Nice environment, food didn’t hit! Tagliatelle bolognese was too salty. The pizza was very thick and hearty, maybe it was an off night. Service was nice and it was about $70 a person. French fries were good.

Food was good! They forgot a dish so we had to wave them down towards the latter half of our meal but they were able to get the dish for us once asked. It’s a bit hard to get their attention though so we were trying a bit to get water, etc. It’s a big place though- a lot bigger than it seemed outside. I’ll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

This restaurant surprised me... The food is extremely good! Don't let the neighborhood vibe throw you off. They care!! Started with a fabulous deep ruby colored Lambrusco 'Tradizione Zanasi' at $52--incredibly reasonable. The Fried Calamari is highly recommended as it's one of the best I have had!! Fried with spicy red peppers and Italian parsley served with a fabulous homemade Tartar. Next a Gem lettuce Market Salad tossed with a light lemon dressing was perfect! The bread, although $12, was worth it--a quarter loaf of Sourdough Rye with butter. The Minestrone Soup was rich and full of flavor topped with Parmesan cheese. Finally the Entrees were well prepared--a respectable cheeseburger with a fabulous 'special sauce', caramelized onions and amazing parsley fries!! Also a homemade Gnocchetti with fresh mushrooms and finished with Breadcrumps and thyme. Service was a bit slow toward the end of the meal but the bartender jumped in and took over which was appreciated. The ambience inside is "foody" style smaller wooden tables with small candles. I think that table cloths are well deserved here and would be welcomed! There a few tables in the main room where the bar sits and then about a dozen tables in the nest two rooms. There is also a more casual outdoor area that is basically candle-lit wooden picnic tables. But dont worry--they care a lot more about the food than anything else and it shows from start to finish! Will return soon!!

Blairs is a magical place. Time seems to disappear and the beautiful food as well! The roasted chicken and yellowfin crudo are to die for. I never order chicken when I go out unless I have heard it is done well. Awesome!!! So lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood!

Having recently moved to the area; I tend to spend my evenings walking throughout the neighborhood, exploring and hoping to find gems such as this establishment. I fully intend on dining here either in person or at least through their online ordering process before weeks end. At which point i fully expect to upgrade my rating to a 5-star (unless a 6-star becomes available). Either way the ambiance is divine and all the customers seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their meals and company! BTW I first encountered this location @ 9p.m. on Friday 6/24

Ordered take out and it was so delicious even as takeout. We got the bruschetta burrata, sausage pizza, and caulilini citrus-chili labne. Everything was delicious. You do have to heat up the bruschetta so maybe order something else if you’re not feeling it. The caulilini does have a bit too much dressing. I just threw in arugula and made a mugger salad. Delicious!

Perfect for any occasion! We here last night for dinner with a few friends. We shared an appetizer and got one entree each which was enough but I wanted to try more on the menu! The restaurant is surprisingly big and has a large outdoor section that would be great for a bigger group. I had the Gnocchetti (shells) with Mushrooms and Bruschetta and both I would get again! Our waiter was friendly and gave great recommendations!

Incredible food and ambiance, but definitely pricey! Top dishes: market salad, puttanesca, trout Market salad (5/5) - incredible dressing, the PICKLES are such a welcome surprise, so fresh and herby I couldn't get enough Puttanesca (5/5) - so much flavor, pasta perfectly al dente Trout (4.5/5) - super interesting dish with a yogurty sauce and quinoa with raisins. Small portion though Pomodoro (4.5/5) - really solid Bread app (5/5) Calamari (5/5) - so crispy! Only thing I would not recommend is the meatballs with polenta - the meatballs were too moist and almost soggy? On top of the mushy polenta it was overall needing variation in texture.

Really lovely service! Feels casual yet elevated at the same time & you can't go wrong with any of the house made gnocchi. Personally really loved the Hamachi Crudo starter and Spring Pea Gnocchi main. Thank you to the staff for being so hospitable to my family and I.

Love Blairs. It seems that's since the pandemic they just can't find their footing again. On a Saturday night we waited for about an hour just for our salads. All the waitstaff seem to be running yet the food was still late to the table. What makes all this worse is the noise level was unbelievable we could not talk without YELLING. Invest into some soft surfaces in the dinning room. The pan fried trout was a bit on the skimpy side too. Like I said. I love Blair's but will stick with weeknight and maybe the service and noise level will be better.

