As Janelas Verdes/Riverview, a Lisbon Heritage Collection

A wonderful stay in this historic building. Our room, overlooking the walled garden, was so comfortable, with bathrobes, slippers, and a decanter of port provided! Great breakfast too. There is a library and balcony overlooking the river on the top floor - a welcoming place to relax. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, with access to public transport nearby, so it's easy to get into the heart of Lisbon. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly, ready to answer questions, and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely recommend As Janelas Verdes!

Our room was so comfortable, overlooking the walled garden, with bathrobes and slippers provided, as well as a decanter of port! The staff, especially reception, are so helpful, full of suggestions, and nothing is too much trouble. In a quiet neighbourhood, near to public transport, and the National Museum of Ancient Art. The Library and it's balcony are inviting, and a welcoming place to relax. Breakfast is delicious and so varied. Tea and coffee available all day, as well as an 'Honesty Bar'. We would definitely recommend

My experience at Janelas Verdes could not be better. I only used the rooftop for a drink and the library for a meeting, but it was so much worth it! Beautiful view, well arranged space, amazing people working there, so nice and helpful. Thank you for showing me how Portuguese people receive. Top notch hospitality!

We loved our stay at this hotel. It was comfortable, quiet and we got treated like valued guests. By far the best part about As Janelas Verdes is the service! The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, with nice touches at every step. The late breakfast is something I really wish more hotels did. The size of this Inn really lends itself well to the tranquility of the experience: no loud canteen vibes at breakfast, no overcrowded breakout areas. We really felt at home and have never felt more looked after. The staff recommendations for first time Lisbon visitors were also very considerate and helpful. What this place lacks in flashiness and newness it makes up in coziness and peacefulness.

This historical hotel is within walking distance to the city centre, transportation and the cruise port is nearby. The rooms have luxurious bedding and towels, universal charger, toiletries, blow dryer and a carafe of port. The continental breakfast has a variety of hot and cold foods and fresh squeezed juices. The staff are extraordinaire. The garden for breakfast is quaint and the third floor library offers sodas and liquor on a honour system to be paid when checking out. There are fantastic dining options within a few minutes walk.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Down a quiet street, this 18 century house, is a luxurious, cosy, and friendly place to stay Rooms have everything, robes, slippers, Molton brown toiletries and port wine. Around the house are 3 coffee stations with drinks, tea and coffee are free, all other drinks are available on honestly bar. The library is absolutely beautiful with a balcony overlooking the huge river. Breakfast is amazing, parking is available, but has to be reserved We have 3 nights, I don't want to leave

This hotel was perfect for our short stay in Lisbon. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, the breakfasts were excellect, there was a nice room and deck on the third floor to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Great location too...walkable to everything, but not in the middle of the crowds. Would definitely stay here again.

No need to look anywhere else for a beautiful hotel in Lisbon this was a lovely stay.||Friendly check in.||We stayed in a suite on the first floor overlooking some building in the foreground and the river in the background.||The room was very spacious and had another room with a sofa and drink making facilities to relax in.||Bathroom was ample size.||We were surprised withs bottle of bubbly for my birthday which was a lovely touch especially as we hadn’t told them it was my birthday.||There are a number of relaxing areas where there is a chance to get a drink of water, a snack or a tea/coffee. Also an honesty bar.||On the 3rd floor is a lovely library/astronomy room with a balcony you can enjoy the fresh air and views.||Noise wise, no noise at all apart from some outside noise in the early hours on Saturday/Sunday from some revellers coming home from a night out, otherwise not a peep.||Hotel is in a nice neighbourhood with plenty of bars and restaurants tucked away in the side streets much nicer than the tourist traps. It’s a little trek into the more touristy area of Lisbon but you can get some walking in or enjoy public transport.
