"Bonjour Brioche has a no fuss, small town vibe, and holds the secret to perfect laminated dough. In addition to having the Best Croissant In Town (according to NOW Magazine's People CHoise Awards), they have the most delicious quiche, french bread, and desserts within a five block radius. They are essentially a full scale bakery as well as a restaurant, so needless to say everyone is in a hurry. Expect a line-up for brunch on the weekends - but it will be well worth it." - Medina Abdelkader

What a super place! It’s small, cozy and very friendly. The food was incredible and so tasty. It’s a popular place, so you might need to line up. But it’s worth the wait.

Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Bonjour, and goodbye, I'm going up to my room to enjoy my triple banana pudding in peace. The trio of the creamy banana pudding base, moist banana bread chunks, and caramelized slices of banana bring a rich taste with hints of creamy vanilla, and finished with a drizzle of caramel to add a sweet richness in each bite. Flourless Chocolate Cake - Decadent and rich chocolate cake but quite heavy and dense. Exterior was slightly more crisp, and texture was smooth. Chocolate taste had depth, like at least two different tastes of chocolate. Also not overly sweet. Spicy Bacon - Bacon had a nice balance of flavour, not overly salty with a slight sweetness. Cheddar provided some sharpness and creaminess along with the avocado to increase depth, and tomato for a fresh ingredient. Baguette was still crisp even with takeout but got a little chewy after a bit.

Google
Bonjour Brioche was an amazing brunch spot, the place was simple and cozy. The service was great and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the salmon eggs Benedict, probably the best eggs Benedict I've had and the French toast was amazing as well. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try most of the pastries as they were sold out (around 1PM). If you want to try the brioche or croissants I suggest going earlier.

Google
Delicious French pastries and brunch. I had the benny with smoked salmon and it was great, the eggs were perfectly runny and the croissant was flaky and buttery. Their salad comes with their own home made dressing which is also very yummy. I highly recommend trying their pastries and tarts as well, taking a couple home, they are so good! It’s worth the wait for a table.

Google
This spot offers a really enjoyable brunch. The menu has a good range of classic French dishes, and everything we tried was well-prepared and tasted great. Whether you're in the mood for something like a savoury tart, a comforting soup, or a well-made sandwich, the quality is evident. A reliably delicious choice for a French-inspired brunch in the city.

Google
One of the best breakfast/ brunch bistros in the city. Home made fresh pastries, sourdough, brioche, jams and salad dressing. Omelet to perfection. Friendly staff, charming patio. Visited several times and quality is consistent. Be prepared for a lineup on weekends, well worth waiting. A true gem on the Queen st East. Must visit. Takeout window if you are in real rush, but this place deserves sitting in.

Google
I had brunch here. I loved the food and the service was excellent. However, the outdoor patio heater was too strong, the seats were uncomfortable and the music was too loud. There wasnt much space between tables so it was rather noisy. Perhaps sitting inside is more spacious and comfortable? not sure

Google
French little hidden gem, nothing extravagant in terms of decoration like the expensive places you go downtown but it provides what we want, great food and an affordable price. I ordered the Benny and the croque madame, croque madame was amazing

Yelp
Situated on Queen St. East, it gets quite busy over the weekend. I like how they have a to-go window for those who only want to pick up a pastry and coffee and another line along the side street for dine in. I went a couple of times on a weekend morning, I was able to secure a table within 15 minutes for 2. I like how my quiche is served with a side salad and bread with butter. I especially like their latte that's served in a bowl. Their food is great, coffee is good. Indoor dining can get a little stuffy as they only have a few fans going, but outdoor seating is pretty comfortable.

Helen T.

Yelp
This Leslieville/ riverside bakery also offer brunch service during the weekend. When weather permit they have a few tables to the right of the establishment for dine in. The ingredients are super fresh, especially the breads!! Highly recommend this place for a casual weekend brunch! Pro: They accept credit card!

Yelp
Came here on Sunday morning around 1045am and we were able to get a table for 4 right away. It's a cute corner restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining areas. I got the croque madame and a cortado; both items which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also got a pastry to go since they are known for their pastries - delicious as well. They also have a window where you can order to go items, when we went there was a lineup for that. During lunch time it can get busy and we saw a lineup for the dining room when we left. Would definitely come back for their pastries again!

