Very good hotel on the street in central Valletta so expect some noise. Ultra modern black and white interior with colourful art on the walls. We had a lovely suite with separate shower,bathroom and dressing table area. Comfy bed and pillows. Rather gloomy dining area but excellent breakfast. We enjoyed the eggs Benedict. Helpful staff.

Wonderful stay here. Great staff. The restaurant is excellent but only opens if there’s bookings. Great breakfasts. Close to everything in the city and close to the wharf to catch the ferry across the harbour. Happily go back when next in Malta. Good bed. Good bathroom

Had a lovely time staying at this charming boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta's Old Town. The staff was exceptionally dedicated to making this a memorable stay, e.g., being as attentive as remembering breakfast preferences, ready to serve one's preferred coffee choice right after coming down for breakfast. In addition, they provided tips what to explore, where to dine - always with a big smile on their faces.||The room was cosy, with a lovely outside terrace to round off the night after a day of exploration, listening to the sounds of beautiful Valletta.||From Casa Ellul you are a max. 10-15min stroll away from all the sights that the Old Town has to offer. ||Make this hotel your home during your visit to Malta - you will not regret it!

If you care about comfortable and uninterrupted sleep - avoid at all cost. Underneath the rooms is a restaurant and the noise that comes from it is really loud. If the owner wanted to have two facilities in one object they should adapt the rooms to be soundproof cause not all the guests are coming to Malta to party. I’ve tried calling the reception - no one picked up the phone. Definitely my last stay here and no one from the company won’t stay here either. Nightmare.

This is literally a gem in Malta's old town. Discreet yet elegant, cozy and personal. However, it is the warm, personal and friendly service by Renniel and team that makes it a true gem. From registration process to morning breakfast to sightseeing suggestions, every engagement felt personal and genuine. It was like being taken care in my own home. As a guest were not just taken care of, it seems needs were anticipated. I had a wonderful time and experience. I will certainly make it my home when I visit with my family in future.

A charming boutique hotel located in the heart of Valletta, ideal for exploring this lovely city. Small but extremely comfortable bedroom. Staff were all wonderful: friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfasts were excellent and we enjoyed two dinners in the hotel’s excellent restaurant.|Definitely worth considering if you are planning a site-seeing trip to the capital of Malta.

A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of old Valetta. Delightful Slajanna was there to welcome us with a friendly smile and farewell us at the end of our stay. The room was very comfortable with everything you could need. The little balcony overlooking the street was the perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee whilst watching Valetta wake up. The doors are double glazed so no need to worry about street noise. We slept very well. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with plenty of options. Ren was there to ensure the coffee was at the ready, and the day was started with friendly chats. Ideally located to explore Valetta on foot with great access to ferries if you need to go further afield, Casa Ellul is the perfect place to stay.

Very mixed reviews.||Pro: it is in the very best location, in the center of historic old Valletta on a pedestrian street. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is made to order from a very nice menu. Reception answered all our sightseeing questions.||Con: the atmosphere of the hotel and staff is uncomfortable and weird . The overall impression is trying to be elegant but instead being grim, dark, and definitely not like the cheerful, friendly feeling of the rest of the city.|Rooms are large but cold, and not appealing and the shower is part of the bathroom, with no curtain or door so half the bathroom is wet and dangerously slippery. The staff is either rude ( when I asked if we could change rooms because our room faced onto a dark courtyard and we literally could not see the sky or even much light, I was told that maybe we should try the Melia hotel instead!), unfriendly ( when we paid extra to have someone at the hotel meet us at the airport to take us to the hotel, the person who met us was late and never said anything to us, not even "welcome to Malta"), or overly obsequious/servile and almost scared.|No one seemed comfortable or genuinely friendly.||Location, cleanliness and food are excellent, staff and general atmosphere is weird if not depressing.
