Coyo Taco is the vibrant Wynwood haven for inventive Mexican street food, featuring a lively atmosphere with fresh tacos, potent margaritas, and a secret bar.
"Coyo Taco is a Wynwood taco shop, and you can’t really dance in the dining room without receiving some judgemental looks. However, they do have a little speakeasy club in the back, which is small enough to star in a movie called Honey I Shrunk The Club. Coyo’s lounge is cramped and loud, but the size of the room also makes it feel like a house party. Plus, it’s always a better call than every other terrible Wynwood club. One of the best times to come here is for the longstanding Tuesday night Rum & Bass party, which (as the name implies) involves both lots of rum and lots of bass." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"Just about every big neighborhood in Miami has its own Coyo Taco, and Brickell is part of that club. This casual shop generally isn’t as crowded as the one in Wynwood, but it also doesn’t have as much personality. They still serve the same very good tacos that have us willing to stand in line for 20 minutes - the al pastor, duck carnitas, and fried grouper tacos are all solid picks. There are also burritos in case a few tacos just won’t cut it." - Ryan Pfeffer
"The time to go? Now. It’s the joint adorned with bright-blue crashing waves right next to Panther Coffee. You’ll start by walking up to the counter and placing your order for hand-smashed guac and tacos. They come stuffed with things like 12-hour roasted pork shoulder and cactus. Grab a seat at the rustic wood communal table and get to work on your bounty with a margarita or one of their Mexican sodas...spiked with tequila! Even keep the night going at their small hidden club in the back. It's clear why this spot has become so popular so quickly." - Moonlighter
"Under the helm of executive chef Scott Linquist, this street-food style taqueria has multiple locations to satisfy cravings for Mexican fare. Begin with the Coyo guacamole featuring Hass avocado, cilantro, and pico de gallo, served with crispy chips, or opt for a salad bowl with greens, guacamole, crunchy pumpkin seeds, queso fresco, and smoky chipotle." - Alona Martinez
"Simple and served in a branded plastic cup, the margaritas at Coyo Taco can’t be missed. Protip: Order a gallon for your next gathering and take the magic of the Coyo Taco margarita home." - Amber Love Bond
