"Walking into Bi-Rite Market always feels like a picnic basket exploded and became a store. It’s a reliable, one-stop shop that has everything you need for a day at Dolores—from chocolate bars and cold deli salads to Cowgirl Creamery brie and fresh fruit. For something more substantial, they also make great sandwiches, like the Vegan Hippy with avocado and crispy sweet potato, or the prosciutto and mozzarella on an Acme baguette. If you’re in the mood for dessert, walk across the street to Bi-Rite Creamery for thick soft serve or a cone of rincanelas ice cream. " - julia chen 1
"If you want to cook, but don’t want to cook cook, order from Bi-Rite. Their meal kits come with roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, roasted brussels sprouts, butternut squash, and pie - and all you have to do is reheat. The kits are available in servings of 4-6 ($150) and servings of 8-12 ($295). Pick-up and delivery are from Nov. 20th-26th. Order online." - julia chen 1
"SF’s favorite boutique grocery sources beautiful produce from local farms, and their pies are a cut above the usual options on the bakery aisle. For Thanksgiving, they stock up on pumpkin, pecan, apple, and a chocolate bourbon mousse situation that looks serious." - Dianne de Guzman, Becky Duffett, Eater Staff
"Buy Right Pickup the best local food products the bay area has to offer at Bi-Rite Market. The Mission was not always the pantheon of San Francisco nouveau cuisine that it is today. Now, the area—especially the block of 18th Street between Guerrero and Dolores—is the hottest foodie street in the city. You'll know the street by the lines outside Delfina Pizzeria and Bi-Rite Creamery (which is separate from the market). But to get a glimpse into a real foodie hotspot, stop into Bi-Rite Market and dodge crowds for gourmet groceries, local produce, and a cooler full of small-batch cheese."
