"The atmosphere at this high-end bookstore in Colonia Roma brilliantly walks the line between book-as-information and book-as-object. The visual impact is absolute: Impeccable volumes are showcased on matching shelves that rise like cliff faces on either side of a long table that also supports eye-catching tomes. The inventory is focused on art, architecture, design, fashion, and photography, with forays into food and film. Titles clever as well as weighty spur readers to take on abstruse theory, or paradigm-shifting essays, made more amenable in physical books (remember those?) that are downright gorgeous. Every title on offer was gathered from the booksellers’ associations with indie presses or was collected as they made their way along the global art and design circuits."
"Housed in a whitewashed, renovated home in the Roma and decorated with sleek bookshelves, casually placed Jean Prouvé chairs, succulents, and ferns, Casa Bosques offers a curated selection of indie magazines, journals, and books from small publishers. Their selection goes way beyond what you'll find in any of the city's more established bookshops and is a godsend for anyone interested in fashion, art, and design, as independent titles like The Gentlewoman, Apartamento, AnOther, Purple are hard to come by. Visitors are invited to leaf through the titles and make themselves comfortable in the homey space (they also make small batch chocolate bars). This summer, they opened up a new shop in Polanco's new mini boutique complex, Anatole 13."

"The shop is a trove of independent books, periodicals, and style magazines, not to mention founder Rafael Prieto's deliciously packaged chocolate bars."
I was on the hunt for zines, art books and gifts, and this place hit that spot for me nicely. They don’t have a huge selection of things, but it’s well curated. The staff was helpful, friendly, and spoke English if your Spanish isn’t so good. If you are looking for post cards, ruso print type things, and ambience, this should get you there.

This place LOOKS cool, and they do have some interesting stuff. But they are absolute rip-off artists. I got charged TEN DOLLARS for a single postcard (which was probably free to them, because it's an ad). I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world, and even here, postcards are less than $1, maybe up to $2 if it's something special. I didn't even notice until I got home and checked my receipt. Seriously, avoid this place unless you want to get fleeced. They're basically thieves.
Update: If it's true that this purchase supports the artist (which I'd like to validate), the seller could have explained the high price at the moment of the transaction and not after receiving a negative review. The price of other postcards feels high anyway.

Cool bookstore! I specifically stopped by to pick up the cool post cards with the images of Mexican cuisine staples they make for great gifts! Also there is a really cool perfume brand called Fueguia 1833 downstairs.

Very interesting bookstore with a lot of Mexico City-centric books. Some things are quite expensive, but you’re supporting local artists by buying things here that you may not be able to buy anywhere else.

This building is a bookshop about art and design.
Price: The price of the books is average depending on the book you carry it will be the price, its average pressure is from $140 to $1500
Location: The place where this is quite confusing can't be seen at first sight, it's quite nice. The entrance is, the stairs are made of white wood and there are plants
Service: The girl who takes care of you is quite nice and very friendly

Very cutesy little book store. I bought a nice local screen print to bring home and frame too!

Lovely place to visit, especially on a rainy day. The house it is located in is very old and slightly tilted so there's a chance you might feel like something's off but everything's okay.
The books are about architecture, some design and art zines.

Such a unique collection and curation of books that they sell. I could stay there for a whole day.

Yelp
Visité este lugar para encontrar un libro sobre el arte de la conversación. El personal era muy grosero, despectivo y condescendiente. Afortunadamente, encontré una tienda diferente.

Yelp
For a very trendy bookstore, head to Casa Bosques. It's on the second floor of an art gallery and doubles as a chocolate shop with an entire wall of local chocolate with design-forward packaging. The books cover two rooms, placed in ways that make the room pop. Amidst the books are notebooks and other items.

Yelp
What a gem. it was a little hard to find or get in, rather but well worth the time to find this book seller. The selection is amazing and it's so thoughtfully curated with lovely displays. I loved the old maps and the socially conscious books and bags.

Yelp
I love this store!! Very beautifully designed, and so lovely inside. In addition to a great and eclectic selection of books and magazines, they sell chocolate, stationery, and some cute totes and t-shirts (I had to leave with a tote bag). I bought all my Mexico City gifts here! I asked a ton of questions, and the staff was so helpful too. Will definitely be coming back!
