Calan Beef Noodle 卡兰拉面(Halal)

A clean and inviting restaurant with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional and attentive, and the menu, though short and simple, offered excellent options. We ordered the hand-thick noodle braised beef and a side of sliced beef shanks. The braised beef noodles were absolutely delicious—the beef was incredibly tender, the noodles cooked to perfection, and the broth rich and flavorful. I requested the dish to be spicy, and it delivered just the right kick. The sliced beef shanks, served cold with a side of salt and pepper, were also excellent—tender and flavorful, making for a great appetizer. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience that I’m eager to repeat. As of this review, the restaurant serves halal beef and chicken, which is an added bonus for those who require it. Highly recommended!

Great hand pulled noodles, especially the wider ones, are perfectly cooked. They retain a certain chewiness. The braised beef is super tender and prepared as it should be. The broth is on the stronger side but matches well with the noodles. For the price, you can’t go wrong. Very surprised by some of the nasty comments left here.

Finally I found the HALAL chinesse noodle soup. The taste was so good!!! Perfect food for dinner during winter. The location exactly near Downtown west kerby station. Walking distance from downtown mosque. My favourite is no. 7 with thin noodles.

Sat right beside the window where the chef made the pulled noodles and it was awesome watching him making it. Food have very authentic Lanzhou flavors. The side dishes are also very good

Some guy reviewed this place 1 star saying it's not authentic. Buddy you're 6000 miles from Lanzhou, a 1 star's when they spit in your food and kick you out. This place is delicious. Prices have gone up I agree but portions are still huge. Highly recommended.

A must try is the braised beef soup and thank you for the recommendation who ever on that duty. Unfortunately I did not asked his name as I was busy enjoying my food. Its totally satisfies my cravings with soup. What i do like as well is how patient he is answering my odd questions. I will definitely come back to try other calan beef soup.

The food here was super delicious and authentic. We watched the talented cook pull the noodles fresh. The prices were super reasonable and the portion of noodles and meat were generous. The restaurant has quite a lot of space, and many tables to seat large groups.

Nice authentic hand pulled fresh noodles in downtown calgary. We enjoyed the braised beef noodles soup and some amazing tea
