Tried this place a couple of weeks ago. I bought the chicken teriyaki plate and was the bomb! It had veggies and rice, everything was tasty. It was enough for my husband and I to have dinner. I paid $14, I think it is a very reasonable price. The best part is that is right in front of my job :)

I tried ordering from Citizen Sprout 2 weeks ago to make my life easier and not have to prepare my son's school lunches. I was so surprised that 4 out of 5 days they delivered food that I did not order! My son ended up not eating any of the meals that were delivered. I think they replaced the meals that I ordered with something else just because I clicked on "gluten-free". I just assumed that they make gluten-free versions of the meals that I chose but instead they replaced the meals without my approval! My son took home all meals UNTOUCHED. They should at least tell parents that if you want gluten-free then you cannot order most of the meals.

We love the family size mac+cheese, chicken nuggets + garlic bread! Yummy, and easy to heat + serve. Our daughter says it's the best mac+cheese in town! We love the healthy salads+ fresh desserts from the Grab+Go counter. Our daughter ate C/S lunches at her school daily for a year and always delicious! The smoothies were a favorite!

i happened to be walking by and saw this very cute store and walked in. They just opened! This is a place to grab and go ready made healthy food for those busy folks! I was hungry so I wanted to try a snack. I bought the Pumpkin Chia Pudding for $6 which comes with pecan granola and yogurt! I am eating it now as I write this review! By the way, this chia pumpkin pudding is really flavorful and filled me up! All their food is made on the premises every day. Melanie, who answered all my questions was very knowledgeable and friendly. Today they were giving out samples so I tried them all! I loved their Ranch Popcorn! $5. Their version of goldfish crackers were really tasty too $8! Their yogert Pretzel mix was pretty good. $8. The menu will change every month. Citizen Sprout also delivers meals and meals for the famiily, kids and all! You can pre order your meals ahead of time for the next few days. This is geared for the busy folks! ' Overall I love this concept and their mission. I am glad I walked by this gem of a store!

Healthy, fresh, good. Stopped by this place for a quick bite on the way to a medical appointment. Salads were so good (and reasonably priced) we bought one of their pre-made meals for takeout. It was a real hit too. Everything here is so tasty and healthy and reasonably priced I can't figure out why is anyone in the area is doing their own cooking anymore.

We've occasionally used Citizen Sprout for their lunch service at my 4 year old daughter's preschool. Last week the school let us know that Citizen Sprout served my daughter completely raw chicken tenders (see attached pictures). Unfortunately given my daughter's age she had already tried to eat the chicken before she was able to tell that it was uncooked. Citizen's Sprout's only response was to refund the $8 that we had paid for her lunch that day and to let us know that an entire batch of uncooked chicken had gone out to various children around Los Angeles. Horrific approach to food safety, accountability, and customer service, especially given the extremely high prices that they charge and the trust we placed in them to provide food for young children.

So, we've been using citizen sprout for over a year, and we love it. We started with lunches for our toddler twin boys @ their preschool. They've eaten most of the healthy meals, and we're thankful they've been exposed to a wide variety of foods. A few months ago, we started having family prepared meals delivered, and these have been pretty wonderful. Healthy, flavorful, and generous portions of everything from smoked brisket to mushroom lasagna. (I really don't like mushrooms, but had to have more of this one!) They always include a super fresh salad or other substantial veggies, and CS does a great job preparing their own sauces/dressings in generous portions. I still snack on their honey butter whenever I toast bread. Overall, a fabulous service for fresh prepared & 100% organic food delivered to your door throughout LA. Can't recommend highly enough!

I have been using citizen sprout for over a year and just love it. Benelyn is so great and responsive. My son loves the food and is super picky. It's nice to find fresh good quality food

Great food, excellent customer service and fair prices. I come at least once a week to pick up food for me and my family and they never disappoint. My favs for breakfast are the overnight oats and breakfast croissant. For lunch and/or dinner you much try the spinach and chicken meatballs and chicken bacon panini sandwiches. Delicious . Can't wait for their fall menu to come out. If you're ever in the neighborhood, you should definitely check out this quaint up and coming boutique grab and go store.

I have been looking for fresh, healthy, ready made food to go for awhile now. Everything I have tried is absolutely delicious! There are plenty of amazing vegetarian options. I will now be picking up ready to go dinner from Citizen Sprout instead of ordering in as I do for those days I am just too tired or busy to make dinner. The food is so much better then any delivery option out there. The staff and owner are incredibly sweet and passionate about their mission. Santa Monica is so lucky to have Citizen Spout move in!!!

I work in the neighborhood and happened upon this adorable store that serves ready-made meals to go. I've tried a bunch of their items and my go-to cold lunches are the soba noodle salad and poached tuna nicoise. I normally don't like cooked tuna (unless it's tuna salad) but this slow poached tuna is beautiful and delicate. The dressings on both these salads are sooo good. I've also had their chicken and spinach meatballs with spaghetti squash and braised short rib with celery root mash. Yum!! They make everything on site and with organic and sustainable produce/products. I will be trying more of their other items for sure. They have a salmon dish that looks delicious, so maybe that next!

Had their avocado toast and it was excellent. The staff was lovely too and it has a great open-air vibe. The food is all organic and healthy. I hope it lasts as the location has seen quite a lot of turn-around. Would definitely recommend.

Came here this afternoon from a friends recommendation. Rainy afternoon and didn't want to cook dinner for kids. I got the Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for kids. A fajita bowl and chicken meatballs for adults. Omg. This food was made with love. No massed produced. Made same day, healthy, clean and ready to go. This may be my new go to take out.
