Bodega is a vibrant Santa Monica hangout serving up tasty pizzas and a stellar wine selection in a chill atmosphere perfect for unwinding with friends.
"Don’t get caught sniffing, swirling or discussing terroir here - just drink it! Bodega considers itself the “anti-wine bar” by shunning pretense and providing a laid-back, low key, friendly atmosphere for hanging with friends and grabbing a bite. Super loungey and chill, their wide selection of wine, beer and saki always makes for great discoveries. So, grab a Lyft after work and meet us there!" - TRÜF
"Bodega is a casual wine bar in Santa Monica with a large sidewalk patio going down Broadway that includes potted plants and a trellis-like roof to cut out the midday sun." - brett keating
"You want to stay on the westside, but that doesn’t mean you want to interact with the entire UCLA class of 2017 at the Bungalow. For something a little more sophisticated, head to Bodega. This giant wine bar off Lincoln is always full of attractive, young-but-not-that-young groups and couples, and everyone is having a great time. This isn’t the wine bar you come to when you just got dumped and need a dark corner to sit and reflect in. This is the wine bar to catch up with friends and reminisce too loudly on the giant couches by the patio. The wine list is long, the food is better than it needs to be, and their happy hour goes from 5-7pm and then all night after 10pm. You’ll stay here for a few hours longer than you intended - and you won’t be bothered by anyone wearing a fraternity tank." - jess basser sanders, amy clark, brant cox
"Bodega is a massive wine bar in Santa Monica with a good wine list, a food menu that isn’t going to offend anyone, and a lively atmosphere that makes drinking Chardonnay at 12:15am on a Tuesday feel completely normal. The Deal: $4 beer, $7 glasses of wine and appetizers. When: Sunday-Thursday 10pm-close." - brant cox
"Bodega is a huge space in Santa Monica that’s lively enough during the day so that you won’t get dirty looks for coughing, but calm enough that you won’t get distracted from being productive. They open at 8am (which is basically sunrise for people from LA) so they’ll be ready for you with a glass of wine (or a cup of coffee) whenever you decide work starts. Note that they’ll probably ask you to pack up your laptop around 5pm, depending on how busy they are." - brett keating
