why Yelp has problems making her Elite (do you hear me Yelp?). After some good conversations and fellowship with my colleagues, our food arrived in good time. Every plate brought to the table looked delicious. Sam caught me admiring her plate, so she offered me a small piece of her Rueben, which I gladly accepted. Gave it a try and it was delicious. My plate looked delicious. Upon further review, my sandwich was messed up, and contained the items I did not ask for. I debated sending it back, but decided just to scrape what I didn't order off. Overall, my dish was tasty. The chicken was crispy, as promised, and the thin onion rings were perfectly crispy. My sandwich had remnants of tomato and slaw, so this ruined a perfect score for my dish. Not sure if Jack just did not care to write down my request, or if the kitchen messed it up. Overall, considering the service and the food, I would say it was a great experience. I would return here if I was in the area. I will not go out of my way to get here, as this place is pricey. If you are in the area, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

The food, service, and ambiance were all great, per usual. We had a cheeky little girls' night, and it was the perfect outdoor spot. However, the parking situation here is so frustrating. The system they have in place has been glitchy the last three times I've been there, and I've been charged up to $44 for parking. I don't mind paying for parking but dealing with the company that runs the Down on Grayson parking lot isn't worth the visit.

Great service. Love the location on the edge of the Pearl. The watermelon daiquiri had a yummy flavor, though it was a little small. The steak salad has a light dinner with a tasty Thai dressing. Watch out cause that dressing has a kick. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The parking lot now charges. However, Grayson validates for 2 hours, so be sure to ask your server.

I love the atmosphere of this place. I have gone a bunch of times and all the food is great. The service is also very fast, helpful, and nice. One of my favorite restaurants at the pearl.

Josephine Street Cafe behind this place has much better food. Both places share the same parking area that is free when the server valadates.

This is one of the better restaurants in the pearl. The patio is perfect for a night out with friends, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the food is always fresh and served hot. Every time I've come been here, I've tried something new. Their steak is excellent, their French dip sandwich is the best I've ever had in San Antonio, their fish and chips is undefeated, and their starters are all hits! The only dish I've been disappointed in is the Ruben sandwich. The one I tried was too dry and almost jerky like. The flavor was there so I know it can be good, I just assume I got the odd ball sandwich of that night and it's not a common thing. I would recommend this place to anyone regardless! Especially people coming to visit you from out of town. This is the perfect place to enjoy a night out with great food!

Down On Grayson is hands down the most "ok" restaurant I have ever tackled on Yelp. Having been more times than I can count, I am never particularly blown away by anything, nor am I overtly put off by anything either. Sure, you have to pay for parking, but you can get that validated by your server. Yes, the prices are high, but you are in a great location. The drinks are good, but the food is only so-so. Looking for some great photos for Instagram? This is the place to do it, but expect a wait. This place is as in the middle of the road metaphorically as it is physically! Long story short, if you want a place to hang around for a couple of hours, Grayson is worth your time. If you just want a quick bite to eat, explore the plenty of options in the surrounding area!

We were there, today Sunday. 2 people had the Sunday Chicken (fried chicken). Very hard crust, the chicken meat was just okay. The biscuit/roll was extremely dry inside. The Cuban sandwich was as just okay. My Caesar grilled chicken salad was all warm? Not just the chicken, but the lettuce, Parmesan etc. Our server was very nice. Please do better on the food. Such basic orders that should not have been bad. Such a cool place and location.

We had dinner for my daughters birthday and we just picked a place we saw while walking around the Pearl. This is not a kid friendly place. They did have high chairs but I definitely did not feel comfortable or welcomed with my 1 and 3 year old. You can tell when staff look at you when you are welcomed and when you are not. The salad I had was pretty good - the fries were cold and hard ( app for my babies ) and with my husbands plate. vibe is great for adults and drinks outside but it was sweltering hot that day. Probably wont go back but i recommend it for ladies who lunch, 100!

Down on Greyson is one of my favorite restaurants near the Pearl. The atmosphere is nice, there's indoor and outdoor seating, and the food is good for the price point. You can't go wrong here.

Finally went on a non busy day. Ordered the appetizer nachos and brussel sprouts. Both were yummy and filling for 2 + 1 toddler. Moose Out

After walking around the Alamo and the riverwalk, I wanted something to hit the spot. Our usual sandwich spot was already closed for the day so we decided to try something new. We came here during dinner time on a Sunday and was seated right away. There's a patio seating option that's dog friendly. We opted for indoor seating which there were plenty of. I ordered the cuban sandwich with shoestring fries. You can upgrade it to parmesan fries for an additional $3. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. Exactly what I needed. I did get a chance to have a bite of their French Dip Sandwich and boy that was probably the best French dip sandwich I've ever had. Highly recommend! For parking, there is a big lot next to the restaurant that you can park at. It'll ask for you to fill out your payment info online but you get a validation code after you eat with a discount so parking will essentially be free.

The bartenders here were great! They were so fast and attentive, checking in to be sure I got everything. I was a little disappointed with the food I ordered. Since it was a Sunday I tried the fried chicken plate and subbed out fries for a side salad. I would not recommend doing this, it's a super simple salad and there's an up charge. The chicken was pretty simple flavor wise as well. I'll stick with fries next time and maybe try one of the sandwiches which I saw at other tables and they looked good. I had started off with the avocado toast and coffee - the toast is a hugeeeee portion! Definitely good to share.

Great spot to grab a bite and stroll the Pearl! Service was great, they have a nice outdoor area and indoor seating to take advantage of the beautiful TX weather, they even have space heaters to keep the cold away. They have it nicely decorated for the holidays and the food and beverage menu are pretty good, guaranteed to have something for everyone!

Everything about today's visit to Down on Grayson was excellent. We were seated inside with no wait in a beautiful open concept dining room that was open to the outdoor dining space. Our server, Julian was on top of things from the moment we were seated. Make no mistake, you want to be seated in his section. He'll greatly enhance your dining experience. I had a lot of questions about menu items because I want new culinary experiences everywhere I go. He answered every question honestly and was so friendly. He recommended pretty much everything we got and he was SPOT ON. We ordered the smoked turkey sandwich, the sliders, crispy brussels, and 2 double shots of crown. When I say excellent, I mean it. The Brussels were the highlight of the meal and I highly recommend them. My husband and I were beyond pleased! For any couple looking to experience the best that San Antonio has to offer WITHOUT their kids in tow, we highly recommend. It was an absolute vibe. 5 out of 5 stories. We'll be back soon!

This establishment was wonderful. The ambiance, the service was bar none. The food was amazing. I ordered a salad with steak and it was so tender it melted in your mouth. Everything about Down on Grayson was amazing. Definitely an A+! Sorry I meant to give you 5 stars.

Absolutely! Vibe, Food, Service, and it's all happening on the outskirts of the Pearl District in San Antonio, Texas. My friend had wanted to go here for awhile so after perusing the Pearl district we came back to, Down on Grayson. We put our name on the list and waited at the lovely bar til our table was ready. We ordered some Shiner Bock beer and an order of delicious onion rings, oh those onion rings are fine, light, crunchy and plenty to share between the 3 of us. Seated to my right I see a fellow diner meal, it's a nice chunk of iceberg lettuce, smothered with tomato, blue cheese dressing, bacon and chicken. I know what I'm ordering. Our name is called and our table is ready. We leave the cool bar area to a vast outdoor seating area. We sit, and my friends order the Char King burger and Chicken Kale salad. I ordered the Classic Wedge(description, up above) Yummy, lite, but whom I kidding, blue cheese, bacon, Yes! Very satisfying, my only small, small so small complaint is they chop the chicken in child bite size. I'd like it in adult size chunks. But it is still fabulous. The staff was great, the bartenders can lighten up a bit, when your behind the bar you got our attention, so shine. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but she forgot to bring my friend her ketchup and it was hard to get her attention. So I'd have the wait staff make a better mental note to check on customers a couple times or just bring that stuff out on a tray if people order Burgers, condiments are kinda a no brainer.

Let me start by saying we typically love this place. This visit was average at best. I'm giving it 4 based on past experiences. The wife had the grouper sandwich which is always solid. I had the fried chicken which I know is a tough dish for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in fried chicken on account of chicken can't be fried to order since it takes so long to cook. That being said, it was really dry and the crust was really hard from sitting under a heat lamp I assume. Had I been lucky enough to get it shortly after coming out of the fryer it would've been outstanding because the flavor of the crust was spot on. This service was great and you can't find a bad place to sit in this establishment from the bar with big screens to watch the game , inside or outside. It's got great atmosphere .
