Cucina Paradiso Palermo Soho on Postcard

Half the population of Buenos Aires is of Italian descent, however, Italian food is not as prevalent as other cuisines. Chef Donato de Santis owns Cucina Paradiso and serves authentic pasta dishes. Dine on agnolotti con el plin made with Puglia braised lamb, orecchiette and cavatelli maritatta (marriage of two pastas).

A good reliable spot for a quick Pasta fix that’s open all week! While I’ve had mixed experience over the several times I dined there, overall I’m still a returning customer. The menu is vast and varied. Pasta is always fresh and quality is consistent, at least the dishes I’ve tried. The Lasagna is tomato-sauce-free which robs a bit of its allure. At least for me. In my experience the service was adequate and expedient. The staff is always eager to explain the menu and recommend options. Keep it up!

The focacia was so delicious. For appetizers, we had the burrata (ok), pampanella (good) and the aracine (really good). For lunch we had the lasagna (this is a white lasagna and delicious), linguine mare, Parmigiana (essentialkt an ggplant lasagna, very tastey), and the agnolotti (was my favorite personally, veal stuffed pasta in a flavorful broth). For dessert we did the tiramisu (ok), a pistachio and regular cannoli (our favorite). Great stop along the way and our bellies were happy.

We had Sat dinner here, it was very busy. They have Both outdoor & indoor sittings, good vibe. No English menu but server speaks English & very helpful. Food was delicious, small portion size.

Overall it was okay, not the best pasta that I’ve had in BA, and the menu while it has a lot of options I didn’t feel like it was all that unique. I went specifically to get carbonara and was disappointed to find that you can only order it on specific nights. The service was nice and the waiter spoke English, but overall i felt like I got olive oil pasta with some mushrooms

Food here is simply extraordinary. If you like pasta you should give this place a try. There’s no music and it’s a little bit noisy if the place is crowded.

After 3 weeks in Argentina & Chile, today we have decided for a good Italian restaurant (btw I am Italian & pretty picky on food ;). Cucina Paradiso made me feel like home! Authentic tasteful delicious Italian food (from Arancini to Tagliata di Manzo & Tiramisu’!!!). Lucia our waitress was also fantastic, communicative & friendly with every guest. Brava!!! We definitely recommend it!!! Congrats!!!

I accidentally had my most expensive meal here after three weeks in Argentine, $22 USD for a quick casual dinner at 6pm…. I don’t have too much problem w the pasta, just personally don’t like al dente…. And very heavy on butter, I couldn’t finish. Also for the price you might as well continue eating at one of the steakhouses… well it’s Palermo indeed…
