"Just a little over 300 feet from the towering cupola of St. Stephen's Basilica and arranged around a glass-roofed 19th-century courtyard, the Aria Hotel is hands-down the place for music lovers in Budapest. Placido Domingo, Lennie Kravitz, and Rita Ora are amongst those who have enjoyed the hotel’s music-inspired hospitality, and the walls of the Mirror Bar are covered in the signatures of other famous musical guests. The four musically-themed wings contain 49 rooms, either with private terraces onto the courtyard, or views onto the elegant surrounding streets. Each room is inspired by an individual composer or musician, decorated with fabulous original art by Czech caricaturist Josef Blecha, and has its own marble fireplace, with décor ranging from the voluptuous and extravagant purples of the opera wing to the more restrained palette and lines of the classical wing. After a day of sightseeing guests can unwind in the early evening over complimentary cheese and wine in the courtyard, which from Thursday to Sunday is accompanied by live music from the best local performing artists."
"Opened in 2015, this colorful spot from NYC-based The Library Collection celebrates music—and music lovers. Set in the historic city center, near pedestrian dining and shopping streets, the restored 19th-century bank now houses 48 rooms and suites spread over four genre-themed towers. Each accommodation is named for musical legends in that theme, so think names like Puccini in the Opera tower, Billie Holliday in Jazz, Prince in Contemporary, and Chopin in Classical. The decorative style and details vary slightly depending on the genre (Classical rooms have Murano glass chandeliers, for example, while Jazz ones have Art Nouveau-inspired furniture), but aside from caricatures of the featured artists and related books and CDs, the vibrant décor isn’t kitschy or themed. Instead, guests can expect luxurious comforts like high-end (and customizable) bedding, home theater-grade entertainment systems (linked to a digital music library), onyx-lined bathrooms, and Handy 4G phones for complimentary international calling. Downstairs, the glass-roofed Music Garden courtyard is the place for breakfast, daily afternoon wine and cheese hour, and live music performances (all complimentary), while the fireplace- and terrace-equipped Satchmo’s lounge pairs cocktails with jazz, and the Stradivari Restaurant serves Hungarian-inspired farm-to-table menus amid strikingly bold décor. The underground Harmony Spa relaxes with holistic therapies, a heated pool, and saunas and steams rooms, while the rooftop High Note Sky Bar—open year-round—has become one of the hottest hangouts in town for its spectacular views (get there early to snag one of the floating “love nest” seating nooks). Don’t miss a visit to the lobby-level office of the in-house Musical Director, who can help plan itineraries, source tickets, create city-themed playlists, or lend you a concert DVD to watch in the hotel’s private screening room."

Aria Hotel Budapest, Pest, Budapest - Explore & Book
"From Beethoven to the Beatles, music is the be-all and end-all at Aria. There are striking piano-key floor tiles in the lobby. The central courtyard is the 'Music Garden', a ravishing, glass-ceilinged conservatory complete with a space-age piano. And the 49 beautifully designed rooms and suites each honour a musical legend - Sinatra, Stravinsky, the Stones, they’re all here. There’s even a multi-media library so you can borrow their music.Dine in style at the classy Liszt restaurant, drink cocktails in the spectacular rooftop High Note Sky Bar, or luxuriate in the subterranean spa, with its arresting neon-blue lightscape and mural of jazz musicians. Back above ground, there’s the groovy Mirror Room, whose mirrors bear signatures of celebrated guests like Plácido Domingo, and the distinctly more restrained Library, perfect for a spot of reading. When not enjoying that little lot, kick back in your room and slip on another superb soundtrack. Everyone, music lover or not, will adore Aria.

Big, for a boutique city hotel (49 rooms)Expensive for Budapest (and rates don't include tax), but utterly uniqueIn some rooms, bathtubs are located in the bedroom - not to everyone's liking - and the Opera Suites only have showersBreakfast tables are small, so get easily cluttered" - Norm Longley

"Budapest’s Aria Hotel is, like its cousin in Prague, not just named after a musical term but fully immersed in a musical theme from top to bottom. Its four wings—Classical, Jazz, Opera, and Contemporary—feature rooms dedicated to legendary musicians, from Bach to Billie Holiday, Handel to Whitney Houston." - Tablet Hotels
My husband and I were thrilled with our stay at Aria. Our room was beautiful. The hotel was convenient for attractions we wanted to see. All staff were well trained, professional and friendly. Standouts were Krista and Lauren in front, Robert at Skybar, and Jason at breakfast. The breakfasts were excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon wine and cheese. We will stay here again if we return to Budapest!

I came to this hotel expecting a beautiful room, and what I received went far beyond my highest expectations. The interior and exterior are simply breathtaking, with elegant design and meticulous attention to every detail that creates a truly luxurious atmosphere -- I even got a room with its own name, "Rolling Stones," which was interesting.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is the extraordinary service. I had an emergency and the hotel staff made arrangements for me to help address it. However, I lost my phone in the scuffle and was quite distraught. The staff did not hesitate to go above and beyond—searching tirelessly for my phone well into the night, even in the dark, combing through bushes and turning over every metaphorical rock to look for my phone. Their genuine care, dedication, and kindness turned a stressful situation into one filled with comfort and reassurance. I would give 6 stars for the service if I could. This kind of heartfelt hospitality is rare, and I am profoundly grateful. I highly recommend this hotel not only for its stunning beauty but for the remarkable kindness and professionalism of its team. If I'm ever back in Budapest, Aria would be my top choice.
Thank you to the excellent staff!

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Rooms are beautiful ( we were very fortunate to receive a upgrade). Staff are super attentive. Its location is close to all areas that are of importance. The High note bar is great, although I imagine in the warmer months it would be spectacular to sit out side.
2 minor point ( that would not determine me from staying again).
The spa was a bit on the cool side, especially as the weather is getting cooler.
2. The music in the atrium are can sound a bit loud.
I wonder how many people use the pool and spa, versus it would be cool to turn this area into a fully dedicated music area including a bespoke jazz bar.
If you are thinking of staying here do not hesitate it is wonderful.

Great boutique hotel. Beautiful large rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, terrific breakfasts and afternoon wine and. cheese with live music almost rendered dinner unnecessary. The location is the best- less than 100 yards from St Stephen's Basilica, one of the best venues in the city- and from multiple restaurants, the square and shops.

The hotel is beautiful and unique. It is situated next to St. Stephen's and in a great location for everything. The rooms are themed. We had the James Brown room, complete with free standing tub, huge shower and modern furnishings. Wine and cheese hour and breakfast buffet was included.

The Aria was splendid! Great room, spacious bathroom, excellent food, & superb service.
We were assigned the Leonard Bernstein room, & couldn’t’ve been happier with it.
The entire staff was worthy of praise. We’d like to give a special shout out to Receptionist Karen who was especially thoughtful, helpful, knowledgeable, smart, & kind.
The rooftop dining provided a spectacular view of the sunset & local landmarks.
The masseuses were exceptional—no overpriced “fluff-&-buff” but real massages.
Our only complaint was the small size of the fitness area. While better than most European hotels, the only place to spread my yoga mat was in a walkway. Yet so many hotels don’t even have a fitness room at all, & no other hotel at which we stayed even had mats!
