abba Rambla Hotel

Great hotel. The rooms were very clean and more than sufficient for our 4 night stay. Safety deposit box in the room is free and useful to have. Nice big towels and plenty of good quality toiletries provided. The staff were very helpful and answer any questions you have. They gave us really good tips on how to get about on the metro. If you want the breakfast buffet, reasonably priced. Some other reviews have expressed concern on the location. It's in an ethnically diverse area but myself and my wife felt safe, just take a common sense approach as you would in any big city. A big plus is it's proximity to the Metro, literally 5 minutes away. Would recommend as good value.

This was my second time visiting Barcelona. The hotel was a short walk from Las Ramblas. Our room was spacious and clean, and we had a wonderful time there. It had good access to tourist spots, and it was fun to take a walk around the area, especially before it got too late at night. The staff were very kind and friendly to us, even though we couldn't speak Spanish well and our English wasn't very good. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again if I have the chance to visit Barcelona in the future. The reasons I didn't give it a full 5 stars: * We were charged a tourist tax at check-out, even though we were told at check-in that it wasn't necessary. * We were told that the water in the refrigerator was complimentary, but we were charged for it at check-out. (Maybe there were some complimentary bottles and some that weren't. The only water bottles in my room were glass ones, so maybe those were the ones you had to pay for.) I paid the extra charges because I'm not good at speaking English and I had other things to do that day, but it was a little disappointing. Overall, though, I would recommend this hotel to other people. I'm very grateful to all the staff. Thank you!

The hotel is very nice overall but located in a very difficult area in Barcelona. The street and the streets nearby are full of thieves and somehow violent characters. Rooms for clean and comfortable, but the water was always cold, so if you're planning on visiting this hotel during winter, make sure you like cold showers.

The room was very clean. I satisfied with cleaning service. Room was comfortable and have all needed things there. Mini-bar is working good. Beds are comfortable. Location is very nice. 12-15 minutes by walk just only straight and you are behind the Columbus monument(port/seaside). 5-7 minutes by walk and you are on the main La Rambla street, where you can find everything what you want. Many thanks to Abba hotels. If i will again in Barcelona i select this hotel again.

We stayed 3 nights at two different times during December in two different rooms. +Good location. +Friendly and servicminded staff. +Parking at the Hotels Garage. +Good price with breakfast. -Neighborhood not so nice. -Rooms are in very bad shape, need renovating. -Extra bed made it very difficult, small rooms for three. -Hearthrough the walls in the room. -Only heating from the air condition during our stay. Warm days in december and even warmer inside. -Found ants in our room at the trhird and fourth floor.

Thank you for everything! Nothing was missing from the room . Service was perfect , cleaning everything. The gentleman in the reception helped us the first day by giving us some instructions for Barcelona . Indeed , the area is a little bit strange but I was already aware of it before I came. Abba is a very nice, clean and friendly place to stay. The front desk staff could not have been friendly and were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, daily I might add, and is priced right. Americans, this is a European hotel, don’t expect huge! It certainly was comfortable night for us to enjoy our stay. I had to rate location low because the area does not make one feel safe. This is NOT the hotels fault. We didn’t know what the area was like when booking. You just need to be alert and try not to look like you are a tourist. It is accessible for walking everywhere however. I would stay here again if it were in a safer place. They did a wonderful job.

Had a lovely stay at abba Rambla. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, and a good variety at breakfast set us up for busy days.
