"Copal Tree Lodge Formerly Belcampo. Each of the 16 rooms at Copal Tree Lodge is a spacious villa-style suite set on the edge of the jungle, which gives a sense of privacy and peacefulness. Guests shouldn't be surprised to see coatimundi, agouti, and other wildlife while showering in the spa-style bathrooms with their floor-to-ceiling windows. Tile floors, comfortable beds wrapped with gauzy mosquito nets, and private verandas are standard in every suite, as is Wi-Fi and complimentary laundry service, and the hotel has a pool and a restaurant/bar. My time at Copal Tree Lodge was lovely. If you are looking for a secluded getaway in the midst of the rainforest, then look no further. The staff at Copal Tree are all exceptionally kind and helpful. The kitchen/restaurant was delicious. The dinner menu changes every night and there are always lovely options of both local dishes as well as foreign ones. They also gladly accommodated my dietary requests. Most everything they serve is made from scratch using ingredients from their own garden and farm. While I would have liked to explore Punta Gorda more, I absolutely adored staying out at the lodge and exploring the grounds on the hiking trails. I did however go on a few excursions organized by the lodge, the one that stood out was the half day birdwatching. Our guide Matt was thoroughly knowledgeable and took us to various hotspots where we saw 33 bird species and even a family of howler monkeys!

The Copal Tree Lodge is the perfect crossroads of luxury, adventure, health and sustainability. It’s not just a resort; it’s an organic jungle farm that treats its guests like royalty while giving access to stunningly beautiful rainforest views, wildlife, and excursions. The true magic of the lodge are the people though.||We took a coffee cupping tour and went kayaking early in the morning with Andres. His deep knowledge and appreciation for the beautiful ecosystem the farm is situated on was impressive and inspiring. Absolutely serene moments and seeing the beautiful wildlife on the river were a major highlight of the trip. Thank you so much Andres!||All of our tours of the farm were just so cool. We learned about their entire coffee, rum, and chocolate making process from seeds to sipping. It was so wonderful walking through the farm and learning about each plants history and life cycle before actually trying our hands at making coffee and our own chocolate bars. Our guides like Martin, Marcelo, Jamal, and Andres were so knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about their sustainable, organic practices that produce the highest quality ingredients.||That beautiful little farm is the source of one of our other major highlights: the food! Nearly every meal was the best meal of my life. Farm-to-table doesn’t do it justice, everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Melanie and Emelda were so kind and gracious, Ducky and Chee kept the amazing drinks flowing, and we had the time of our lives. The mixology class was a last, and Copalli is the only rum I’ll buy from now on!||Overall, our stay here was unforgettable. If you want to experience true rainforest with the absolute best service and highest comfort, AND have nothing but healthy and mind blowing delicious food, Copali Tree Lodge is the place to be. We will be back as soon as possible!!

Gorgeous setting with a number of activities. The prices definitely reflect the upscale nature of the resort but very much worth it. Extremely kind and attentive staff. Fantastic food and drinks. Comfortable room. I also, very unexpectedly, really enjoyed learning about bird watching - highly recommend at least a half day with Matt.

amazing views and so many fun activities. I love the tortilla making and the mayan ruins. The food is also amazing, The rotating menu is great and as a family, there’s lots of shareable plates. I really recommend if your coming to belize to check it out and enjoy your stay.

The lodge is beautiful, maintained to perfection, but what was out of this world was the people working here. They are super friendly, accommodating, arranged all our activities for the group. We did mixology, Mayan ruins and waterfall, snorkeling with the chef, bean to bar, massages.|The setting of the hotel with the rainforest and river is beautiful.|Highly recommended ❤️❤️

All the staff here are amazing!! They all made our stay so comfortable and got everything we needed. We would definitely be back again & would recommend anyone to stay! The views here are incredible and monkey sightings are the best part. Pack mosquito repellent!!

Copal is a great destination resort, whether you are there for fishing on the flats or reef or just a quiet getaway the place offers you a lot of options. They roast their own coffee, distilled their own rum and make cocoa as well. It’s quiet, there is a river that provides a kayak experience and they have local guided tours.

We had an amazing time at Copal Tree Lodge for our honeymoon. The views from the canopy suites are amazing. We saw a mom/baby howler monkey, several birds, and some cool looking insects. We really enjoyed the infinity pool, which we usually had to ourselves despite all the rooms being booked. Drinks were really good as well! They are somewhat variable depending on the bartender - we had one old fashioned that was smoked with a large ice cube which we loved, wanted to get it again. But it doesn't matter because the drinks are 100x better than you'll get at any other all inclusive and SO WORTH the price. Bartenders and staff members are SO nice and became our friends. Shout out to Elon, he's such a lovely person - protect this man at all costs! Highly recommend a full day of birdwatching with Desmond. We saw close to 68 species I think was the final number, including toucans which I really wanted to see. We also did the full culinary tour and it was super cool to see how everything works. Very interesting and informative. The food was great too and the menu changes daily. They really care about the guests and giving everyone a good experience, everyone is very hospitable. A very different, private experience compared to other resorts that can be overrun with guests. Room was great and the AC worked well so we were comfortable. Evening thunderstorms are relaxing to listen to. Highly recommend visiting!
