At Bar Agricole, the airy, contemporary space serves up creative Californian dishes and meticulously crafted cocktails, all sourced with precision.
"Step out of SoMa’s chaotic nightlife and into Bar Agricole’s inviting garden patio. Here, California cuisine and craft cocktails reign supreme. Try the Bronx Terrace, a cocktail made from gin, lemon, vermouth blanc and bitters, or take a cue from the restaurant’s name and order a ‘Ti Punch with rhum agricole, cane syrup, and lime peel. Whatever you select, you can rest assured that the ingredients were chosen with care. Owner Thad Vogler imports exclusive brandies and spirits from small producers, and he and his team personally taste and select each barrel. It’s no wonder the restaurant has been nominated multiple times for a James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program. Not to be outdone, chef Seth Stowaway brings equal attention to the menu (think farinata with parcel, new garlic, frisee and chives or Monterey King salmon with fried farro and tokyo turnips) with ingredients sourced from local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen." - Airbnb
"Bar Agricole, a James Beard Award-winning bar, is moving to the former Liliana space at 2875 18th Street in the Mission District. The bar will open on June 4 with a ticketed party. It previously operated at 355 11th Street and 1540 Mission Street, offering a tasting room and bar. The new location will focus on being a true cocktail bar with a smaller footprint." - Lauren Saria
"The much-hyped return of James Beard Award-winning Bar Agricole is set for Tuesday, June 4." - Paolo Bicchieri
"Bar Agricole, the James Beard award-winning cocktail bar, will be mixing cocktails and pouring spirits inside Quince, the three-Michelin-starred fine dining destination from owners Michael and Lindsay Tusk. The bar’s residency will run about two or three months, according to a spokesperson, while Bar Agricole owner Thad Vogler works on relocating the bar from its former SoMa location to its future home in the Mission. Veteran bartender Craig Lane will be behind the stick at the Quince bar — which, by the way, features a top-of-the-line system designed and built by Norwegian manufacturer Behind Bars — shaking and stirring a menu of about a half dozen cocktails he created with Vogler. The list includes versions of classic drinks all made to showcase the single-origin spirits procured and sold by Bar Agricole. The martini, for example, uses Bar Agricole’s biodynamic gin made by St. George plus Alpine amaro and chenin blanc; the Scotch sour stars Kilchoman 100% Islay Malt Scotch with orange and honey. For tequila fans, a daisy cocktail features Destilado de Verde, an agave spirit by Rezpiral, alongside seasonal fruit — namely, lemon and blackberry. All of the Bar Agricole single-origin spirits will also be available by the ounce to sip on-site or the bottle to take home." - Lauren Saria
"Mission Street’s Bar Agricole, which won a James Beard Award in 2019 and made headlines when it reopened from a pandemic-induced slumber in 2022, is closed entering the new year. Owner Thad Vogler confirmed to Eater SF the restaurant will reopen around the 'end of the month' after the team gets a chance to rest and travel." - Paolo Bicchieri
