The restaurant within the lodge offered limited gluten-free options, but the staff appeared well-informed. I tried the Swahili curry, and it was absolutely delicious. While the rooms were okay, they were unfortunately not thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, if someone starts a fire at the camp, the smoke tends to drift into the rooms.

Ambience: It’s such a beautiful place with well manicured lawns and a decent view of the lake. There’s a lot of camping space with clean toilets and bathrooms that don’t clog. And the water is hot hot 😀 Camping costs 1500 per night per person with your own gear. It was pretty quiet with no loud music. The campsite is close to a town so there might be loud music from that side Food: This was my 2nd most favourite part. I thoroughly enjoyed the burger, fries & dawa Slightly pricey though. Dinner time gets super busy so it’s best you place your order in advance. I liked that they kept to the agreed time. The weird parts: - The was a weird vibe with some of the waiters. I felt profiled. I’ll leave it there. - The old guy at the gate isn’t too strict with the payments, they can easily lose track of the people coming in and out and whether they paid or not. Also felt slightly profiled here. 50/50 about whether I’d visit again

I recently visited Camp Carnelley's, and while the ambience and environment were absolutely stunning, my experience was far from ideal. The place is peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it an excellent spot to unwind. I checked out the Bandas, where I had booked and they are very basic. They only come with a bed and worn-out mosquito nets—no seats, no tables, nothing else. I was shocked to learn that they don’t accept card payments for accommodation—only cash and mobile money. Since I was using a prepaid card, I had no choice but to go out and look for cash. During this frustrating detour, I decided not to return. Thankfully, I found another accommodation nearby that accepted card payments and provided a much smoother experience.

The food at Camp Carnelley’s is some of the best in the Naivasha area! We love the feta and coriander samosas and the beef nachos. The service is quicker at lunch and but dinner is the vibe. We always bring some cards to play while we relax and enjoy our food and drinks.

Highly over priced and the pizza is no longer as how it used to be. They only have a great view of the lake. Good for a local to visit and enjoy the scenery .

This was a very beautiful establishment with a lot to offer. The food and service was great, the rooms were very clean and the grounds were well tended to. The only issue was that we were promised hot water all the time at the caravan (Banda 2) but the best we got was lukewarm which was very challenging with the cold weather

The beef wrap was great and the place is very cool. A really nice stop over for some lunch. Prices are ok and service was a bit slow. Overall a great place for lunch.

As a driver, I requested a bottle of water while waiting for my clients, and it was generously provided with genuine kindness. I believe Sankara is truly welcoming to everyone.
