Chef Tanya's Kitchen - Palm Desert

I go to Chef Tanya’s Kitchen whenever I’m in Palm Springs. And I’m in Palm Springs every month. I drive to Palm Desert because this location has cinnamon rolls and soft serve 😋 I’m happy and thankful for this place because it’s organic, vegan, always fresh and delicious. Lately been eating daily specials and forgive me but I don’t remember names. Check out my pictures though. SO GOOD! Staff is amazing! Place itself is very pleasant to dine in.

Wow! What a gem. We stopped here for dinner and dessert and just had to come back for breakfast, and everything was exceptional. The soft serve ice cream (made with oat milk) that they have is my favorite vegan ice cream that I have ever had. It's amazing. They have shaded and comfy outdoor seating. For dinner we had the chili soup, some garlic bread, the Guadalajara burger, and the Chupacabra Chic'n sandwich. Everything was super full of flavor and delicious. For desert, we got an ice cream to split and a slice of chocolate cake. The ice cream was absolutely wonderful. The cake was the weakest point of the meal, a little dry. But, it was still tasty. We knew during dinner that we just had to come back for breakfast (and more ice cream). We ordered a bagel sandwich and a tostada. My partner loved his sandwich. He gave me a piece of the tofu on it, and I normally don't like tofu that isn't very crispy, but was super tasty and flavorful. My tostada had a bunch of guac on it (not just a tiny scoop like some places do), and the flavors of the beans and guac were rich. The jalapeños added a nice kick (although, I'm sure you could get it without them if you don't like spicy). The ice cream was, again, amazing. I also got an agua fresca that was really pleasant on the hot morning. The staff members were very nice, were happy to answer any of our questions, and were generally quite helpful. 10/10

Let me start by saying I am not vegan. But I love vegetarian dishes and wanted something lite and healthy for lunch in the 115 degree heat. A quick search led me to Chef Tanya's Kitchen - and am I glad!! My husband and I split the Modern Hippie Veggie sandwich and Chupacabra Chik'n. My daughter devoured the Chili Crack Cheese Fries. It was all DELICIOUS! We then went next door to pet the kitties during the cat adoption event (so hard not to take one!) And went back for the Kreamery - Oat Milk Ice Cream Choco-Van Twist. So yummy!! The shop offered so many great items as well, and you can tell each thing was carefully curated to compliment the mission and vision of Chef Tanya. This was the best vegan deli/market/kreamery/cat adoption place I have ever been to. Seriously though, I am definitely inspired to explore more vegan options. And you do not have to be vegan to enjoy the yummy food. Outstanding!!

Then there were three doors but I wasn't sure what was what, and then a door opens and I'm invited inside in the most warm and welcoming manner! Any awkwardness or discomfort I might have felt as a first time visitor went right out the door, or rather, it stayed out the door and I went in! I tried to contain my excitement because I had already read previous reviews and had a good sense of the food menu, which was my primary reason for visiting! I've been 100% vegetarian for more than 20 years but finding good vegan options can be a challenge. It gets easier every day but unfortunately a lot of that is due to the abundance of fake meat products, not good quality homemade food. So from what I read, this was the place to go! I decided to make it really easy on my first visit and asked for a recommendation and ordered it without hesitation. It was the chupacabra style chicken sandwich and it was amazing! I loved the slight heat, the slight tanginess of the jalapenos, the ratio of filling to bread, everything. It is going to be hard to come back and try something new based on how good this sandwich was. When I finished eating I had to look around the store but didn't really have plans to shop. I will definitely return and browse the unique selection of foods and other items. I did, however, take home a deli salad the "Tu-no" and a couple of desserts, All of which I have already enjoyed. I also got their plant-based soft serve before I left. The texture and taste was spot on for me. I cannot wait to come back. Although this location is a little far from me, I do end up going out to Palm Desert quite often to shop. But I was told about another location closer to me in Palm Springs. Overall, I was amazed by the friendliness, the warm welcome, and of course the food!