Yelp
Space for a group of eight at 11:30 on a Saturday? You betcha! We were surprised and elated to get a table within ten minutes of arriving, and boy did we ever luck out! The outdoor patio is perfect, even on a winter's cold morning. The plants, French ambiance, and large space with plenty of light is lovely. The menu was perfect for me, and even for everyone else in the group who had many more dietary restrictions than I. Our server, Nathan, was an absolute ICON. We are all outgoing and tend to be loud and sassy, and he matched us so well. Thanks, Nathan, for a truly wonderful few hours with you. The food came out quickly, and there was a lot of space on the small tables to eat - which was a nice surprise. For newbies, the entry to the "dine-in" side can be confusing to find, but other guests and signs are there to help. Head over to the side entrance and wait for a server to greet you. We were slightly bummed that the liquor license still has not arrived, but we still had a fantastic time. À bientôt !

Stephen P.

Yelp
It's been one of my reliable breakfast places for years! The food is consistently great! Their baked French Toast is my favourite!

Ameena M.

Yelp
brioche french toast was a 10/10. I think about it a lot. I literally needed to go back ASAP

Allison T.

Yelp
This is one of the staple brunch spots in the area, and we stopped by for a quick brunch. They often run out of signature items and get full pretty quickly, so we recommend coming a bit earlier. Outdoor seating was seat yourself and indoor seating had a wait. We opted to sit outside as it wasn't too cold with the heaters. As for food, we ordered: 1. Baked French Toast This was very similar to a traditional style French toast, however we found the "toast" more like a banana bread texture and thickness. Paired with this dish was the usual - fruits, syrup, cream. It was a pretty filling dish and we wished there was more fruit. 2. Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs Exactly as described, this dish was paired with shredded potato roti and a baguette. We found the smoked salmon portion a bit small as it was only 1 piece rolled up. As for the rest the roti was crispy and the eggs were what you'd expect. 3. Rare Roast Beef This sandwich was the best item we ordered. Sliced into 2 pieces, it had Brie and a garlic aioli. We enjoyed this combo, and how the baguette wasn't hard. This little brunch spot is a cute place to catch up and grab a quick bite. We found the food mediocre but would return again due to conveniency. @alot.eats

Yelp
I never that the opportunity to go to Bonjour Brioche until today. Everything I've ever heard about this places lives up and then some. The staff are amazing, the wait (it can get very busy) is well worth it. Benys for breakfast... on a croissant, absolutely. Reasonably priced and it's a non pretentious vibe. A cute little French bistro with amazing baguettes - go! GO! Allez!

David Y.

Yelp
Maybe I should have read the reviews beforehand so I could've calibrated my expectations better. All I saw were the long lines on multiple weekend mornings my wife and I would pass by this place, so always wanted to try it. We were walking along Queen one early Saturday afternoon and saw there was only a 2 person lineup to dine in and got excited - this was finally our chance to try this popular place! And... I don't get it. We got the brekkie (really bland for something that sounded so good), French onion soup (broth was ok, though there wasn't enough cheese and onions to my liking), chocolate croissant (hardly any chocolate), and all of them were disappointing. The only standouts were the hot apple cider (really good, with the natural apple taste coming strongly through) and service (unfortunately didn't get the name of our server, who was friendly and just had a very light and pleasant way about him). Maybe they had an off day or i just have different tastes, but I won't be saying bonjour to this place anytime soon.

Marie N.

Yelp
I wish I lived closer to Leslieville's Bonjour Brioche because this is one place I could easily visit every weekend without losing interest. On second thought, maybe it's better for my waistline. Transport yourself to an authentic French bakery and cafe, complete with the scent of buttery croissants when you walk in the door. It's the type of smell you want to bottle up. Delight in daily soups, quiche du jour, and a variety of sandwiches on freshly-baked bread. Don't forget to purchase some delicious baked goods to enjoy a la maison. The pain au chocolat, muffins and croissants are all exquisite. As with most brunch spots in This city, Bonjour Brioche doesn't accept reservations, so it's best to arrive early to avoid long lines! You'll thank me later.

Yelp
Sunday's are for brunch! Bonjour brioche ended up on my list (don't ask how) and they didn't have a 1-2 hr wait like the other places we wanted to try so it was a no brainer Firstly the service; this one lady literally looked angry the entire time, she looked like she was gunna kill everyone for eating there lol. And was also very curt and not personable, which didn't really add to the Sunday Funday vibe (maybe she was hungover) Food wise, we had: Smoked salmon eggs benedict: I really enjoyed this; I thought the croissant was fluffy and flakey salmon was good sized and the egg was runny with just the right amount of hollandaise sauce Croque madam: I think the bread was too thick and dense to be layered together like that, there was also a thin layer of cheese between the bread which you couldn't really taste, the ham slices were also paper thin. I didn't like this one even though I've enjoyed them in the past Fig tart: it had fig, caramelized onion and blue cheese, and it was delicious! The blue cheese wasn't over powering and the pastry part was warm and flakey! I would definitely come back for just this for takeout, but it could do without the rest of the bread and salad tbh. On every plate they also had salad and buttered toast, which would make the meals very carb heavy. We didn't touch any of the additional breads which was a bit wasteful. The pricing was actually very fair, it was about $10-$13 for each dish, even with their "new price increase" posted on their wall. Overall I'd come back if I was in the area and stop by for some of their French pastries and tartes

Yelp
Came for a brunch with my BFF. It was recommended by our adult children and it was just ok in truth. Staff lovely. Very small place and extremely busy. Typical yuppie place. We had the eggs Benny and the French toast. Both just ok. Not enough salad or bread with the EB. The French toast was 4 quarters of a slice of brioche. Very tiny serving. For the price it should be more. Especially if they want repeat customers.

Ellie H.

Yelp
Second time visit with poached eggs on croissant. Croissant is better on its own without heated though, too many toppings takes away the simple buttery flavor. Still love the service and vibe.

Ida N.

Yelp
Lovely brunch place. It gets busy so be prepared to wait. They have a nice patio too! We got the salmon scrambled eggs and the eggs Benedict. The portions are just right and the food is good. I would recommend asking for their house jam too. They had a peach jam the day we went and it was amazing. We ended up buying more to take home! Make sure you check out their pastries and sweet tarts inside before you leave for a treat later!

Tina N.

Yelp
Lovely little spot for brunch! I'm a savory breakfast kind of gal so this place definitely hit the mark for me. It's clear that lots of people love this place, there was a line at both the takeout counter and dine-in! I was seated pretty quickly since I was a party of one. My server took my order not long after! I got a chai latte bowl and the quiche du jour (Lorraine) which came with a side salad and some baguette with butter. Food came to me in no time and it looked so good, tasted even better! The quiche was so fluffy and had all the right flavours. My latte was made perfectly. Definitely recommend this spot and will be visiting again soon!

SJ V.

Yelp
As a family of three we attended Brunch this morning. There was a line up, which we waited 20mins and upon getting in the environment was elegant and sweet. The staff were very thorough, quick, and helpful. The drinks and food arrived quickly, I have to say the French toast was amazing! The true winner of the day was the Bon Jour Bennie- hollandaise eggs on salmon and croissant!! Wow! It was soo good! We will definitely be back. Oh, young son of 11 yrs loved the hot chocolate but definitely recommend the bowl vs the cup.. it is that good!

Ray M.

Yelp
New owners, same great food and staff. We finally sat inside after years of always dining outside. Keep it coming !

Mishelle Y.

Yelp
I agree with what others say about this place. My food was just mediocre. I was still hungry after and I have a small appetite at 100lb weight class. It felt very European portion sizing. My butter was not warm or melted and came with an untoasted baguette that was not the softest. However felt very euro tasting. I got a the salmon rosti scrambled eggs. Tasty but did dip everything in ketchup. I would say the price could be cheaper for its portion sizing. I wouldn't recommend making a journey out here but guess wouldn't mind coming back

David B.

Yelp
0/10. I had a party of 2. The gentleman came to the door and said that it'd be a 10 minute wait but that we were up next. About 5-7 minutes later, he came out and sat a party of two that came AFTER us... mind you, it was literally 5-7 mins since our initial interaction so you couldn't have forgotten PLUS we were standing directly in plain view, so you couldn't have not seen us. To make matters worse... he then says "party of 2?" It'll be about 10 min... AFTER YOU JUST TOLD US IT... Nevermind. You get the point of my frustration. Then had the audacity to come back seconds later to seat a table of 3 right in front of us. That was the point we decided to leave. Oh and I guess they're working on getting their liquor license back? A waste of a time.

Cecilia T.

Yelp
It's ok. I guess I don't really understand why people seem to like it so much, besides that it's reasonably priced. Came here for brunch and luckily we sat down right away. My eggs benny was good but I think the croissant got soggy too quickly. My bf got the croque madame and it looked really small- but we ended up sharing food. The salad vinaigrette was nice but mine was soaking in it. I also don't really understand why the mains come with a piece of baguette- it was too starchy. Also, the service was extremely slow. We ordered pretty quickly but the food took a long time to arrive. When we requested the bill, that took a long time also. We almost regretted asking for change because we didn't want to sit the extra time to wait for it... My bf liked the baguette, so maybe I get why people stop by to buy bread from the bakery, but I'm not motivated to return for brunch.

Amira A.

Yelp
HHHHHHHOT! Cash only spot with a limited menu. I was sweating my balls off if I ever had any. There's no AC but I was sitting outside anyway. There was no wait but what I ordered was subpar and my portion of french toast was rather unfulfilling. It actually didn't taste that good. The fruit was great though. I did want to try their pastries but I didn't have much CAD on me as is and refused to use the ATM so that was out. I just sent my friend the money via an app and had her use her CAD for the bill.

Min C.

Yelp
I came just to try the tarte tatin. Took it to go and when I opened the box i was amazed to see the serving size i got for $6. I put my fork beside the tarte to show the size comparison. Basically paid for 2 bites. Seriously a rip off! I would understand if this was a complicated and intricate pastry to construct, but it is really not. So you can't justify the price at all. The bottom crust was SO hard that it was impossible to eat with a plastic fork because it wouldn't cut through. Not a lot of places make tarte tatin in toronto so it's really slim pickings but needless to say I won't be getting this from bonjour brioche again.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Having a leisure lunch at Bonjour Brioche on a cold winter day with the sun beaming in does made me feels I am not in Toronto. The small wobbling table and the cramped interior does give this place a certain "European" charm. I was a little unlucky because they were all out of baguette!! But I have a craving for sandwich and that wonderful side salad. The dressing is lemony and refreshing good! Service is like Chinese restaurant = fast, efficient and lukewarm. I might come back for some other dishes.. but definitely not going to line up for that!

Lisa L.

Yelp
Went as a group of three at 1 pm on a Sunday. 6 people were seated before us because they were in pairs which was absolutely ridiculous. We waited over an hour to be seated, and there were people who came after us who finished their meals before we were seated. I had the Quiche Lorraine which was really delicious. It came with a side of mixed greens. But we still waited 15 mins for food, and considering it was all prepared foods, it should have been a lot faster. I thought the portions were reasonable but my friends felt they were a bit small. For dessert, we ended up sharing a brioche (really meh, flavourless and unfilled), chocolate croissant (not enough chocolate) and raspberry almost tart (pretty delicious, not too sweet). Service was friendly but really disorganized in terms of getting people seated and getting food and drinks out. I would not dine in again because of how unfair their setup is for seating service. But I might take out from their bakery.

Cristina O.

Yelp
Delicious bakery serving a multitude of baked goodies and pastries. Wish we would have had brunch there but crazy packed the day we went. We ordered coffee, a croissant & an apple tart to go. Everything was outstanding & definitely want to come back!

Alyn Y.

