Beretta, a vibrant Italian gem in the Mission, pairs mouthwatering handcrafted pizzas with inventive cocktails, making it a must-visit for any occasion.
"Beretta has the noise and crowd of a Spin Doctors concert, so it’s not an ideal spot for a date, but if you’re out in the Mission and get hungry, it comes through in a pinch and won’t slow down the night. You can get a couple of appetizers, like their walnut bread with burrata, or skip straight to pizzas. Either way, you’ll leave happy and ready to go back out." - will kamensky
"When: Monday-Thursday, 5-6pm Beretta is an Italian spot in the Mission with an upbeat energy that’ll keep you awake even though you had to get up at 6am this morning. Their “ora di aperitivo” is the move. During Happy Hour, you can choose from $8 cocktails and glasses of wine. They also have deals on dishes like eggplant caponatina, meatballs in spicy marinara, and a selection of solid pizzettas for $10 each." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez
"We come to Beretta’s Mission and Divisadero spots for the pizzas, pastas, and appetizers that are mostly under $25. Their pastas aren’t the most mind-blowing in the city, but when all we want to do is scream into a bowl of carbs, anything will do (the butternut squash ravioli with sweet brown butter is a great choice). Plus, the friendly bartenders, great Happy Hour deals, and lively energy make Beretta a better place to spend Friday nights than our couch. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez
"Beretta is an industry favorite in the Mission. Since their kitchen is open till 1am, you'll often find chefs from other restaurants cozying up to the bar for a late bite. The menu has an Italian slant with many light veggie and vegan options but if you eat meat the lamb chops and meat balls cannot be missed. Their bar program is top notch and their wine list is expansive! Great spot for a 1st or 100th date! Perfect for brunch as well." - Avocados and Coconuts
"You’re a week out from your birthday and while your plan was to just binge-watch The West Wing with an ice cream cake, you now regret not planning something. Two ideas for you: One, wait a few minutes and see if the feeling passes. Two, get everyone together for pizza, risotto, and cocktails at Beretta. You can usually still get a reservation at this Mission classic just a few days ahead of time and if you have a bigger group, they do a very-well priced prix fixe for $25-$45 per person. There’s a strong chance you’ll see someone at the bar that you matched with on Bumble, but just make them buy you a birthday shot and call it even." - taylor abrams