We were nearby and searched Yelp for a local place we could get pasta. We came across Blair's and took it as a sign because my son's name is Blair. The place is easy to find and is very welcoming. There was no hesitation on our part to check out this new (to us) place. It was easy enough to find parking and we were also encouraged because it is fairly close to the 5, and we would have an hour and a half drive home when we left. What began as a whim to try something new might easily turn into a place we will frequent every time we are nearby. The service was friendly and everything has been well thought out from the decor to the hand made plates. The 4 of us agreed it was the best meal we have had out in quite a while. We ordered the penne bolognese, eggplant Parmesan, pan seared trout and another pasta with a tomato cream sauce. We shared 2 desserts. Tiramisu and the Pistachio b?. Both were amazing. I am not a huge tiramisu fan and this had just the right flavors. The pistachio dessert was something like a mouse, almost pumpkin spice like, only with pistachios. Great menu choices all around. There was only one disappointment and that is that they do not serve coffee. It seemed a little unusual. We hope they add that to their menu but it won't keep us away if they don't.

Such a great place!Alot of different areas to sit. Outside you have big tables and seating with plenty of privacy. There are 2 areas outside for people to enjoy a meal. Inside there's 3 rooms for seating. They have alot of different pastas and pizza. Great entrees from fish to meat. we had the bread Service very freindly and fast. Very rustic feel to this place brings coziness.

Came in on a weeknight to meet up with some friends for dinner. Parking was not an issue at all, but it is all street parking in the area. When you walk in there is no host stand, so we just went up to the bar. We had a reservation but it didn't seem to matter as there was plenty of space. While the indoor seating seems limited, there is another larger room with more tables. We opted to sit outside, as it was kind of loud inside. We ordered 2 starters, a bottle of wine, and some pastas. Although it took us awhile to decide what we wanted to order, our server was very patient and helpful when we asked questions. Service was great! Food was also good. The bruschetta with burrata was delicious, as was the arugula Caesar salad. The pasta was good, but nothing to tell home about. Overall a great spot to hang out and catch up over dinner. Glad I tried it!

This is my favorite restaurant. I just wish it wasn't so far from where I live but whenever I have to go to this one client my wife makes certain to go with me and we enjoy a really romantic dinner. There are candles all over the restaurant inside and it's very dimly lit. They have some really great appetizers that we thoroughly enjoyed. My wife always gets the pasta and she tells me it's just like the pasta she had in Italy. I branch off with meat as an entree and I can tell you the chicken is really delicious. The service is so friendly and helpful if your uncertain on what to order. We have always gotten the tera mi su and it is always so good.

One of my favorite restaurants in Silverlake. The food is yummy! I recommend the arugula salad. The pizza fresh made dough with a good balance of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Branzino was paired with squash purée and arugula simply amazing tasty and healthy dish. Pistachio budino is worth a try! The servers are polite and attentive providing excellent service. They made sure our water was full and tables were clean. Checking on our table throughout the meal. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Candles lit throughout the restaurant makes it a perfect date night spot or girls night out. Not too loud which makes it perfect for families as well. Street parking available and easy to find a spot.

I'd been wanting to try Blair's for a while as I've driven past it no less than 50 times in the last couple years and always saw a lot of people, even on week nights. I'm sad to say my experience was just okay, and the restaurant felt a bit overpriced. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere, we opted for a spot in the side dining room which ended up being pretty loud from a couple groups, but no big deal. We waited for about 10 minutes; no one came by to drop off a menu or take our drink order. We had to go back to the front and ask for service. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer as well as the Spring Pea Gnocchi and another pasta. They made an accommodation to use gnochetti with the shrimp and tomato sauce, which we were really grateful for, and it came out yummy! The portion size for the spring pea gnocchi was rather small -- not worth $28 in my opinion. Calamari was also $18 for a small appetizer size. Italian restaurants usually serve bread complementary or for a small price, but bread/butter was $12 so we opted not to order Overall, we enjoyed the food. Ambiance was nice. Service was just okay, not to the standard of an expensive restaurant. We may come back and try again in the future.

A nice place to dine. There's eating, grubbing, chowing down, having drinks, munching . . . and then there's dining. To me, that's a Blair's in Silverlake experience. I do miss the trout. And the cauliflower. These ingredients aren't really impacted species nor are in short supply, so why these beloved dishes were stricken from the record, I do not know. Tonight I tried the sea bass. Good char flavor, but a bit dry, and heavily capered, which left the dish overly briny. The salted butter was not well mixed either, so you either got a mouthful of salt or none at all. (Taste your food chef!) Service was pleasant, albeit generic. I didn't feel chaperoned through my shaky choices, redundant order was perfunctorily accepted. For example: arugula salad + sea bass = a lot of similarly seasoned and textured greens. It might have been suggested something with more varied texture, but alas. The red wine was served cold - and lacked depth that comes with a decent temperature, especially on a chilly evening. I did find joy in the arugula Caesar salad and some bites of the sea bass. They've also discontinued serving hot beverages. (Read: no coffee after dinner). An omen of a downward spiraling civilization - perhaps I'm a bit dramatic. It would have finished off the meal properly . Overall, though the effort felt solidly "dialed-in", it was still a nice dining experience - though it could have easily and with minimal effort, been nicer.

