Dimes serves up chic, health-conscious Californian dishes in a bright, minimalist space that’s buzzing with cool vibes and creative flavors.
"Is Dimes a health food restaurant? One could argue that it is, pointing at least to the presence of bowls, which is what healthy food comes in. The food here is very good, and it’s become so popular that they had to move from their original location into a much larger space across the street. The açaí bowl business is booming. Even though nobody can really pronounce that word." - chris stang
"We love Dimes for breakfast because it offers a rare opportunity to enjoy the trendy, minimalist space in relative peace and quiet, and because the restaurant responsible for this micro-neighborhood also happens to make great breakfast tacos. You’ll get a cheesy, spicy combo of scrambled eggs with tomatillo salsa, cheddar, jalapeño, and hot sauce inside a corn tortilla, which you can enjoy with a cup of great third-wave coffee in relative peace and quiet. "Yummy yummy healthy food. The new location seems as cozy and nicely designed as the previous one." - My Orange Box
"Dimes is the restaurant that started it all, and we like the vegetable-forward New American food here. Sure, all the fixtures look like they were purchased at the MoMA design store, and you’ll be surrounded by the kind of people who inspire Nolita Dirtbag memes, but think of it as an exercise in urban anthropology. Order a wheatgrass margarita and some togarashi potato wedges with green goddess aioli. It sounds silly, but no one here is judging." - Carina Finn Koeppicus, Bryan Kim, Hannah Albertine, Will Hartman
"East Broadway F Even though Dimes is literally responsible for the cultural phenomenon that is (gestures wildly) Dimes Square, we really love the vegetable-forward New American food at this scene-y spot. Sure, all the fixtures look like they were purchased at the MoMA design store, and you’ll be surrounded by the kind of people who inspire Nolita Dirtbag memes, but think of it as an exercise in urban anthropology. This restaurant is also less than two minutes away from the East Broadway F stop, and works as the perfect launch pad for the kind of day when it’s entirely too cold to be out, but also you wanted to leave your apartment.
