Café Pinson

What an amazing restaurant! Incredible French twist to a vegan en vegetarian friendly kitchen! The “mozzarella” toast was one of the best I ever had! Every dish was full of flavour, really a must stop when in Paris!

This was one of my favorite neighborhood cafes. It was only a few blocks from my apartment and I would come here when my travel buddy didn't want to go out. Perfect place - small and quaint, you can sit at your table and just relax - for lunch or just wine and dessert. The food was delicious - I kept getting the veggie burger - on other days I'd just get a cookie or mini chocolate cake - and everything was always perfect.

Lovely relaxing hang-out spot for a quiet, cosy, afternoon coffee and cake with a friend. The kitchen was closed when we came (weekday afternoon), so the items that could be ordered were a little limited. I really wanted the fruit crumble, but apparently it had to be warmed up, so that wasn't possible to order. We took a chocolate cake (Fondant au chocolat) instead. It came with creme fraiche and some chocolatey pudding, all nicely presented. The espresso was all right, the pressed juice was delicious. We had apple, lemon and - I think - ginger. Very fresh and tasty. I am wondering though, why the juice menu was so large (I remember there being about 10 options), yet the final options on offer was pretty limited (2 or 3) and not freshly prepared when you order (like they would do at one of my favourite chains: 'Joe & The Juice'). All in all quite good, though! I will very likely come back to taste some of the other interesting items on the menu. I love that there are a lot of vegan options. If you wish to order more than an afternoon tea/coffee, make sure to check in for the kitchen hours. I think it's a lunch-menu only place - which is quite common in France.

Nice and cosy interieur, relaxed and polite service. Ten different kind of shots with vegetables and or fruits, very good espressi and delicious cakes. The tea comes from Pukka, one of my favorite tea companies. The cappuchino was way too hot (80+). I'll be back.

We paid a lot for so little. We asked if the plat du jour a good filling meal was and they said yes, but it was the 13.50 not worthy. I wouldn't come back to café Pinson although the food was good.

I was hesitant to try Café Pinson after reading some of the recent negative reviews, but I am very happy I went. One of the best vegan meals I've ever had. One of the best meals I've had in Paris. I started with a miso soup which was done flawlessly. We had the risotto and that was an amazing dish. Outstanding. We had room for dessert so we tried the cashew cake which was a cheesecake type of dessert and that blew us away. Everything is gluten free. There are great vegan options. Most everything on the menu was listed as vegan. We had a couple of glasses of wine - their wine is organic - and that was great too. Service was friendly, helpful, and with a smile. Will definitely return, and I highly recommend!

The ambiance was nice, the food was tasty, the prices are good for Paris. I'm giving 3 stars, though, because I had to ask for my dessert three times over the course of half an hour (initially, I ordered it along with my entree, later I stopped a waiter and asked for it again, and finally another waiter approached me and asked if I wanted anything else). In contrast, the entree that I had before the dessert arrived about five minutes after I ordered it. So I guess they just forgot about it, twice. I mean, I did enjoy the food (I had a cauliflower quiche which I wish had been served warm instead of room temperature, but it was still good, and a lemon tartelette which was nice) but it wasn't good enough to outweigh the time I waited.
