Breakfast By Salt’s Cure in West Hollywood dishes up delightful oatmeal griddlecakes and eggs in a casual, counter-service setting, perfect for a quick brunch fix.
"If you’re looking for an all-day boozy brunch fest with your friends, Breakfast by Salt’s Cure is not your spot. But if you need a quick brunch fix with good food and a crowd that doesn’t care who designed your kaftan, this is your place. This spinoff in the original Salt’s Cure location on Santa Monica is basically taking the old Salt’s Cure breakfast menu and serving it in an order-at-the-counter setup. It’s fast, affordable, and those signature griddlecakes are all we ever need on a Saturday." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"After accidentally drinking that second bottle of wine last night, making breakfast for yourself isn’t in the cards this morning. Breakfast By Salt’s Cure can handle that for you. The popular breakfast spot offers things like sausage patties and a very good breakfast sandwich, but the priority here will always be their oatmeal griddle cakes. They’re basically the best pancakes on the planet and will do the legwork when it comes to curing any lingering wine regret. Available for takeout and delivery." - brant cox
"West Hollywood has no shortage of over-the-top brunch spots, but when it comes to finding a quality breakfast, things get more difficult. Which is why we love Breakfast by Salt’s Cure. This tiny breakfast-only spot on Santa Monica Blvd. (they’re open daily from 8am-2pm) only has a few things on their menu, but among them is one of LA’s single best breakfast dishes: the oatmeal griddle cake. Sweet, salty, and syrup-less, it’s essentially the greatest pancake on Earth and comes in varieties like banana nut, chocolate chip, and blueberry with flax seed crumble. The OG with toasted cinnamon sugar is still our favorite though. For an extra $2, you can make any version gluten-free." - brant cox, nikko duren
"Breakfast By Salt’s Cure knows how to make a soft scramble, with an emphasis on soft: think small curdles, velvety smooth, perfectly seasoned. Sometimes, it takes having limited jaw mobility to appreciate the little details." - sylvio martins
"West Hollywood is ground zero for over-the-top breakfasts. Which is why we’re all about Breakfast by Salt’s Cure, a (you guessed it) breakfast-only spot in the original Salt’s Cure location on Santa Monica Blvd. And when we say breakfast-only, we really mean griddle cakes. Sure, you can get a breakfast sandwich here, but if you’re not loading up on these best-in-town pancakes, then you aren’t doing this place justice. They’re also open until 3pm, ideal for those breakfast-for-lunch situations. " - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins
