"Devon House is a linchpin in the Jamaican gastronomic scene. At the Bakery, there are luxe versions of Jamaica’s signature hand pies, golden puff pastry creations that encase fillings like curry goat, beef, chicken, lobster, shrimp, or callaloo. Sweet options include sweet potato pudding, bread pudding, and rum cake. The only thing that can follow a patty from Devon House is a cone from the treasured Devon House Ice Cream, the other half of the business. Locals gather on the lawn each Sunday for popular flavors like Grapenut, Devon stout, and rum raisin. There are toppings, but these cones are best enjoyed on their own in their natural surroundings." - Leisha Wong

"When inKingston, make time for a stop at Devon House, a grand 1891 Georgian mansionthat wasbuiltfor George Stiebel, Jamaica 's firstnon-white millionaire. The lovely upright house and its 11 surrounding acres are now protected as a National Heritage Site, but that doesn't mean that there's not fun to be had. The sprawling grounds includeshops, restaurants, a bakery, and apopular ice-cream shop, I-Scream. House tours can be arranged, but the grounds, landscaped with stately palms and fountains, are the highlight—it’s a great spot to take a stroll, read, shop, or dine. The mansion and its manicured lawns are also used for weddings and lavish events."

The best patties in Kingston Jamaica. My favourites are the beef, chicken and curry goat. Pricier than your average patty but they are filled to the brim with fillings of your choice and the pastry is perfectly flakey. The desserts are also worth trying also! I’ll be back as always

Been here many times over the years. Lovely quiet place to enjoy food and dessert. Lots of space to sit and hold a meds by yourself or with people, very nice for a date as well. I would recommend their BBQ pork patty from the bakery as well as their Creme Brule from the international bakery. From their ice cream shop I would definitely say Devon Stout! 10/10

The famous Devon House patties are definitely worth the hype. Thick, rich, full, deliciously seasoned, fresh and hot. I loved every bit of it. I'm gonna pick up a few more when I get my massage tomorrow. The service was welcoming and warm. Pleasant. So glad I made it 😁

We tried the curry goat patty for the first time. It was really delicious, nice chunks of meat with the spice just right. Also, I had the bread pudding as a sweet treat...boy oh boy they did a fantastic job with that as well. You can taste the vanilla and sweet spices. Keep up the great work! We will be back soon so hopefully it will not disappoint!

It was very disappointing due to the unfriendly staff. There were two ladies they were not welcoming, did not greet us, did not explain the variety of patties. They had no coffee only soda. They had no chicken patties and we were there 11am. The patties were handed over with no warning that it’s piping hot and with no napkins. Such a pity as the patties tasted amazing and the venue was comfortable.

GREAT patties. I tried the callaloo. Even though it was a little spicy for my taste I needed to try this and I would definitely go back for it, because the flavor is so amazing! The patties weren't too flaky on the outside and the filling was perfect. They also have VERY good fresh juice there. I got the passion fruit and it wasn't spiked with a bunch of ginger like every fruit juice I had everywhere else on the island. I definitely recommend coming here, I didn't try any of the pastries even though they also looked delicious.

Devon House Bakery offers delicious patties with a variety of flavors. While I didn't enjoy the shrimp patty, the other flavors were fantastic and well worth the visit. A great spot for tasty baked goods! Update Kids love the chicken and goat patties.
