Altro Paradiso serves creative Italian fare that feels effortlessly elegant in a stylish, airy space, perfect for a casual night out with friends.
"Between the spacious sidewalk setup, fresh pasta, and great wine, going to this west Soho restaurant will probably make your week. But going to Cafe Altro Paradiso when they have live jazz on Sunday night may make you weep. You can make a reservation for either their indoor or outdoor dining area here." - hannah albertine
"Your family members don’t have to play tennis or own a beach house to like Altro Paradiso—but that’s the energy here. This is a half-fancy Italian place with blonde wood and white marble tables, although it isn’t corporate or uptight like a place where you might eat with your family in Midtown. The menu constantly changes, but it tends to involve things like simple pastas, an incredible fennel salad, and cured meats. So come here when you’re looking for something calm and special, but you want to stay downtown." - hannah albertine, kenny yang
"Why do I automatically feel like I’m part of the cool girl club when I dine at Altro Paradiso? Probably because this upscale Italian restaurant is a favorite amongst Hollywood’s Confident Queens Jennifer Lawrence, Zoe Kravitz, and Lily Rose Depp. However, my favorite Altro Paradiso regular is Girls hottie Christopher Abbot, who has been spotted here dining alfresco (and yes, he has been seen on Raya, according to my followers, so if you are single and think Christopher is as hot as I do, linger on the corner of Spring Street and Sixth Avenue to shoot your shot)." - Deuxmoi
"Cafe Altro Paradiso is an Italian restaurant between Soho and the West Village, and it’s from the same people behind Estela. We don’t like it quite as much as that place, but it’s a lot larger, and it’s good to know about if you work in the area. The menu typically has some lighter pastas, and some large things like chicken Milanese, and they also do a burger at lunch. If you come with a few people, there are also a few big tables and booths." - bryan kim, hillary reinsberg
"Altro Paradiso is from the same people behind Estela, although this place is much bigger, and it’s open for both lunch and dinner. The food here is Italian, but it’s not the red-sauce kind—they serve a lot of small plates and lighter pastas, as well as larger things like fish and a chicken milanese. During the day, Altro Paradiso is perfect for a lunch meeting, especially if it’s one that seamlessly transitions into Happy Hour. You could also just stop by for an Italian spritz made with orange blossom and a very good wagyu burger at the bar." - Kenny Yang, Bryan Kim, Carina Finn Koeppicus, Willa Moore, Sonal Shah