This was the top search result from Google when I searched for 'gluten free' and 'vegan'. My friend with Celiac Disease would not do well here – no gluten free bread. There were many items with garlic, and since I am garlic sensitive, I was forced to break my eczema prevention no wheat diet. We ordered BLTAs and I added cracked cheese (I expected a vegan cheese slice) but it was like mushed cream cheese which made my sandwich thick, soggy and messy to eat. I was very impressed with the tofu bacon, so we came back three more times. I tried the Coachella Forever and Mini Greens salada. The key lime dessert was apparently very delicious. They have fridges and freezers full of take-away items, and a pantry shelves full of Japanese flavours and I really want to take some home with me. I bought the mango lime dressing, but it started sweating after three days, so I ended up throwing most of the jar away. We bought a blueberry pie, by it wasn't like a real pie, so we threw half of that away as well. BLTA is the only item we like and we will come back for it, the levain sour dough was chewy and I enjoy the tofu bacon a lot. If they offered gluten free bread or even use Vietnamese rice wrap on the sandwiches for a gluten free option, we would have eaten here many more times.

Very nice place.. I love the atmosphere, the wooden utensils and the employees were very accommodating as well. We tried quite few things but my favorites were the veggie lentil soup and vegan ice cream.

Heathy and flavorful vegetarian and vegan option … they even have vegan ice cream. Cute place with beautiful decor and a shop to take goodies home. Love love this place

Delicious creative soup, salad, sandwiches. Great deserts. Some staff really friendly, some a bit more perfunctory but all care about customer satisfaction. They know the products very well and are very efficient! Indoor and outdoor seating and well curated merchandise throughout plus freezers of takeaway goodies.

The space is eclectic and full of personality. The food is tasty. I'm not vegan but I enjoyed my chicken sandwich and the fries were . The hibiscus agua Fresca is delicious, if a tad over sweet. Cant wait to try the rest of this innovative menu!

My first experience with Chef Tanya's creations was in August when we were in the Palm Desert area to buy a house. We were in the Hilton Garden Inn and I had takeout: chicken chupacabra sandwich and an apple cobbler. Immediately I was a fan, for the sandwich had the perfect flavor, seasoning and the bread was fantastic. I loved the cobbler as I have loved cobblers back East and this was a superior one! Yesterday I stopped in as I found out that the carry Rebel Cheese. I skipped through this delightful, warm and welcoming shop finding treasure after treasure. I found a chèvre Rebel cheese and the balsamic fig cheese, some pumpkin butter, bagels, and a local gelato with tangerine and marmalade. I did not have time to wait for a sandwich as I had to be elsewhere but you can be sure I am going to make an opportunity come along, very soon. When you enter, you can feel the love of the customers spread out over the separate rooms. Each room of the cafe has seating as well as well-placed delicacies. I love the energy of the staff who are simply wonderful. This place is a gift and I will gladly pay for the most lovingly prepared and locally sourced items. When I see their instagram page I am instantly adding items to my next grocery list. I think my Christmas and birthday gifts should be located at Chef Tanya's. Hint, hint.

Food:B, everything was fresh and hot. But not impressive. Service: A, Cashier greeted us and was helpfully, polite and courteous. Cleanliness: A, lnside and outside dining areas were clean. Value: B, Sandwiche prices are high, considering they come without any sides. Ambiance: C, more like a "take out " restaurant then a "eat in"

Recently, on a trip to Palm Desert, I stopped by Chef Tanya's Kitchen for dinner. The place was really cute--half ice cream shop and half small store stocked with lots of vegan items, plus a café where you can order food. The lady helping us was super nice and recommended some of their popular items. We went with the Guadalajara burger and a fried chicken sandwich from the special menu, plus a refreshing agua fresca (forgot the flavor, but it wasn't too sweet). We also got some fries. I'm not super familiar with vegan food, but I eat it often because my girl loves it. Both the burger and the sandwich had protein that tasted like real meat, which made them really enjoyable. The only downside was that the vegan bread was a bit dry, but nothing a little extra ketchup couldn't fix. Overall, I loved the meal and the atmosphere, and I'd definitely come back if I was in the area for a nice, healthy bite.

For some reason this was in my YELP favorites but we walked in to realize it was a vegan restaurant which we had not expected. Being hungry, we went with it and the girl who took our order helped us find the most popular items so we could see what it was all about. In the sandwich category we ordered a Modern Hippie Veggie for $16.25 which was like a salad between two pieces of bread. I'll tell you, your mouth is not big enough to eat this thing! It tastes like fresh California living. The bread is coated with "Crack cheese," some sort of vegan delight, for sure. My boyfriend didn't think it had much flavor. Then under the Tempeh Powerburger category, we ordered the Guadalajara! for $16.95. This had Anaheim chile, caramelized onions, guacamole, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo. Very messy and flavorful with the chiles being the best part (and I hate spicy!) We also through in FRIES! Organic, hand cut, tossed in Chef T's spice mix. $7.50. We ate our food outside and the girl outside was super friendly and stopped by multiple times to make sure we had what we needed.

Finally got to experience Chef Tanya's today. We went for breakfast. Understand that between 9 AM and 11 AM breakfast is their only option. We ordered two breakfast entrees, both of which can easily be split. BREAKFAST TOSTADA Delicious! The tostada was hot and fresh. The avocado and black beans gave the dish substance. The seasoning combined with the fresh jalapenos made this dish work. Clearly a dish I shall order again. AVOCADO TOAST Their choice of whole grain bread was perfect. Avocados, tomatoes all premium quality. While the avocado toast was exceptional the tostada was better. Service was solid 5 stars. Decor and ambience were amazing. I'm planning to return just to go thru their retail. So many good things to buy. I could easily drop a couple of hundred bucks on retail at Chef Tanya's. We're not vegans. Regardless we loved this place. The food, service and ambience were all solid 5 star. We will be back!

I really want to like this place but they seriously need some more gluten free options! I really wanted to try a burger or sandwich but the only options for gluten free were SALADS! I ordered the Thai Tofu Salad... it was OK, I just prefer not to eat salads with lots of chunky leaves. Also, it seemed that all of the desserts were made with sugar. I wish they used some other sweeteners as I avoid sugar. It IS super cute though, nice gift shop, service was excellent and updated decor!

As a non-vegan eater and barbecue connoisseur. We were blown away by the variety of foods, desserts, and take home goods. The food was delicious and their specialty agua fresca drink was out of this world world. Like I said before I am not a vegan, but their food at this location is Goooooood!!

Excited to finally this restaruant and it did not disappoint! Upon entering the spacious restaurant, me and my coworkers were warmly greeted by restaurant staff. After reviewing the paper menu while waiting to order, I ordered a caprese tempeh burger with a side of smoked children pasta, while my coworkers orders the modern hippie veggie sandich with a boogie bar as well as a bowl of chili cheese crack fries and the daily soup. Our food arrived quickly, was prefectly cooked and was delicious. I was plesantly surprised to see that in addition to this Chef Tanya's location having a restaurant, there is also a variety of vegan items for sale as well as a spearate areas of the store selling vegan soft serve ice-cream. With so many delicious things available to eat and cool things to buy, I will definitely be bringing my husband to this restaurant again sometime soon.

This place is fabulous!!! I love meat and can honestly say I don't miss it when I eat here. The food always has enough flavor and texture to make me happy. We started eating here a few years ago when they were at the previous location. So happy they expanded. The food, drinks, and desserts are all very good. If you're interested in a great meal try this place. You won't be disappointed.

Palm Springs/Palm Desert is not always the most vegan-friendly, so I was very excited to try this spot! I ordered the hippie veg sandwich and pear tart (warmed). Both were great. Lots of good menu items and goodies in the shop. Lots of available seating and parking. Only thing is that I don't love overly-manufactured vegan products, so I would recommend sticking to the homemade cashew-based "crack cheese" rather than the fake cheese alternatives that are in other menu items.

I am so happy to find Tanya's in Palm Desert. I bought a few to-go items today and everything from their Crack Cheese (made with cashews) to the Moroccan Roasted Cauliflower was outstanding. I also bought the Gordo chili which I cannot wait to try for lunch tomorrow. Service was friendly and the setting was super cute and eclectic. Tanya's had a nice selection of sandwiches and salads that you could eat there or to go. I'm returning to try a sandwich or two. The store had a cute selection of high-end dry goods like Rancho Gordo dry beans, good olive oil and other cute gifts. Check out this place if you are a vegan or meat eater who loves delicious, from-scratch food.