Yelp
I am not the first. Please review all other comments about their management before you decide whether you should walk into this restaurant that could possibly RUIN your NICE SUNDAY MORNING and start your monday blue. This is ANOTHER BAD SERVICE / MANAGEMENT review of this restaurant. The STAFFS(plural) are rude. (especially the guy named FELIX? the guy with tattoo on arms, caucasian, with blondish brown hair) Same to the other customer review, the four of us have been waiting for 45 mins outside because we have been told to. Few mins later, some people went ahead of us and waited inside. The Host didn't notice that we were there first and I try to reason with the servers there. That's what went down next ... 1. Felix - the guy told us that we will be served next, told us 20 mins later that he is not the one who take care of the line and told us not to ask him anything again. 2. After we tried to tell the other staffs about people who went ahead of us, they thought we were causing too much trouble. So, they try to mess with us by seating people after us to all the EMPTIED table we saw outside at the patio. We found out Felix had been seating the 10 people who were waiting AFTER us FIRST SECRETLY to the patio. We found out afterwards and asked him what was that. We saw there were empty tables and all the 10 people that were waiting after us were got seated. and All Felix got to say was "Well, it LOOKS PRETTY FULL TO ME now". We were pissed obviously but we still try to talk to the owner calmly after and ask for a reason for that kind of service. 3. The owner pretend that she doesn't understand anything we said. And all she said was like "So, are you next?". We have been here for an hour. and everyone else got seated except us. Even the 10 people after us. And all she left to say was " What do you want me to do then?" 4. Rude owner. Rude Staff. Place is dirty. And yes, mouse traps. 5. I politely asked FELIX for his name. And he WALKED AWAY and IGNORED ME. I found his name out through someone else after.

Cindy H.

Yelp
Always a go-to spot when I visit the beaches--my favourite sandwich and baguette. The spicy avocado aioli with bacon is addictive. Friendly staff.

Al L.

Yelp
Came at noon on the friday before Christmas eve and there was a bit of a wait. (About 3-4 parties in front of us). So, we opted to sit the covered patio area, which had heat lamps. It was fine, but would have preferred to sit inside. Probably the most canadian thing to do is to have the patio open in December. The food was decent, but not amazing. I had the smoked salmon with eggs. The eggs were great, and you get one small slice of salmon. For the price, it was decent value. They gave a piece of bread on the side with cold butter, which I thought was very odd. The bread wasn't very good. The bread was cold and since the butter was a cold as well, and I couldn't spread the butter. The croissants were good. Very buttery and flakey. The almond croissant is not like other almond croissants I've had. It was tasty, but not what I would expect. We got them as they were still warm. Overall, this place is decent, but no worth waiting in the cold for. Their servers are pleasant/nice, though a little rough around the edges. They over poured the water in my glass and it flooded the table. We had to change table cloths.

Michael S.

Yelp
Great coffee and food! The bread was particularly delicious: still warm with just the right amount of crunch to the golden crust. Would definitely enjoy again when we're back in Toronto. I had the Croque Madam and my wife had the granola and yogurt that the kids loved as well. All around a nice experience.

Stanley B.

Yelp
Attitude from staff caused us to not dine and leave elsewhere. Weirdly more accommodating to other non-poc while we were there. Sucky experience overall. Hire more folks for such a high traffic time and maybe customer experience training.

Jenny N.

Yelp
I am not usually in the Queen East area often but a friend of mine suggested Bonjour Brioche and so I decided to go on an adventure for great food! The cafe is at a corner of the intersection which made it easy to find. We arrived around 11:45 on a Sunday, which is brunch prime time. We waited in lime for about 20-25 minutes and got a nice corner table im their small patio (be warned there is no AC inside). The waiter arrived and took our drink orders right away and mentioned the specials. I got the Bonjour Benny with smoked salmon. It was very delicious! The salad that came with the dish was well seasoned and very fresh which complimented the eggs benny. It also came with a baguette and a cube of butter. My friend ordered the Croque Madam which she also enjoyed! She did agree that the eggs benny was better though. We also decided to get one of their butter tart to end brunch on a sweet note and it was amazing! I would definitely come back to try their other tarts, especially the custard ones.

John U.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times with the toddler, both times fairly good experiences. Given that the place is always full, we found very good seats both times. The service staff is a bit late to attend to tables, not much of a problem because they are very friendly and knowledgable. The food is good, nothing exceptional but the taste is there. Croque Madame, their Provencale omelette and Benny are their above average meals.