Loved my dinner at Blair's. Had a romantic vibe, great place for a date night! Would recommend getting multiple things to share; the braised short rib with polenta and leeks were INSANE, the ragu bolognese was also amazing, the crispy garlic rosemary potatoes were on point, and finishing with the pistachio budimo was just... perfection. Service was fantastic. Will definitely be back some day

Terrible service ruined our evening. We were in the back patio and were told we could take any table as it was empty. We took a table and immediately another server comes and tell us to leave that and choose another one. No problem but within less than 5 minutes, it was given to someone else. Next, our struggle with service started- did not get ys glasses or cheese or chili oil after we had asked. The pizza was not what we ordered and on top of that, all of this took 1 HOUR to arrive. No apologies for this behavior. After being at the end of our patience, we had to get up and ask them to see if there is an issue with serving us - just told us we are short staffed and now, we are sorry it took a bit. No trying to make up for their miss or acknowledging without us having to literally get up to ask. Extremely impolite. Dont think we are returning.

Just... yes. Bring your date, bring your mom, bring all your friends. Cute outdoor and indoor space with ambiance that is to melt for. All while eating legitimately some of the yummiest food silverlake has to offer. Pics will tell you the rest.

The short ribs with polenta and leeks is unbelievable. It is a true show stopper. The atmosphere is very comfortable- not too bright or too dark. Attentive service and good wines. But remember- you're here for the Short Ribs

My friends and I had a wonderful dinner here at Blair's last night. We had the freshest tasting pine nuts pears and snap peas and the beet panzanella awesome blue cheese and candied walnuts arugula salads, deliciously authentic mushroom pasta and a puttanesca pasta dish, and the seared steel trout dish! Everything was fantastic! The service - impeccable, they regularly came back to our table to check on us! Can't recommend this place enough! Please support LA's local businesses!! Cheers!

Hey Yelpers! I hope everyone is doing great. I wanted to drop a quick note about Blairs restaurant in Silverlake. First off, Blairs is absolutely cozy and warm with a friendly vibe. I love supporting a local restaurant for sure! That's why I was a little sad that I couldn't give Blairs more than three stars based on our dinner last week. Four of us went in for dinner. We were seated really promptly just great and then we looked at the menu and we shared a couple of things for the table. The fried calamari really good. Just wish it was actually bigger so that we could share for four of us we ordered two salads the market and the Caesar salad both were really delicious so we were looking forward to dinner. My boyfriend and I ordered the short rib with polenta ($57) I love short rib and sodas, my boyfriend, so it seem like a perfect dish to share. The size of the plate was yes, just perfect to share. However, the short rib was not what we were expecting. We were expecting it well flavored short rib instead the short ribs, mostly fat and not a lot of flavor. Just not a good cut of meat. The chard broccoli came out perfect, and went really well with the polenta so we just ate mostly the broccoli and the polenta instead of the short ribs, which was very disappointing for $57! My friend order the pulled pork sandwich, which was really really smoky. That's all that you could. Jesus is the smokiness of the grill. And finally, my other friend ordered the trout, which was actually the better meal out of the table. We chose these dishes based on you know the recommendations from the server and also they were out of most of the pizzas and bread and butter as well so maybe it was Edo not a good night, but for us, you know, we really wanted to enjoy this place. Also, it's just beer and wine, FYI. Perhaps we'll give it another try some other time.

I have been to Blair's twice and so far it has not disappointed. My second visit I got the bread and butter and as it was good it's definitely something to share for two people and not a party of 1. Would be better toasted. Service can be kind of slow if you sit at the bar. I have yet to actually go on a date and have a table but I plan on it next Sunday to see what that experience is like. There is no host stand which can be very confusing at first it's very bodega mom and pop ish. Blair's is very very cozy which makes it date night friendly and friend date friendly as well. Also good music is played slightly in the background as well. 4 star rating because I got the same thing both times once I try more of the menu I should be able to give it 5 stars.

Good food, but outrageously overpriced. I mean shockingly so. And I know inflation, etc etc, but their prices are totally unreasonable for what you get. Still, the food is good and the restaurant is nice, just expect to drop a huge amount of money for a little food. Service was nothing to write home about.

