Nestled in Glendale's Galleria, this trendy outpost of Din Tai Fung serves up fresh, handmade dumplings and other Asian delights in a vibrant atmosphere.
"In a shocking move, Din Tai Fung closed up shop at Americana at Brand and moved right across the street to the Glendale Galleria. Though the location is new, the renowned dumpling restaurant is still serving the same great Shanghai-style fare for which it’s become known. The xiao long bao is a must-order, but don’t neglect the rest of the menu. The ideal meal here is a bit of everything." - Rebecca Roland, Matthew Kang
"You don’t need us to tell you about Din Tai Fung. It’s the dumpling place your mom discovered at the Americana and won’t stop talking about. Basically, you line up, you wait a long time, you eat soup dumplings. We’ve had better soup dumplings (with much shorter waits), but what we’re here for are the far superior spicy shrimp and pork wontons. This location is much like the Glendale one, off-menu chocolate XLB dumplings you will be ordering for dessert included. Unless you’ve got your heart set on the Din Tai Fung experience, there are way better dumpling houses in the area than this one." - Jess Basser Sanders
"Perhaps we should start with the dumplings themselves, which are, of course, delicious. Worth the trip. Worth planning the trip around. Particularly the soup dumplings, or xiao long bao, which are — you could argue, and I would — the platonic ideal of the form: silky, broth-filled little clouds that explode inside your mouth upon impact. An all-timer of a dumping." - Ryan Bradley
"Oh, Din Tai Fung. With their infamously long lines and much-discussed soup dumplings, no other Chinese restaurant in LA has inspired as much awe, fear, or tweets from @Americana at Brand Memes. Their locations in Glendale, Arcadia, Costa Mesa, Century City, and Torrance are all available for delivery/takeout, so there’s no better time to get your fill of wontons, Shanghai rice cakes, and, if you’re as serious about meal prepping as we are, 20-30 orders of soup dumplings. Order through their website or on most major delivery platforms." - kat hong
"Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, a birthday meal that involves several plates of soup dumplings is a meal we fully endorse. Keep Din Tai Fung in mind. The legendary dim sum chain is offering delivery and takeout from all their SoCal locations (Arcadia, Century City, Glendale, Torrance, and Costa Mesa), which means now matter where you live, you’re probably not too far from piping hot dumplings at your doorstep. Delivery is available on most major platforms." - brant cox