Nicky D S.

Yelp
This was my first visit ever to Bonjour Brioche even though I pass it everyday on the GO train, gotta love commuter life! It's a small cafe with a small seating area and luckily we got a seat quite quickly but people were waiting upwards of 15 minutes for a seat. It's a slice of parisian heaven in the city! If you've ever visited Paris you really feel transported! They have framed Paris street pictures up everywhere and a hot food station where you can buy fresh baked brioche, croissants and sweet or savoury tarts. I had a delicious croquet madame Nd my friend had the brunch plate, we split a creme Brule, she had a chai latte and I a Sangria. ..because it's always 5 o clock somewhere!! Overall loved the spot!! Tips: - closes at 4pm - show up early!! - parking is a b*tch to find but most of the street parking on Degrassi is free - cash only! - of you cannot get in go to Lady Marmalade down the street or Tabule next door

Denise S.

Yelp
J'aime ca. Came here for the first time today. I have been meaning to try this place for a long time but was sort of turned off by the stories of its infamous long lines on weekends. My DC and I arrived a bit after 10AM and we just had one group ahead of us, and waited 5 minutes. Not bad at all. Although, during our brunch we watched as the line grew longer and longer (by the time we left, it was almost curling around the block). The service is prompt. I think everyone is aware of the line, so the wait staff are very quick at taking orders and clearing dishes immediately. When we sat down, we were asked right away whether we'd like some coffee and croissants to start. I just had a tall glass of freshly squeezed OJ. I ended up deciding on the quiche de jour, which had spinach and feta. They also have a lorraine available every day. The quiche came in a generous portion. The crust was buttery and flaky and the filling with delicious (the eggs were fluffy and light, not too dense). It came with a pretty standard side of mixed greens with a basil-y vinaigrette dressing, and their lovely baguette served warm with butter. The DC had the Croque Madame, which looked like the perfect hearty hangover brunch. Mid-way through our brunch, the owner very apologetically asked if we could move tables to accommodate a large group. It was no problem (we just had to slide over one table), and she gave us each a croissant of our choice for free as a 'thank you'. I opted for the chocolate croissant, which I enjoyed later this afternoon. It was just perfect -- soft, flaky, fresh, without too much filling. Other notes: - Tables are very close together and some groups of 3 were sharing just a tiny table meant for 2. - The side patio looks nice. - Cappuccinos come in those huge bowls. - Clock on the wall is 7 minutes fast. - According to my DC, this place is a "gay hipster mecca". I dunno. The crowd seemed pretty mixed to me. - Bill Cosby ate here apparently; his autograph is on the wall. All in all, a nice brunch spot but I don't think I would line up more than 15-20 mins. for this place. The food is great, but there are also lots of other similar places that are less hyped with no lines.

Amy D.

Yelp
Lets start with the good: The sit-down meal at Bonjour Brioche is tasty. I usually order the eggs and smoked salmon - very pleasing to mah palate; although the potatoes are hit/miss. The wait staff are typically friendly and prompt (enough). And the atmosphere is quaint (very small place, wooden tables with tablecloths, art and old photos on the walls). The downside is ...: While the pastries are delicious - and I think the reason most people visit - the service at the counter is abysmal. If you're thinking about stopping to pick up a croissant or brioche - keep walking unless you want to be treated with disdain (on a good day) and contempt (on a bad). I thought it was just my experience here but after talking to a couple of friends we realized we've ALL had the same experience. Not always - of course - but enough times that I'll forego a croissant here and try the many MANY other places in the area that offer pastries (I'm looking at you Tertulia, Boxcar Social, and Bobette and Belle).

Soyi H.

Yelp
Amazing pastries. Love the croissant. One of my favourite brunch locally. Comfortable and great service. I went to both summer and winter season. Both great but summer is so much better.

M Y.

Yelp
NASTY NASTY staff and owner, very RUDE plus loooooong line ups! NOOOO thanks ....there are plenty of good French pastry restaurants in TO I don't need the negative attitude! Very disorganised! NEVER again!!!!

Dy M.

Yelp
Worst service ever. I don't know what the hype is about. The croissants were mediocre, the bread was hard, butter was not even warmed or melted. The quiche was too salty and very little ingredients. I waited for a whole year to eat at the this place only to be disappointed! We had to ask 3 times for cream and the service really sucked! The line is really not worth it! Go to a much better place next time! Save the trouble!

Christen C.

Yelp
Hard to get seats here. It's a cute and quaint place but honestly, after coming twice, I don't find that the menu draws me back in. If I lived closer to that area, I might go (earlier in the morning) or go take out from their pastry section. The desserts look good and I like that there's a person who comes around with a slice of all their sweets to entice you . It's definitely a touristy type of restaurant that is cool for a Parisian-Canadian experience in Toronto.

Yelp
They didn't tell us every sandwich except for the peameal bacon was sold out until we ordered. We came in for a late lunch so maybe it was understandable. We ordered the peameal sandwich, a chocolate croissant, and an ice latte. ONLY the sandwich made it to our table, we had to ask them where the croissant was for them to tell us they sold out. It was then obvious they also forgot the latte, and we had to ask them 3 times for the bill. The table next to us seated 15 minutes after us got their bill before ours. Food was average, but as you can tell the service leaves a ton of room for improvement. I wasn't sure if it was bad luck but after seeing the constant reviews of the service, it sounds like it's a recurring thing. Will never come back here again.

Yelp
Nice location and patio for warm weather. Food is alright. Pretty standard fare. Ordered: Breakfast sandwich - good but it's really just eggs and cheese on bread. Nothing that stands out. Croque Madam - decent tasting but was definitely missing a likkle umph Pecan tart - good, but a tad soggy from sitting out most likely (arrived later in the day around 2p) Worth checking out but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Cute little brunch/bakery place on Queen St. I've been here a couple of times before, but this is the first time since the pandemic started. The menu has stayed consistently similar. We got the omelette du jour, and croque madam. While the food was good, service wasn't the friendliest - not sure if they just weren't having a good day? But we noticed that other people received warmer service - e.g. check ins on how the food was, thank you's... while we were subtly given cues to quickly eat our food and pay the bill. I remember nicer staff members in the past, so maybe this was just a one off.

Yelp
First of all, we waited for an hour in the cold, which is fine, cos we assumed this place is popular. What's not fine, however, was that four couples bypassed us (there were three of us), and we ended up sitting at a two-person table. Two of us had to basically squeeze into a one person spot. The seating was extremely disorganized, which probably explained why the wait was so long. Customer service was poor, no one apologized for the wait, nor for shoving us into a tiny spot. Food came half an hour after we were seated. We ordered the savory french toast and croissant Benny with peameal bacon (their specials). Overall quality of food was average, definitely not worth the long wait in the cold. The side salad was good though. We also ordered two croissants cos we were starving, the plates that the croissants were served on were hot, so we thought we were getting warm fluffy croissants. However the croissants were cold and hard, guess they've been sitting in their bakery for a while.. Overall, poor experience with this place, food was really average, I paid 22$, which was pricy given the quality of food and service. (If you are getting your food packed, make sure you triple check to ensure that you are actually bringing your own food home. I went home, expecting to find my Benny in the bag, and found a half eaten chocolate cake instead. Gross!)

Yelp
Where do I start? Let's start with the process of getting seated: 1 hour wait in the cold, watching 4 couples bypass us (we're a group of 3), only to be told we need to be seated at a table for 2, so you better get cozy and squeeze a bit. So.....why did we need to watch 4 groups of 2 bypass us? Next, the waiter: unapologetic, no effort to make the prolonged wait and less than ideal seating arrangement any easier to swallow, and checked in with us only 3 times (taking our order, bringing our order, and getting us the bill). All of this only raised our expectation for the food that much higher to make all of this worth it; and the food was...meh. I had the savoury French toast, which was ok. The overall experience was less than favourable. If you plan to go, go as a group of 2, that way, you don't have to watch other people bypass you and actually have a table big enough to hold all the dishes.

Yelp
A couple friends and I were on our way to Lady Marmalade for brunch, but after finding out it would be a 45 mins wait we backtracked to Bonjour Brioche. I'm really glad we ended up here because this place smells like freshly baked bread and all things fried in butter. So much butter. Also, a very small lineup. We were seated right away. It's a very small space and the patio is quite packed in, especially for Saturday brunch. After reviewing the specials I decided to go with the Grilled cheese with egg, prosciutto and tomato on olive bread. It was delicious and filling. However, the real star of the show was the salad dressing on the side salad that accompanied my sandwich. It was perfectly dressed and really well seasoned. They sell it at the front if you're looking to pick it up. You should also give the freshly made fruit juices a try - the one with mango is quite good. At the end of our meal, the server came over to us with a tray of delicious tarts and cakes and asked us if we were ready for dessert. This is very clever and very cruel. How could we say no?! We each picked a tart to go, they come to $5 each. Definitely worth it. After getting our treats we ended up standing in line for some more baked goodies because we couldn't leave without trying their freshly baked croissants, and baguettes. I think we picked up about half a dozen items for less than $10! So to summarize, fantastic place for brunch. I don't think you can go wrong with any item off their menu/specials. Don't leave without grabbing their baked goodies to go. And, the salad dressing is divine. I'll be back to grab some of their cakes. Can't wait! FYI - this place is cash only, and the crowd really picks up around 11am on the weekend.

Yelp
Hell yeah! What a nice little spot for Sunday Brunch! I lucked out and managed to get a table on a busy Sunday morning. We were right by the front door, but even in the tiny interior, I didn't feel like anyone was impeding on my dining space. This was AFTER I had stood in line to take stuff out and realized it was cash only, so a trip to the ATM later, I was ready to sit down. The cash only thing was the only detractor, but not enough to take everything down a star. Alcohol service starts at 11am, and I had a latte in a bowl with Bailey's. It was delicious albeit excessive, but that was my own fault. I got the quiche of the day, which had garlic and an R-vegetable that I totally forgot, but what I do remember is the quiche was delightfully fluffy and melted in my mouth. Fantastic! The garlic flavor was pleasant- not overwhelming by any means. I also ordered a side of peameal bacon; I'd never had it before but it tasted good?? My friend got the savory french toast. I had a bite and declared that tasty as well! Service was quick and friendly! Maybe I lucked out with the circumstances but I had a great experience!

Yelp
We discovered this place by chance. Breakfast is amazing and French Toast is a must try! Definitely will come back

Yelp
There's a wait line for the seating. The seating is outside with tarp walls and inside. We sat outside and didn't get a chance to see inside. I would suggest to wait to be seated inside unless you not sitting outside on the entrance where we sat because it was cold and people can see you in the line. Apart from that the food is amazing, its simple, flavourful and not too pricy. Their latte wasn't the best so I would skip that and would grab latte/coffee from somewhere else. Do try their cake!

Yelp
"The granola bowl that rocked our world." By the time we visited Toronto, we'd already become jaded with Chicago brunch spots from Bongo Room, Jane's, Sweets & Savories to Orange, Overeasy, Jane's, Dodo, ad nausea. Hence when she wanted to order a simple bowl of granola bowl, I almost chewed her out for being not "serious" enough about our meals in Canada. Ceres, god of grain, proved me so damn wrong here that I forever ate humble pie. To this day, we search aimlessly for that mythical bowl of heavenly granola. I'd also like to attribute a brilliant cup of granola yogurt parfait we had at Cafe Chloe in San Diego http://www.yelp.com/biz/cafe-chloe-san-diego#hrid:RuuXNOCQjmm0XO4Crxn8jw with allowing me to be with my "honey" today. Onto the granola: slight touch of sweetened Greek-style yogurt, house blend of granola with at least 3 different grains. Bits of coconut? (this is from memory), bits of flax seed? or was it sunflower seed? small chunks of pomegranade and .. passion fruit? ahh SHIIIET . n'mind! i wrote about it here! http://www.goodspot.ca/profile/1055/Bonjour_Brioche "tonyc" existed before yelp. yay for me!