Chef Tanya's Kitchen intrigued me. I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian. I wanted something healthy. This place rates well so I thought I would give it a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. The exterior has curb appeal. They have a wooden patio with outdoor seating and misters for those very hot days. No one was sitting outside though, they were inside. The entry to the restaurant leads to the cashier and all around this room are vegan products. There is another room for dining. I ordered take out and paid in advance. I was greeted when I came in. My food was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chupacabara chick'n sandwich. The torpedo roll was pretty good. It had a nice Crunch to it. I liked the pickled jalapeños but the taste was subdued. There was 2 small slices of seitan. I really couldn't taste it to be honest. I felt overall that this was just a regular veggie sandwich, nothing special. 7/10. I think I should've tried one of the power burgers or salad. I got the apple tart desert. It was OK. It was really dry. The apple slices on top were all stuck together. They were difficult to chew. The crust was almost there but not quite. 7/10

Healthy options and a lot of items for purchase. The food was good, the fries were overcooked. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Was in town for a bit and yelped a vegan place in the area, must say Chef Tanya's did not disappoint . Satisfied and perfect for cravings. From potato salad to Mac n cheese to ice cream they really hit all the points. Highly recommend! Mini market in restaurant too with lots of snack options and to go ready meals . They also had many dessert options and parking was easy and ample . Would come back if I'm in the area :)

I've always loved Native Foods and I was so sad when they closed down the locations in Orange County, so when I was visiting Palm Springs and found Chef Tanya's kitchen I was so excited! All the food was so fresh and yummy and healthy. And the staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something that tastes home-cooked! They also have really cool ambiance, and healthy ice cream!

Having been lucky enough to be in the area again recently, once again Chef Tanya's was a daily ritual for us. The quality of the food, the friendly service & the consistency of the whole experience is something the whole Chef Tanya's crew should be proud of! The community that has flourished and grown around good conscience food is amazing. Thanks again for everything & looking forward to our next adventure! The food is really good here. Great vegan oasis in the desert (Palm). Service is friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant never feels "rushy" and they''ve a great selection of vegan products so be OK to spend for them. Real vegan deserts too.

Vegan paradise? Yes!!! Everything here is vegan, which is rare to find. There's a nice selection of vegan items for sale, and they also have fresh items as well as ice cream. Their ice cream is ridiculously delicious. We got a strawberry lemon shortcake smoothie, and I felt like I was eating straight ice cream... With zero guilt. I also had to cinnamon roll with the frosting, which was very dope, but very delicious.I also got a carrot cake and a chocolate cookie to go. Almost forgot their incredibly delicious, herbal chai. I'm definitely coming back and I want to try out some of their amazing salad dressings.

GO HERE NOW AND ORDER ALLLLL THE VEGAN THINGS! Two vegans walk in hungry, sad (after a weekend of non vegan friendly eats), and ready for redemption. Praise Joesus, we got it! We had a tempeh burger, the taco salad, a chocolate cupcake, ice tea and aqua fresca. Everything was SO good, fresh, and of excellent quality. The gifts between the 3 shops (creamery, cafe, and cat adoption) are so cute! We got a few fun vegan stickers, jams, and sauces to take home. Would def go here again, And again. =)

Tasty food that I assume is healthy lol and decent portions! I like that they have hot food made to order as well as a selection of ready-to-go takeout options in their fridges. My favorite was their chili burger and their fries did not disappoint! Decent amount of indoor seating. Also liked how they had knick knacks to browse like coffee beans from specialty roasters, candles, funny cards, etc