Food is fairly solid, but a bit high on the prices. Star of the show was certainly the bread and meatballs - both tasty! Would come back if in the area, but certainly not the best Italian in the city we've had at the price point.

The ambiance was perfect in the bar and they have a more formal DR and a casual outdoor area depending on your mood. Menu limited but good. Wine too pricey opted to pay the 25$ corkage fee. It would be a great wine bar option, the bar is cozy, if they had reasonably priced glasses.

came in as a walk in and was seated right away on the bar. Bartenders and waiters were very nice and recommended some items to try. We got the shrimp pasta and the sausage pizza and both items were piping hot when they came out--so just be careful when you take your first bite. Food was great and I also appreciated that they had nice lighting and great 80s music playing in the background, loud enough to hear but not too loud to drown out the conversation. Good food good people I look forward to my next visit

YUM ! Went there for dinner, had reservations so we sat right away. Server was at the table immediately with bottled water. Server was nice, kind and thoughtful. Then came the bread and butter, jeez that was good. I had a non alcohol beer that was heaven the girls had wine the entree's were soooo good I had the burger (delicious) girls split an arugula salad and a pizza which they loved. The inside is really nice, it's just peaceful with good music. I highly recommend this restaurant it was wonderful.

Blair's is a hit for me. My friend and I wined and dined here the other night and would have closed down the place if they didn't kindly scoot us away to accommodate the growing wait list. Nestled in Silverlake, Blair's offers up tasty eats and drinks that you expect from a local/trendy neighborhood spot. The bread, the eggplant parm, the damn ARUGULA SALAD. Everything was a delight. The service & staff were top notch and I have to give them kudos for upselling a bottle of wine and offering to cork it for us if we didn't finish it - that's a first for me! Highly recommend sitting outdoors, enjoying the perfect LA weather and dining amongst Silverlake locals.

Food! Yes!! The charred broccolini was absolutely exceptional. We did it as an appetizer and all of us were very in favor of this dish. I had the...gnocchetti(?) with mushrooms and something which was also stand out. Exceptional flavors, rich but not totally decadently so. I took my time and lingered over it, which meant I ordered a second glass of the very nice red blend. Seems like the kind of place where everything maybe changes regularly. Went with a friend who expressed that they'd been several times over the years and never quite got it but has friends who rave so they'd try it one more time. I think the broccolini won them over. Not sure my dining companions were as blown away by their main course. Service was curiously meh. Our order was taken. Our food was served. When I wanted another glass of wine stalking was not required. But. No spark. No smiles really. Just meh. Ambiance was fine, not stand out but nice.

My family thought the food was fabulous. I thought it was okay. That is not why they are getting one star from me. We had five adults and a toddler. Does a toddler count for a party of six so they can stick an automatic 20% gratuity on your a**? I am 70 years of age and have never, ever had a restaurant put a 20% gratuity as a matter of fact on my bill before in my entire life. I would probably have tipped them 17.5 (my standard) or 18.5%, so my quibble might seem to be a minor one? My quibble is that it did not get a choice without making a fuss. It was a family gathering, a birthday for my daughter, I was new to this place and was just not willing to make a fuss. Yes, you fools. I'll pay your 20% tariff. And you're never going to see my ass again. Goodbye and good luck, you arrogant fools.

Friendly neighborhood spot with quality food and competent service. Dimly lit, intimate atmosphere that remained relatively quiet during our meal despite being busy. Fun, curiosity-inspiring wine list. Ridiculously delicious kale side dish. A great dinner spot.

Blair's is such a neighborhood gem! The food is absolutely delicious. Homemade pastas, amazing housemade bread, and great service. Our server Terry has been amazing two trips in a row! We can't wait to return.

Blair's was perfect for a romantic night out. The ambiance, especially the lighting, was warm and invited lean-in conversation. Service was friendly and precise, but it's pacing was uneven. Food was well priced and portioned to be shared by a small group. The beet salad was outstanding, with a high quality cheese and peppery arugula.

Blair's has really good bread. Whether it's their bread and butter appetizer or their pizza, the breads really stand out. They're doughy and chewy and puffy and flavorful and delicious. I guess you could order something else (like their charred broccoli--which is also fantastic), but I say stick to the bread.

Long time customer of Blairs, always been a favorite. Now there's a new chef and some new dishes and it's great! Love what he's doing. Definitely check it out.

