Chocolat Madrid

10-12 mins walk from El Retiro park. Seems to be popular as it was crowded when we reached. On waiting 5 mins we got the counter seats. Ordered the mix churros and hot chocolate. The staff was kind.

I’ve been there two times - it’s always busy but it depends on time and day. It was busy when I went there for the first time, and I had to wait in line for around 5-10 mins before I could get a seat and order. The churros were nice and warm but the chocolate was the best part. The chocolate was rich and thick. It definitely complemented the churros

We came when they were about to close, but they still welcome us warmly. The churros were good, especially the chocolate! We also tried this pastry with cream and it’s really really good!!!

It was a walk-in on our way to the city center and it was worth it. It felt not as touristy as most places in the city and the chocolate tasted delicious. The stuff was nice. All in one experience was great!

The best churros in Madrid. It's a small space so either go early or he patient. But it's definitely worth your time.

We took a Madrid food tour and sampled chocolate and churros/porras here. I was floored how silky, chocolatey, and lightly sweet the chocolate was. Both churros and porras are great vehicles to bring the chocolate to your mouth. The porras are my favorite. They are light, not oily, and has a hint of salt that balances nicely with the chocolate. I also love that it is within walking distance from our hotel at Sol. We returned here each day we were in Madrid and loved it. The place is small inside, but it is charming and the staff is very helpful and speaks English. Get the churro/porra combo for a taste of each.

Churros were warm, chocolate was not too sweet and not too thick so it was a really warming tasty dipping sauce (and beverage!) Service from Francisco was so nice!

Delicious fairly dark chocolate. Churros are okay but I cannot recommend the porras. They are a bit greasy and if you arrive late you can taste the old oil. As per the name, you should come here for the best chocolate, not the best churros