Love love love this healthy, all-vegan spot! My mom picked up the Modern Hippie Veggie sandwich ($16.25) for me to devour since I was coming in on a late(ish) flight. This bad boy is packed with "crack cheese," avocado, gomasio (roasted sesame salt), tomato, jicama, shredded carrot, cucumber, purple pickled cabbage, beautiful lettuce, and mayo on country levain bread. Wow there is so much flavor going on! It's definitely different from other veggies sandwiches I've had before. I appreciate the variety of ingredients (and nutrients) involved. Personally I could have done without the generous slice of jicama, but it's certainly not a deal breaker. The next day I enjoyed the Peanut Butter Cup Parfait ($4.5) and wholly s*** it's good! This treat is a creamy combo of vegan cream cheese, organic tofu and peanut butter with chocolate chips and choc cookie crumbles on top, sweetened with agave. Not to sweet, but extremely delicious. My only mistake was not requesting a second or third serving. I also tried a Boogie Bar ($6), which is banana bread with choc chips, oats, coconut, and sliced almonds on top, sweetened with maple syrup. It was decent... truthfully it's quite hard to follow the perfect parfait. I can't wait to stop by and enjoy more menu offerings during a future visit! Also wishing Seattle had spots like this...

This rating is for their Kreamery where they serve oat milk-based soft serve. I grabbed their Rocky Road special and it was out of this world good. My dad opted for their "Twist" and said it was way better than the frozen yogurt he was going to have. He was impressed how far vegan ice cream/soft serve has come. We loved how they were all with natural ingredients- a must-try for anyone visiting the Palm Desert area

I order the same thing every time I come here - ceasar salad - the dressing is epic and the croutons perfection. Soo good. Everything is vegan including the ice cream delish!

If you're vegan you'll love it. Lots of unfamiliar foods on the menu. Celebrities seem to like to eat here. I liked the oddity that I ordered but can't remember what the heck they called it. It is a little too expensive for what you get.

I've been here a few times and have to say, this is one of my favorite places to eat! I love the quality of their food and variety. They have ice cream, vegan of course, which is fantastic! Inside there is a little gift shop area with interesting items from candles to kitchen wares to books and food items. Everyone here is really nice as well, love this place!

Claims to be a health conscious eatery but has no "real" gluten free options. No GF bread, even the tortilla chips contain wheat, GF muffins were in the same case as regular muffins! The only kids option was chips and guacamole with jicama roots. Super disappointing

Always a solid choice for vegan. We went with the Guadalajara burger today. It didn't disappoint. Chef Tanya was kind enough to allow us to hold kitten adoptions next door, adjacent to her shop. I had my hubby who is a big meat eater meet me here for dinner. He enjoyed it. Vegan doesn't have to be boring & tasteless. The shop is adorable. Lots of cute things to look at. I've previously purchased a cute little tile & tote bag here. Stop in when in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Hands down the best vegan sandwiches in any town! House-made deli meats with a cracked cheese that wil have you fiending for more. Chupacabra & El Cubano is a must. French Dip has been my favorite special. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

I discovered this little gem in Palm Springs while on the work trip. I have since gone back almost everytime I am out there for work! They are vegan, and although I am not, I have found everything I've had in here is delicious! Nice spot for a quick lunch, and a healthy meal. I usually get the taco salad, and always get the agua Fresca (they change up the fruit in here all the time, and you get free refills) and usually end with the lemon bites for dessert. The service is fast and friendly, and the they also have nice open seating, with indoor and outdoor options, and lots cool trinkets to buy in here as well. They also have vegan soft serve available as well. If you are looking for a healthy and tasty meal while in Palm Springs, give this a try.

I loved Chef Tanya's. I didn't realize you can buy healthy products there too. Their breakfast burrito was delicious. I will definitely be back!!

The food qualities is fantastic. You can tell they use really great ingredients, creative recipes, love it.

Quirky location and not too cheap, but the food is AMAZING. When in town, we do take-away, and the orders are always prompt and accurate. TASTES GREAT, wonderful textures, and "feels good," given the high-quality plant-based ingredients.

Vegan or omnivore, this place is a sanctuary for those looking for a healthy yummy option for lunch, dinner or dessert. Their ice cream is wonderful, you won't even miss the cow. Try the strawberry shortcake haboob, they remind me of blizzards from Dairy Queen, but without the stomach ache or sugar crash.

Love, love, love this place! It's not too often that I come across a vegan/vegetarian restaurant that I actually like. And Chef Tanya's, they nailed it. If I could, I'd eat here every day, their food here is so flavorful and delicious. My favorite here was the pastrami mami, I have no idea how they made this sandwich taste so good, but it's phenomenal. My friend and I also tried the loaded sweet potato fries, and it was also yummy. I also love how this store/restaurant is full of random trinkets, to recipe books, to t-shirts, and desserts. Definitely put this on your list to visit if you are ever in the Palm Springs/Coachella area. Had a delightful experience and will return again to try the other entrees!