One of my favorites, glad they survived covid and are thriving even more than before, means alot more crowds but glad they are doing well! The tiramisu is my absolute favorite, the flourless chocolate cake is not very far behind. Love this place

Doesn't have a lot of options in the menu. The music inside is too loud, we should have sat down outside. The waiters were nice and very accommodating and know the menu really well. Plenty of parking spaces in the neighborhood.. I wouldn't say I would want to come back here though.

One of my fave neighborhood joints. We always get lucky with seats at the bar. There's picnic style tables outside as well as tables indoors. A very sultry vibe indoors if you ask me ;) Although they get busy, the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Everything we've ordered here is delicious with great quality ingredients. The portion sizes are great too! Parking can be found around the neighborhood.

Met some friends for dinner at Blair's. We had many other restaurant options, but decided to return to the staple of the community. It was Friday at 7 and we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table.It was chilly so we sat inside. We walked to our table with masks on and felt quite safe taking them off once we sat. Service was great as usual. My friends order a sparkling wine, I was in the mood for a beer. We shared a market salad and pepperoni pizza as a starter. I could eat that salad all day! 2 slices of pizza eat made us kind of full in a good way. Seems everyone loves the pizzas as they kept coming out of the kitchen all night! My entree was the bone in short rib. It's been on the menu for over 15 years for a reason! Sooo good. We were too full for dessert! Maybe next time!

I really wanted to like this place as it's close by but the server's recommendations were not good and the dishes we got were heavy, not flavored well, and just not good.

Blair's used to be my favorite restaurant in Silverlake but unfortunately their prices are no longer justifiable. They also changed either recipes or the chef because it doesn't taste the same anymore. It's still good but not great so paying $26 for a vegetarian pasta dish doesn't feel right. I also missed the brilliant playlist that made Blair's a special destination for dinner. It didn't help that the music was way too loud. Their wines are amazing and I love the simple decor but don't think I will be back for a while.

My husband and I were very excited to try Blair's, looking for another fantastic neighborhood spot. Blair's has great ambience and a nice buzz. The service was professional, but completely impersonal. The food was meh. I guess some would say the seasoning was subtle, but for me that translated to bland. Barbrix is still our favorite Los Feliz Italian restaurant.

One of my favorite spots in Silver Lake, great atmosphere, great Italian food, easy street parking, and worth the price.

Looking for a great, cozy neighborhood restaurant that has excellent food? Well, you've found it! They have a good selection of wine and Italian fare. We got Bolognese, a burger and bruschetta. They make the bread and pasta in house. All items ordered were delicious. Pricing is reasonable given the food quality. 2 people w 1 app, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and a beer set us back ~$100. Street parking and there is outdoor seating which would make this a must visit on a nice summer night.

Blair's Restaurant is actually very good even though I have never met Blair. I've only ever met one Blair and they were that Trans Republican online person who is somehow trans and republican at the same time. They were crazy but proof that google, facebook, apple, etc are not in our humanity's best interest because they prop these kinds of people up. But this has nothing to do with the real Blair and her/their restaurant which has delicious bread which I am about to start talking about. The arugula salad is so good that my nonbinary partner who doesn't eat salad actually eats it with some gusto. If I were you, I'd start off with some nice wine and bread. Don't eat all the bread. Take the rest home with the butter. Then move into the arugula salad. From there launch into the main course of your choosing I have no doubt they are all good. I have had the roasted chicken and the trout. My nonbinary partner likes pasta way too much and I'm worried about their nutritional intake but since they eat some of the salad here I am fine with it. Nothing gets me excited like Blair's Restaurant. Get it in before we all strike for better wages.

Delicious dinner, beautiful back patio. They could use one more server, but honestly if I didn't have a toddler I would have been very pleased w the slow pace, European style dining. My wife could not stop raving about her sea bass (perfectly cooked) and she is now an olive convert due to their well seasoned appetizer. We also loved the beet salad! My simple and yet delicious tomato basil pasta was wonderful! Thank you, we will be back!

Came on a busy Valentine's Day night and enjoyed a pleasant meal here. My date & I both ordered the Short Ribs and were instantly in love with the dish. The short ribs were insanely tender & full of deliciousness. I wasn't the biggest fan of the polenta underneath but it wasn't anything unbearable. The bruschetta was pretty good, the bread was super warm when it arrived, which was a huge plus. The tomato "salad" itself could use just a dash more salt for my palette, but still very enjoyable overall. This place definitely has a more intimate feel, almost small town ish with the amount of space and people they can accommodate. Had somewhat of an older crowd, but definitely feels like a wine bar with good food. The layout of the restaurant is a little funky but everyone was greeted for the most part. Emma was a lovely server and carried herself so well despite how busy the night was.
