Belon, a stylish neo-Parisian bistro in Hong Kong's Soho, serves exquisite French cuisine in a cozy setting, perfect for a delightful dining experience.
"Belon moved to this spot in 2021, with a room that sports more drama and sophistication than its original Parisian bistro vibe. With Chef Kirkley at the helm, the menu offers popular dishes such as whole roasted chicken, alongside reimagined crowd-pleasers and novel creations. Dishes are rooted in French techniques and made with the best seasonal produce. Consider reserving the kitchen counter and prepay for the curated menu for four." - Michelin Inspector
"Hong Kong has no shortage of high-end French restaurants, but Belon is a more casual option, like the everyday bistros all over Paris. They still take themselves pretty seriously, but not in ways we’re going to complain about - ingredients are the best they can find, and the bread is baked in house. The menu sounds like a list of classics (roast chicken, foie gras), but the local influence is in there as well - that roast chicken comes out whole (head and feet attached) to share, just like in Cantonese restaurants. Make sure you order it." - jess basser sanders
"Rank: #88 "At Belon, a neo-Parisian bistro in the heart of Hong Kong, simplicity and technique are key."
"Rank: #25 "Named after the bulbous European oyster traditionally found in Brittany, Belon mixes the vibrancy of the Hong Kong strip with a bustling Parisian bistro in the Soho district. Using an array of fine local ingredients, Belon showcases pared-back technique, with former Coi and The Fat Duck chef Matthew Kirkley newly at the helm. After making its debut in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2018, Belon was the Highest Climber 2019, rising 25 places to No.15."