Ohhhh my gosh... a little dramatic, I know.... But this place is what I needed. My husband and I were looking for a light meal before StageCoach, and boy are we glad we found this. Currently sitting in the restaurant writing this review as we speak. Everything, and I mean, everything we had was delicious, full of life, and flavor. We got the Guadalajara Burger, Tasty Thai Salad, Fries, and a Guru Chai to drink. They also sell various imported goods that are vegan: Bon Bon gummies and Torres Chips... both of which are great and flavorful. After what we ate yesterday and spent a hefty amount on (stagecoach has nothing but tater tots, burgers, and grilled cheese... at almost every corner), we so appreciate this! It reminds me of food I would create at home, and this place just delivered... wow The service: efficient and friendly. Ambience: open and calm. Whoever you are Chef Tanya, Thank You!

Always love coming here when we are in the area. There's a cozy sitting area inside and outside. Great vegan food. Fresh ingredients. Flavorful and well seasoned. Very generous with the sauces. I highly recommend coming here to try out all the goodies!

Drove an hour to this restaurant and was a bit disappointed by the service. We ordered ahead and somehow our order entirely disappeared despite having paid for it online. There was some confusion but we ended up paying twice until later when it was apparent the the staff that we did make an order online. Overall the experience was less than pleasing. The food was fresh and good and there are lots snacks and drinks to chose from. In addition, the store has a cute indoor and outdoor ambience. There's also a souvenir shop with cute trinkets to chose from!

This place is just...so...awesome. I was a little skeptical as I wasn't sure what I thought of a restaurant/gift shop. When I walked in, I was immediately enchanted. The atmosphere is cute and relaxed, the employees were kind, and Chef Tanya was right there. I ordered a seitan pastrami, and I truly don't think I would have realized it wasn't pastrami if my eyes had been closed. The roasted cauliflower salad was also delicious! It was my first time eating seitan and I ended up taking home a package of pastrami, asada, and chorizo...also, a funny little enamel pin that says, "Secret Society of Seitan". I am absolutely enchanted by this place! Although I don't live that close, I will be back again and again. I highly recommend to vegans and omnivores alike.

Quick stop in on my road-trip through Palm Desert. Yelped "vegan" with bathroom. To my pleasant surprise my nap navigation route me to Chef Tanya's kitchen! It's all vegan - fantastic! There are three parts to this place, the one on the left that has a breakfast dairy case and saucer, the table, the middle part, which is the restaurant with a couple other refrigerator cases, favorite items on one side and dessert to go vegan items on the other. The third area is another little shop with a long hallway lined with a large selection of vegan cookbooks leading back to the clean family bathroom. I had a really nice selection of looseleaf tea and back piece to buy. I needed a caffeine pick me up refresher, so I ordered a black tea with lemon. A good solid tea over ice to go, not bitter, balanced just right. I tasted the soup of the day: creamy cauliflower, which was very good, it reminds me of a tasty potato soup. I grabbed a mini key lime parfait dessert out of the fridge case. Good, a bit softer than expected, cream cheese pie, which is what I was expecting, still delicious marginally tangy, good balance of sweet & tart. Is saw the yelp top 10 rated vegan ice cream/soft serve, but sadly the machine is broken . Something for next time. They had a huge cinnamon roll in the breakfast pastry case and some other baked muffin's & things that looked good, but I resisted as it late afternoon. I could have gotten it and sat & made myself an afternoon tea but opted to eat my key lime parfait as I just wanted to limit my stop to a quick snack. I would've gotten an envelope of loose leaf tea or a Tea tin, but at $17 & $37 it seemed on the high side a chance to sit and drink a cup to sample first. Maybe next time. It definitely seems like a good option for breakfast or pull it together do it yourself afternoon tea. But it's vegan vegan vegan which is the best part; downside: quite expensive over all but then again that maybe healthier higher quality plant based ingredients. Nice selection of menu items & packaged vegan food groceries to go. It's a feel good place too, By the door on you see that they have pamphlets for animal rescue, elephant refuge, and host house cat pet adoption once a month, very very cool!

I was back in town and had to try this place again. So many options that it's hard to pick what to order! I skipped lunch and was having a later dinner so it was hard not to order everything! haha. I went with the Bahn Mi & You because a restaurant in Sac (Mendocino Farms) has an amazing vegan bahn mi. The pictures online looked like maybe not that much tofu so I paid $2.5 more to get extra, but it wasn't needed. There was so much yummy flavor in this sandwich - Seared garlic chili tofu, pickled daikon and carrot, cucumber, jalapeño pickles, cilantro, mint, basil, spicy mayo. I'm not really a mayo fan, but I left it on because the sandwich at Mendocino Farms tastes pretty dry without it or avo added. I then was debating on a side (fries, salad, etc.) or dessert. Another hard decision! Because I was super hungry, I ruled out salad. The fries looked bomb, but I try not to eat many of them...it was between fries and chocolate cake - the fries win me over. Organic, hand cut, tossed in Chef T's spice mix. Comes with your choice of dipping sauce. I'm boring so just got ketchup. However, I hardly used any sauce because the fries were amazing on their own. Lots of seasoning so almost like hand cut curly fries (that weren't curly either). Let's just say that I'm obviously coming back again when I'm in town next. it's going to be hard not to get the same thing because it was so good! ... and cake!

You know, when we chose Chef Tanya's for lunch, we didn't realize it was vegan, we just saw that the reviews were going crazy so we decided to give it a go! The whole place is so eclectic and cool! I really enjoyed walking around looking at the merchandise and groceries while we waited on our food. Chef Tanya was all over the place keeping things in order, delivering food and such, which was really neat to see. I got the modern hippie veggie sandwich and fries with pesto ranch and my husband got the pastrami mami sandwich. We both REALLY enjoyed our meals, especially the pesto ranch - my goodness that sauce is special. Whether or not you're vegetarian, vegan, or none of the above, I think you'll enjoy Chef Tanya's!

I don't nominally give bad reviews but Sriracha Cheesy Panini was awful barely any Cheese or Avocado, just a bunch of soggy tasteless onions. Very disappointing and way overpriced. Certainly not like the photo from the biz. My wife got the curry bowl special, It was ok again not worth the money. The only thing I liked was the chocolate mousse. The other desserts were not good. If you want good vegetarian food go to an Indian restaurant. I don't get all the 5 star reviews I guess they are not used to good food.

I'm so happy we found Chef Tanya's Kitchen. Clean and inviting place. Excellent customer service and pleasant customers who were there. We got there before the rush. The food is out of this world amazing.

Kitchen and Kreamery are TOP TIER!!!! I will sit at this cafe for breakfast lunch and dinner thats how much i like it. Breakfast bagel sandwich is so insanely good. Mac and cheese creamy and flavorful. I actually wasnt really a fan of the rainbow sandwich, but to each their own I thought this was gross but my bf liked it! Also wasnt a fan of their hot chocolate and mediterranean chips. Do not get me started on the softees- we got the strawberry lemon cheesecake one- Holy shit i might fly back to palm springs just for another taste... Sweetest and nicest staff ever, and i lovedddd walking around the cafe and seeing all the vegan/ cruelty free products and snacks- such a good idea. Owner if your reading this, I have partners ready to open locations on the east coast. SO GOOD!!!

Such a great restaurant for vegans and non vegans alike! Quality ingredients, healthy food, and great flavors! They innovate ingredients like tempeh into great burgers and wonderful dishes. A great stop for lunch no matter the season. There's so many options and even a store you can get hard to find ingredients! The potato salad is probably my favorite it's amazing, creamy, and full of flavor!

We were in Palm Dessert for a weekend event and I think we ate here 3-4 times. I LOVE vegan spots that are also like little boutique vegan culinary and crafts stores and this is what Tanya's is. Lovely decor, and while the prepare your food you can just wander around and explore all the little specialty foods and eco items for sale. But I wouldn't care about any of that if the food wasn't bomb! It was just so good... and it felt healthy. So many vegan restaurants rely on fried processed foods but not this place.
